Suppression rights to users in FR Reports

Hi All,
I want to give supression rights to my users while accessing FR Reports for zero value rows. Please let me know is it possible to give those righhts and if yes how? I am using Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, Fusion Edition.
It is pretty urgent as reports are ready but rights are pending to be provided.

Basically the option of suppressing and showing zero values is set in FR studio where structure is defined,
But its not possible when user will be running the report.
If users want and If u feel proper to give them the authority to change this option of suppressing whenever they want , then I thing the only way is u have to give them rights to login to FR studio and train them to change the option of suppressing there itself and run the report.
This I would not recommend in any condition, as users will have access to the whole report.
what I can suggest: If its really important then
If there are not many reports for this
You can make two copies of a report : One with suppress Zero and other with unsuppressed zero
Then user can access whichever report He want.
If still something is in your mind, then u can share

Is there a built-in GUI means or power tool to access a list of all the users' subscriptions to reports in SQL 2012 ?
It seems that report admin can only view his own subscriptions, same as any other user via "my subscriptions", but no found option for report admin user to view or manage susbcriptions of other users.
How would u recommend to view the list of all the subscriptions to reports in SSRS, and as necessary to
also manage them ?
p.s. Is there a GUI for this in SQL 2014 ?

According to your description, you want to access a list which contains all users subscriptions and edit them. Right?
In Reporting Services, we have a table named "Subscription" in the ReportServer database. It includes all the information of each subscription. Please go to SQL Server Management Studio and try the query below in ReportServer database:
select c.UserName,b.SubscriptionID,a.ItemID ReportID,a.Path,a.Name ReportName
from Subscriptions b inner join Catalog a on a.ItemID=b.Report_OID inner join Users c on b.OwnerID=c.UserID
It will return us each subscription with corresponding ReportName, UserName and Path:
Then we can go to the Report based on the path if we need to edit the subscription. We don't have build-in GUI for any version SQL, but this can be a good method to get the list of subscriptions.

Depends on what you want to do Priscilla, i have quite an experience with RPCAIDP0 report and it's not the easiest report to change the standard without copying to an customer report. Also, in the previous year, SAP changed the logic of the report quite a bit in order to have the same logic as in RPCIIDP0, so they created a class (CL_HR_PT_EMPLOYEE_TAX_DATA) in which they encapsulated all the data retrieval regarding payroll results, so it's not that dificult to enhance the class itself but it's a bit dificult to get the logic right away. I have done this for several clients, so if you can be more specific maybe i can help you.

Campus User Tracking Quick report

Hi All,
I'm new to Cisco works and I'm trying to generate a report and wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I am trying to run report via campus user tracking --> quick report with the vlad id.
But my problem is, for some of the vlan I can't get the report, as I know we have lot's end hosts in that vlan.
Our network consists of bridge vlan of 200-210 from core switch --- distribution switch -- access switch.
I am getting report for my 205 vlan but not for others.

SSRS user created on Report manager is different from ReportServer database userName

It will be quite helpful if someone can advice:
I created reporting services user on SSRS report manager as MeahK1 which is network username he was given. He is created succesfully but when he tries to access live reports, he is not able to see them because he does not have any access. When checked in
ReportServer db, this user is created as MeahK instead of MeahK1.
I am trying to see user details from the below query:

According to your description, you want to grant a user to access report manager, right?
In Reporting Service, after installing a new report server, only users who are members of the Local Administrators group have permissions to access report manager. If we want to grant permissions for other users to access report manager, we should add users
to an item-level role and system-level role. Once the user account is added to an item-level role or system-level role, it will be added on the dbo.Users table within the ReportServer database. In your scenario, please check if "MeahK1" has been
added to an item-level role and system-level role. For more information, please refer to this article:

Collection based permissions to different users in SCCM Reporting

I have 7 remote locations, and hence i have created 7 different collections, and for each of them i have 7 different admin ID's.
I require that, each location should able to view reports but in the prompt section for selecting collection, they should be able to view only those collections for which they have rights.
How can i achieve this?

No, it can't be done in CM07 using instance right. Instance rights are not used in reporting at all, instance right are only used in the console.
This is easy enough to prove:
Create a test collection
Create a test user
Grant the test user access to only that test collection
Create the report will the following query:
Select
Name from
v_Collection
When you execute this report as the test user you will see all collections not just the one that you granted them permission too.
BTW this has been one of the biggest complaint of CM07/CM12 (it now work in CM12R2)

C4T Locks Users out of Reports

Does anyone else have issues with users locking themselves out of reports? It seems like a constant struggle with my company.
Here are the reasons people become locked that I have seen:
- They use the browser back arrow
- They close the window without using the X in the right hand corner or the report
- Their report crashes and locks them
- The credit card import locks reports if trying to assign transactions
When they become locked it takes 60 minutes till they can get in again. Is this necessary? A 5 or 10 minute lock makes more sense if at all.
Maybe someone can explain the benefits of a 60 minute self-induced lock on a user's report. It's terribly frustrating.

This little trick still seems to work, but only if you launch C4TE in Silverlight mode:
* Enter your user ID
* Enter the WRONG password for your user ID (ensure you get a message saying "Logon data is not correct; log on again")
* Then enter the CORRECT password for your user ID
Provided you are using Silverlight mode, you should see a small pre-login screen showing the number of failed login attempts, together with a list of running sessions for that user. Below that list is a check-box called "Delete Sessions". Tick this box and then click Continue.
You might need to do this a couple of times, but it should eventually unlock the report. Once this is done, log back out and log back in using HTML5.

I would like to logon as a different user within the report. Reason is, that I don't have the opportunity to change how the report is called. Due to some security issues, I would like to do something like "CONNECT scott/tiger@myoracle" from within the report.

Based on my research, on the windows 8.1,we could add "Run as different user" on Start in Group Policy.
Please perform the following steps:
1.Press Win+R, and type"gpedit.msc",then press Enter.
2.In the left pane, click/tap on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, and open Start Menu and Taskbar.
3.In the right pane of Start Menu and Taskbar, double click/tap on Show "Run as different user" command on Start.
4.Select Enabled, click/tap on OK.
5.Reboot the computer.

Hi. I am using Crystal Report 2008. I need to show full name (first name and last name) of the user logged in. Currently I am using "currentceusername" but it shows the user id that a user uses to login.
Is there any way to show the full name of the user in crystal report?

Not you H4... Can I suggest if someone replies to actually add something of value!!!!
Cr does not have the ability to query your AD Server. What you would have to do is use a AD query tool or Export Option and export the user info from the log on ID into a Excel or an Access table or something CR could report off of. Then you can add a subreport to get the name from the ID and insert it into the main report.
Check with your IT department, they should have tools to get the info. I'm not sure if there is a DB connector that would allow you to query the AD server directly but if there is one and it supports ODBC then you can use that as your subreport Data connection.
Typically names do not change that often so rather than running the Query every time the report is generated it would be better to export the info to a text type file and simply use it for your report. IT can put a rule on to export if the Names change.

as we supress Pop-up for a smartform or script by passing the Print Parameters
This 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS' excludes the commands(say F9 function code) in report
I think we need to set the Print paramters in the Program

One recommendation I make, when troubleshooting suppression issues, is to put a visible border of the section, area or object to be suppressed, and borders for all objects contained in the section or area. This will help isolate what's suppressed, and whether the section is truly blank or has content that's blank.
Furthermore, I recommend indicating which SDK and what version you're using when posting.

OIM - Error while acessing User Profile History report

I'm using OIM 9.1.0.2 (on JBoss 4.3.2 GA). In the admin interface when I navigate to Historical reports and click on User Profile History report link, I see a message
A system error was encountered.
Contact Oracle Identity Manager System Administrator.
I see this only in our Test environment. In prod it is working fine. Not sure what is missing:

Error states that Wrong no of attributes are going. With which user are you running this report ?
have you see this location : line 1, column 7
Does anything missing at above position ?

Manual bypass to view all history entries of all user for one report

Test have been performed on standealone BIP 10.1.3.4.1 (Patch 11931697). May be it can be reproduced with previous versions and/or other J2EE container.
Problem is now described in Oracle Support with bug ID : 12412334
Bypass solution may be helpful for people who use work directly in BIP web interface or who integrate this web interface using HTTP URLs or HTTP/REST like custom app (and may be other cases...)
When logged with an admin username, you can view OR filter "ALL" history of one all users for one report by typing an url like :
http://BIP/xmlpserver/servlet/reporthistory?report_url=/REPORT_DIR_PATH/XDO_NAME/XDO_NAME.xdo&tfilter=all
Where :
BIP is BIP Server DNS
REPORT_DIR_PATH is report directory path in BIP web interface
XDO_NAME is report's name

I don't think there is a way. There should be, but I've never seen it.

I want to use the admin user account in report and dashboard connections. But the Hyperion is automatically using the current user's credentials to fetch data.
