Supressing tabs in multi tab report

I have a multi tab report that all the tabs are based off different queries. I want to suppress individual tabs and not have them export in Excel if the query returns no records.

We can do this manually by selecting required report tabs (copy) and saving them in excel or to automate this process should work on SDK.

Can we create Multi Tabbed excel Sheet using Crystal Reports 2008

We want to create a Crystal Report which will export the output as multiple Tab's ( we can use sub reports). Can we create a Multi Tabbed excel Sheet using Crystal Reports 2008 ( not Crystal reports Basic 2008). Please share any information/links on how to do that.
Also if it is not supported please let us know which version supports it.

At least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Desktop Scheduling tools listed at: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides that functionality. It allows you to burst a single report so that each Group at level 1 becomes a separate tab. You can control the tab names (and tab colors) via fields/formulas inside the report.
You can also automate the process of exporting to (and also replacing or appending to) specified tabs inside existing workbooks.

The workd around is as follows;
1)Define a dummmy service technician that can be populated in the Service order. This will help you in avoiding the error you are getting and a Preq will be created in R/3. This is necessary as an employee responsible is a required partner function to create a PReq in R/3.
2)In future when you are sure of the technician involved and enter the changes on the order, this will reflect in the PReq in R/3.
In the table OFIC_PLANT_SRV maintain entries as Wild card entries, as best practices - to avoid any specific data entry errors.

Dynamic tabs in a DeskI report

Does anyone have experience dynamically creating tabs in a Deski report? For example, we would like to show sales by store where each store has its own tab. We would like a tab to be created and visible only when the store has data that is returned from the query. We are trying to accomplish this via VBA. We have successfully done this in Excel using VBA but can't seem to find the matching tab.visible property in BO Deski VBA. We would rather not hard-code filters for each tab as the list of stores changes as the criteria for the query (ie. year/quarter) changes.

You can have dynamic tabs by placing the <htmlb:tabStripItem> in a loop in the layout:
<% loop at tabstrip_tab. %>
<htmlb:tabStripItem index="<%=tabstrip_tab-index%>" etc. />
<% endloop. %>
Where tabstrip_tab contains the details of the tabstrip items.

What have you tried? I generally drop the excel file on the Numbers icon in the doc.
If you want the files to remain excel files you should get excel. If you are ok transitioning to Numbers give it a try. Numbers will export to excel once a file is open but does NOT natively save excel files.
You can also try OpenOffice or LibreOffice for free.

[Agentry] Identifying the selected object in multi-tab lists on iPad

On iPad, we can create a multi-tab lists to group objects based on different criteria as shown below.
In my implementation, I created a Tile Display which holds a screen set called “Lists” with multiple list screens.
Once we select an object in one of the lists, we need to either display details of the it or execute some transactions on that object. Then I had difficulty to find a way to identify the selected object. Since this is a screen set inside a tile display. I first tried to see if I can drill down on the tile display.
As shown above, I cannot go further on the tile display.
Then I tried to see if I can find the object on the “Lists” screen set. There are four screens each of which has “selected object” option. During the application’s execution, the user may switch between lists/tabs. Is there any method we can figure out which tab/screen the user is currently on? With that piece of information, I can identify the screen and then the object accordingly.
My development environment is 6.0.42 and iOS 7.1.
If this is not correct way to accomplish such function, is there any work around available to present a workable multi-lists tile on iPad?

My following question might be a bit off the original topic. Please let me know if you want me to open a new post.
I actually tried the navigation as well as the list selection. The navigation did happen. However, instead of presenting the Lists screen in the original tile display, a new full screen is created after the navigation which covers the original screen on iPad.
This leads to a general question regarding the navigation on screen with tile display. For pocket PC, the navigation is straight forward as a new screen is going to be created to cover the original screen. On tablet, if tile display is used, is it possible to navigate to, i.e., activate the focus on, a particular screen inside a tile display?
Please let me know if I make my question clear.

How to update hidden item after submit of multi tab form

Hi everyone,
I have a multi tab form which is being used to insert records into a table. One of the columns I have included in the form source is 'hidden' and i want this item to be populated with the current date and time for each row, when I press the submit button. I have tried to achieve this by creating a PL/SQL process on the Page with the following details:
Process point: 'On Submit - After Computations and Validations'.
Source: :P5_DATE_ENTERED := :SYSDATE_YYYYMMDD;
However, when I test the Page I get the following error on pressing Submit:
'Error ERR-1002 unable to find ID for item P5_DATE_ENTERED...'
So, I'd be very grateful if anyone can advise me as to how to achieve this basic functionality,

The multi-tabs is not working all the time. Windows7 Firefox 4.0.1 I have the correct opetions set for multi-tabs.

The multi-tabs is not working. I have the correct options set for multi-tabs. But when I open Firefox and try to add a site from Bookmarks it uses the same tab that is opened.

Right click a tab and you will get the option to bookmark all tabs. Or use keyboard '''Alt + B''' which opens the old style menu. You can make changes to Firefox, as explained in this post: [/questions/799856#answer-155765]

SubVI with while loop + event structure not working in multi tab VI

Hello Everyone,
I am developing an interface for the control of a prober using Labview 2012, and I am stuck with some issue.
To start with I provide you with a simplified version of my control interface VI, and with the sub-VI used to build and manage the wafer maps.
The VI consists of several tabs: Prober Initialization, Wafer Handling, Wafer Map, Status, Error.
The sub-VI can:
1/ initialize the grid to display the map (sub VI Init Grid not provided here)
2/ import XY coordinates from a txt file (sub VI Wafer Map Import)
3/ display the coordinates and index of the die below the cursor
4/ and when a die position is double clicked, and the boolean "Edit Wafer Map" is true, then the user can change the state (color) of the die between On-wafer die and Selected Die
My issue:
If I use the sub-VI by itself, it works fine. However when I use it as a sub-VI in the tab "Wafer Map", the map does not build up and I can no further use the embedded functionalities in the sub-VI.
I suspect the while loop + event structure of the sub-VI to be the bottleneck here.
However I don't know which way to go, that's why I'd be glad to have some advice and help here.

I tried to save the VIs in LV10, please tell me if you can open them now.
Inside he event structure there is quite some code, and since I don't want to make the main vi too bulky, I would like to keep it as a sub-VI.
As you can see from the sub-VI, the event structure is used for extracting cursor position and tracking the double click action. These events are linked, through a property node, to the image "Wafer Map" which is passed to the main vi through connector pane.
All values are passed this way as well (through connector pane). Is there another way?
Maybe "refnum", but I don't really understand how to use them...
If I use the event structure in the main vi, the wafer map is still not working. I tried it earlier.
To implement the multi tab front panel, I used a tab control, and a for loop + case structure. For each element of the case structure, there is a corresponding action.
For the case where I put the code (element=2) for Wafer Map, I also control the execution of the code with a case structure activated by the button "REFRESH". Otherwise I end up with a freezing of the panel right after the start.
I hope these comments help you understand better.

With multi tabs open I go to close Firefox 5.0 and it will not keep the tabs there it closes all tabs so when I restart I have to re-open the tabs. I was using 3.6 firefox and had the option to close but keep the tabs so they would open when I re-started firefox.

In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side.

My safari could not open multi tab

i just install my ipad air, on safari application i could not open it with multi tab as usual i had used on i phone and my Ipad 2. when i touch on the "+" the sreen will back to home sreen.
