Suppressing rows in the next mail alert  (EBS)

Hi All,
I am working on an alert and looking to suppress those rows from appearing in the alert which were processed in the last alert.
i.e. Everytime the alert runs, it should NOT pickup the rows shown in the last alert.
I know there is a flag called ''suppress duplicates'' in alert sets page, however it doesnt seem to be working.
(I am not sure how to use this)
Can anyone help please.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

(I am not sure how to use this)This feature would work for a detail action (not for a summary action).

  • How can I turn off the New Mail alert on my iPod Touch?

I have an iPod Touch (version 6.1.3). The other day I was waiting for an important e-mail, so I  turned on the New Mail alert. It worked fine. Now I want to turn it off, but  I can't. I went into Settings and then to Sounds and changed the selection from the sound I'd selected ("Bell") to None. It says "None" but every time I get a new e-mail, it still makes the bell sound.
I also tried going into Notifications and then to New Mail Sound and setting it to "None" but that didn't change anything
    Any ideas what I'm missing?
    Thanks!

Try removing the mail totally from your notifications center.
I have everything turned off and the banner set to none.

  • Is there any way to change the sound of the New Mail alert.

My partner and I both an have iPhone 4. Is there any way we can change the sound of the New Mail alert. It is so confusing because we never know which phone just got a new mail.

Unfortunately due to the restrictions of iOS there is no way to change the New Mail alert sound. One way around this is to have one of you to set the phone to silent and the other not. Then when the person on silent gets a new email the phone will vibrate and the other person will get the audio alert.

  • Where do I find the Mac Mail alert sound files on the computer?

I want to find the sound files because I want to convert them to wav to use as mail alert sounds for Thunderbird which I use instead of Mail, and don't know where to find the files.
    Thanks.

    I found the solution here:

  • Can I disable the annoying Mail alerts when roaming?

Every time I am roaming (which I do a lot), and I open Mail, I get a double alert. The first says "Data roaming is turned off, use wifi..." etc etc. I click OK, then a second alert appears: "Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server..."etc. I have to click OK a second time.
This drives me crazy. I know I don't have data roaming on - I switched it off myself!. I know I cannot get mail...Again, I already went and switched off my data roaming. Why must I constantly get double alerts telling me something that I initiated myself?
When I am on a business trip and need to access old work emails for details, I have to deal with this constantly. Is there a 'Don't show this again' option like Mac OSX has? Can I turn these alerts off somehow?
I guess one solution on the horizon will hopefully be with OS4 and multitasking, the Mail app will already be open, so hopefully switching back to it will not trigger the double alerts again - I hope. Until then, any ideas?

Switch off "push" mode and select manual, this way whatever happens you are in control and you can read your mail only when you wish to.
    Hope it helps.

  • The real problem with Mail alerts in 10.5?

The one change I have noticed between Mail in 10.4 and Mail in 10.5 is that the New Mail Alert sound now plays through the wrong device.
In System Preferences you can set two separate devices (and volumes levels) for Alert Sounds and other sounds.
The new Mail sends the New Mail Alert sound to the ordinary sound output device. If this is set to volume zero the effect is that Alerts from other programs work normally but Mail is mute.
I have Alert Sounds set to play through the built-in speakers and Sound Output set to play (through an iMic USB sound device) to a sound system. The sound system is used to listen to music etc. and is switched off when not in use. That is why I want alerts to use the built-in speakers.
I am trying to get round this using the hack involving afplay. My problem is that I can't find the allowable values for the AUDIODEVICENAME argument to afplay. Anybody know? Please? Has some kind soul got five minutes to spare and Inside The Mac?

The problem still exists in 10.5.8.

  • VIP Mail alert sounds delayed on iOS8

I have general Mail alerts enabled to display on the lock screen with no sound, but I have a sound assigned to VIP mail alerts.  This worked fine on iOS 7.  At work, I often have my phone sitting on my desk and have observed some odd behavior on iOS 8.  What I see on the lock screen when I get an email from a VIP is an alert with no sound.  The next email that comes in, regardless of who it is from, will usually get the VIP sound even though it should be silent.  I'll also hear the VIP Mail alert sound randomly but infrequently for no apparent reason, usually within a few minutes of a phone reboot.
Here is how I have general Mail alerts configured:
    Show in Notification Center: off
    Notification Sound: None
    Badge App Icon: On
    Show on Lock Screen: On
    Alert Style When Unlocked: Banners
    Show Previews: On
Here is how I have VIP Mail alerts configured:
Show in Notification Center: off (this was actually on, I just turned it off, not sure if this will matter)
    Notification Sound: Aurora
Everything else is the same as above.
I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2.  I believe I also saw this on my iPhone 5 with iOS 8 and 8.0.2 before I got my new phone.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

My VIP alert notifications and alert sounds on my iPhone now happen about 15-20 minutes after emails arrive on my Mac desktop for most of my email accounts.  VIP emails coming into my email accounts that allow push notifications show alerts immediately though.  This used to work fine - maybe the problem started happening after iOS 8 was installed.   Problem only seems to happen when phone screen is locked.

  • Sync issues with Google Calendar and e-mail alerts

    Hello,
I'm experiencing a lot of problems with iCal while I'm trying to sync it with Google Calendar. I have correctly inserted my Google account information into iCal, but:
    when I create a new event and I disable the e-mail alert and save it, it automatically turns on the e-mail alert! Is there a way to disable by default all alerts? I have already tried to go to Settings - Advanced and select “Disable all alerts” with no result;
all the events I create into iCal are correctly synced with Google Calendar and I can correctly read them on the web app, but in my android device they don't have the time information (they are listed as all-day events)

GooSync would do the trick - http://www.goosync.com/
Plz be aware that Goosync nor Google Contacts supports all field from your phone so it is not an 100% backup unfortunately

  • E-mail alerts not working properly

I have a problem with my Tour which has put me in some awkward situations- like in court and work meeting- not good.
The e-mail alert makes an audible noise even when the setting is programmed for silent. My original Tour worked fine at first, and after about 3 weeks the problem appeared. Verizon replaced the phone and now the replacement worked fine at first and is now messing up after about 3 weeks.
I need a fix for this problem. I saw someone else described the same problem on the Storm forum. It appears it might be a software issue.

"Normal" is what you set it to be (with or without email alerts, etc). Loud and Silent should be evident as well.
I still think you have some setting to override the silent profile for something.
If you look at the Silent profile and check the email settings for volume, etc., everything is set to off or mute or whatever would be appropiriate for "silent'?

  • E-mail alerts in planning & essbase log

    Hi All,
1).How to get the e-mail alerts in planning .
2).where can we find in detail log file in Essbase.
    Bunny

    Hi,
To set up e-mail for workflow notification.
In planning - Administration > Application Settings
Under System Settings in the E-mail Server box - enter the smtp server information.
essbase.log will be in arborpath directory e.g. C:\hyperion\AnalyticServices\essbase.log
Also there is a log file for each application. e.g. C:\hyperion\AnalyticServices\app\Sample\Sample.log
    Cheers

  • Edit e-mail alerts generated by task lists

My client wants to customise the e-mail alerts generated to notify users of tasks due or overdue. I would like to know where the default messages are stored.
    Thanks
    Chris

    In addition
please check the below guide and make sure you have done your configurations as per it.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/be79a16b-0a01-0010-51b8-9b6d1968338d?overridelayout=true
we were having similar issues with CCMS and it was due to missing configurations in client 000 , we had instead done them in client 100,which may result cause some issues and not always trigger alerts.
In Rz20->SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors->CCMS SelfMonitoring and GRMG SelfMonitoring will give you more information.
CCMSSelfmonitoring will keep logs of all the errors which happened in CCMS itself,it mails are not triggered,it will have logs which shows why mails were not triggered.
    Thanks

  • Nokia Messaging 6303i classic - no e-mail alerts

    Hi all,
I have a problem with Nokia Messaging on my new phone - Nokia 6303i classic. The problem is that I can't enable the e-mail alert option - when I tick the "Alert me for new e-mail" option, it says "E-mail alerts not available. Alerts option ot available". My e-mail account is in Gmail. My service provider (VIVACOM, Bulgaria) says that they support Nokia Messaging and that it's up to some settings (which they apparently can't figure out!). I have all the necessary settings to access the internet and the phone browser works great; Nokia Messaging also works - connects to my Gmail account, receives messages, the only problem is with new e-mail alerts.
I know 6303i doesn't support multitasking - could the problem be related to this (e-mail client unable to run in the background)?
I used a Nokia 2330 before and it had a native e-mail client with far more capabilities - no problem with e-mail alerts, could edit (copy/paste) received e-mail body text (a very useful function which lacks in Nokia Messaging!) - can I get that on my 6303i instead of Nokia Messaging?
    Phone firmware version: V10.80/21-01-11/RM-638
    Nokia Messaging version: 1.3.49
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    N. Y.

I recieved an update from Nokia support center. For everyone wondering, here's the deal, as far as I get it 6303i comes with embedded Nokia messaging application instead of the usual s40 native e-mail client; that's why there's no e-mail alert tone option in the profiles' settings. However, when you try to enable e-mail alerts from inside the Nokia Messagign application, you get an error message stating that this option is unavailable. What I could make out is that, as s40 doesn't support multitasking, Nokia Messaging can't be left running in the background and therefore can't alert you on new e-mails. As I see it, it's a design failure.
Nokia, if you couldn't make Nokia Messaging e-mail alerts work in s40, why didn't you just leave the good old native e-mail client, for crying out loud???!!!

    N. Y.

  • Different mail alerts for each email account

Just got the new Verizon iPhone. Used BlackBerry for years. One feature of the BB that I think is missing from the iPhone is the ability to set different mail alerts for each email account. For instance, I would like to turn off alerts for my corporate Exchange account (for which I get 100 emails a day), but receive alerts for my Comcast and Gmail accounts.
Am I correct that there is only one on or off feature for the iPhone for all accounts?

That turns the account off for receiving mail as you provided, which I'm fairly certain the OP is not interested in.
The OP wants to be able to turn the new mail alert sound off for one account while leaving it on for another account while all accounts are still checked for new messages.

  • E-mail alert not activating

I think I am starting to learn about this site now. So hopefully I am asking the question in the right place. I have a new 8520, making some progress as e-mail is working and internet accessible but I cannot get the e-mail alert to work and the e-mail appear to be self deleting after a few minutes. Any help or advice welcome.

Hi dahliaeng and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Have you tried changing the current sound profile on your BlackBerry® smartphone?  You can do so by going into the Sounds and Alerts Profiles application from your home screen.
As for why they are deleting after a few minutes, what type of email account do you have configured?
    Thanks

  • "new mail alert" order

I'd like to have the option of displaying incoming mail in the "new mail alert" in "reverse order" with the newest email on top rather than the oldest. That would make this function much more helpful!

Do you have any rules that delete messages after they arrive? That would cause this sort of activity. Like, you create a rule to automatically delete any incoming eMail from your inbox and the server that contains the word "Enlargement". When an eMail with that word comes in, your incoming mail alert will sound, but the rule will delete the eMail immediately.
    Make sense?
