Supressing Drag&Drop for Assignment Blocks in Overview Page
Hi Experts,
in the standard setup it is possible to change the order of assignment blocks in a Web UI Overview page by means of drag and drop. Does anybody know how this feature can be suppressed if not desired?

Hi,
one solution is to deactivate this in the customizing of the businessrole.
Add function profile PERSONALIZATION with value ALL_DISABLED to disable all personalization functionality.
There are some other values possible like:
WA_ENABLED or PP_ENABLED
Just test a little bit arround which is the correct one for your requirement. ALL_DISABLED deactivates all personalization.

Either ignore the "You're not on the latest version of Firefox" message, change homepage to '''about:hom'''e, change it to another page or leave blank.

Big physical image size for thumbnails on blog overview page
I have a problem with the physical size of the thumbnails on the blog overview page with iWeb '08 (version 2.0.3):
In my blog overview page- see http://web.mac.com/steinfatt/site/Blog/Blog.html - the thumbnails are displayed with a width of about 182 px, but the images are not resized to this width by iWeb. iWeb only sets the width-attribute in the img-tag to this size, but the images themselves have a width of 630 px. As a result 878 KB of image data is loaded with the blog overview page.
On the single pages of every blog entry iWeb resizes all pictures to the appropriate width of 400 px.
The original images have a width between 621 and 2560 px and are transferred directly from iPhoto to iWeb via the media browser.
Does anybody know about this issue and are there any solutions or work arrounds?To which size should I resize the images? And why does iWeb '08 resize my images to a 400 px width for the blog pages with a single message, but does not so for the blog overview page?
I think, iWeb '08 should also resize the images to the appropriate value on the blog overview page (in my case to a width of 182 px). -
Data loss popup for cancel button on overview page
Hi Experts,
Data loss popup generally appears on UI, when i try to navigate with out saving the changes. This is a standard SAP behaviour.
But, i come across the requirement where this data loss popup should also appear on clicking the 'Cancel' button on overview page on UI.
I understood that, this popup will be triggered by the methods ON_BEFORE_WA_CONTENT_CHANGE & IF_BSP_WD_EVENT_HANDLER~HANDLE_EVENT of the window impl class.
Please suggest how can i make this popup work in case of Cancel button as well.

Usually when you click the "Cancel" button that means you don't want to save your entry... hence displaying the dataloss popup doesn't make really sense to me. However, you may want the user to confirm that he really wants to cancel.
So I would suggest to redefine the EH_ON_CANCEL method of your view, to display a simple confirmation popup before you actually cancel everything. This wiki will show you how to do it:

I'm new to Pages and I've searched online for an answer to this question but haven't found anything quite what I need.
When I import an image from Finder (or drag and drop from Finder) into Pages, the Text Wrap default is "automatic" which seems to be "in front of text." I have to manually click each image and then change it from "Automatic" to "Inline With Text." Is there a way to change the default so it's not "Automatic" but "Inline With Text" to save me these steps for every single image I import?
(If importing from Media Browser would behave differently, I don't use iPhoto except for Photo Stream so I need to bring them in from where I've saved them in my Finder.)

hmmm... Mcbuffy: are you implying that you *don't* get the webloc when dragging an image out of Safari and that this isn't a caused by change to Safari but is a big/conflict in mine? -
Ideas for a colour-based overview page
Does anyone have any good ideas of how to create a page that is an overview of a production facility? It would be based on 1 or 2 tables, updated once each minute, and would show the status of each of 176 production units. Each unit would need to show 2 or 3 bits of information: they could all be colour-coded or all except one, which could be numeric. Ideally you would be able to click on the unit to go to detail pages on that unit. The colour codes could be simply colour or could be icons; there are probably advantages in each.
Any thoughts on how to construct something like this?
I should admit that I am still quite new to ADF. Using 11.1.1.2 at the moment but maybe 11.1.1.4 in a month or two.You can find a ton of potential student projects here:

How to view specific assignment block information for opportunity
Hi everyone,
We have the following requirement from our users:
1) Users will specify a selection criteria to view only specific opportunities on the opportunity search screen
2) Users will then select multiple opportunities from the result list
3) Users want the ability to choose the specific assignment block information they want to view(opportunity header, sales team, partners etc)
4) We should then display this in some form so that only specific AB information is available to the users
As I am compartively new to the SAP world, I would really appreciate if some one could guide me here. Currently a solution is in place where users can launch a report which opens a new excel sheet which has information for about 7 assignment blocks(this is static and users cannot choose which ones they want). We essentially need a solution which can interact with our CRM system and give the users the ability to choose which AB information they want to view and then output this information in a printable format.
I have been told that we can use Crystal reports to accomplish this but I am not very sure as these are primarily analytics tools? It would be great if anyone can provide some pointers.

In your overview page controller you have to overwrite methods: DETACH_STATIC_OVW_VIEWS (this is where you remove your assignment block from the page dynamically), REATTACH_STATIC_OVW_VIEWS (this is where you can put your assignment block back on the page). Both methods have a returning parameter where you can specify which assignment block you want to detach/reattach.

I apologize, but this is another newbie question. I programmatically added 20 instances of a movie clip named "Token" to the stage. Token consists of a small rectangle and a dynamic text field. Each instance of Token was named "tkn." I'm attempting implement drag & drop for these movie clips. In the drag function which is called by the Mouse_Down event I've traced e.target.name. Instead of getting the name of the movie clip, tkn, I get name of the text field contained within tkn. After a lot of searching I found the mouseChildren property and within the code for the movie clip I now have the statement "this.mouseChildren = false;" This change corrected the name problem. I no longer get the name of the text field, but the movie clip name has been changed to "instancexxx," where xxx is a 3 digit number. Since I only want to drag the tkn movie clips I am testing e.target.name. How do I get Flash to keep the name of the movie clip as tkn? Thanks for your help on this.How are you "naming" the clips. My guess is you are doing something like this:

In that case you aren't naming the clip "tkn" you are reusing a variable called "tkn" to reference a movieclip. In AS2 that would be the name, but in AS3 the name is a separate property. You are getting instance## because all clips have a name property, but if a specific one isn't assigned, flash just keeps track and gives them their number. You would need to add a line like
tkn.name="tkn"
after the construction of your clips. However I think you are likely to run into problem is all the clips have the same name. Especially if you try and reference the clip by its name. Instead you might want to "add" a "type" or something property to each clip as it is created. That way you can check the type and see what it is. -

When you are in configuration tab/page, you would be by default taken to the DEFAULT configuration, i.e. the what the SAP CRM has designed for you by standard. Now in general practice we dont modify the DEFAULT configuration, we instead make a copy of it by clicking on COPY CONFIGURATION button& while copying we give a role configuration key which is associated with a business role (check in SPRO->CRM->UI Framework->Business Roles->Define Business Roles).
To answer your questions:-
(1) While i go for configuration.. there are more than one Context ID, Object Type and Sub object Type...
Which one is the right context ID.. Can you please explain...
When you are in configuration tab for viewset BP_HEAD/BPHeadOverview, you would not have the context Ids, but you would have a list of views embedded in this viewset - BP_ROLES,BP_PROFILES... etc. You can select your View to be hidden from this list and click on the button "Move to Right".
After moving it to Right Hand Side (Displayed Assignment Blocks), you can set setttings for display of this AB as 'Direct' if you want the AB to be always opened in "Expand Mode" , or as "LAZY" if you want the AB to be opened in "Collapse mode" or "HIDDEN" having the view hidden.
(2) Two different accounts has different assignment blocks listed on account overview page... any reason why ( data are not maintained on any of that account)
Ex. Account # 1 has Business Hours AB while Account #2 does not have Business Hours AB..
Having different views displayed based on a condition as it is in your case Account Type can be handled by loading different configurations at runtime in method DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION of the respective view's implementation class.
Here you can pass the configuration parameters based on the condition you are seeking. (the different configurations must be already created/saved before you load it, otherwise the system throws an exception on not finding the requested configuration).

When we are creating set types and assigning them to overview page of PRD01OV then a view is created in PRDGENSET component by the name SELSeteOV. But for each set type we have different configuration. By changing the configuration we can have a look at the fields.
Then how can we combine the views in a viewset?
I tried but it didn't work out....please help.

ALV Grid Drag & Drop - Cell-specific

I've referred SAP Standard program / SDN forum and got some logic for ALV Drag & Drop for row-specific, Column-specific and for Trees. But I didn't get for Cell-specific.
My requirement is :
If the user drags a particular cell to another cell in an ALV-grid, then that Cell value should be copied to the 'Dropped-Cell' in the ALV Grid and should be saved to that particular Internal Table.I have referred the SAP standard program BCALV_DND_03 which does from a different tree to a cell. My requirement is from the same ALV grid Table.
I've also referred BCALV_DND_04 which is useful. But here, it does it for the whole row.
Can anyone please help me in this?

Drag & Drop ViewObject as Table Exception
Hi,
When I drag & drop any view object onto the page, there are no problems when dropping it as a Form. When I drag & drop the same view object onto the page as a Table, however, a stack trace appears from JDeveloper. I have posted screen shots showing the differences:

In my demo I'd like to get the file path of a dragged object (e.g. a folder or a file from somewhere on the desktop or from the explorer..). All I could find so far was drag and drop for labels, texts etc, displayed in the same program somewhere.
I know that the file thing should be possible, too, but can't find usefull information on that, like articles or how tos or any kind of links. TIAAs I overflew it briefly, it seems that it's only
