Sure Response Alert system call center

Does anyone know any info on the call center that handles the Verizon Medical alert system "Sure Response"? Who runs/owns the call center? Where is it located? What is the training extent, etc? I find little information regarding the actual call center that handles the emergency situations.
I'm very interested in getting this system for my father, as he has no home phone lines, lives in an area that Verizon is the strongest signal and it seems a good system (I tried it at the store and am not sure why all the negative reviews.. is easy enough to use). Am slightly concerned that Verizon doesn't promote this more, as I sometimes think that means they aren't serious about the product.
At any rate, I really need to get more info on the group/place that actually takes the calls.. and what type of information they keep on the customers using this product.
anyone have any info?
thanks

My husband used this system for several months before he passed away.  We were very happy with it.  He accidentally pushed the call button a few times.  The personnel who answered where very kind.  Told him no problem, could they help him with anything, did he have any questions, and to "call" them if he had any issues.
They were professional and since we had registered his health information we were confident they could help in an emergency.  He wore it as a wrist watch.
When he passed, I took the unit to Verizon and they promptly ended the contract.  They told me to keep the device, as they no longer carried them.  Apparently they still provide the service, not the device.  They suggested I advertise it on eBay.

    Dear friends,
    I have one customer, they have a phone system in their call center.
    When implemeting CRM 2007, they want to have an automatic connection betwwen their phone system and call center in CRM. This means when having a call from customers the call center system ( CRM 2007) searches automatically or updates the phone number ( this phone number is get automatically from phone system ).
    Does this is possible in CRM 2007? Or if u have any solutions pls let me know.

    Hello,
    I want to configure the alert system for when an error occurs in processing chains.
    I followed the steps in the forum THROUGH ALRTCATDEF transaction, but I can not do the following, which is what I really need;

  • Kudos for a Verizon Call Center rep?

    Just wondering where I can go or who I can talk to in order for a certain call center rep to get some deserved recognition.  I have filled out customer surveys, called different folks within Verizon Wireless and still no result.  I am now beginning to wonder if Verizon really cares about their employees like they say they do.
    Here is the situation:
    I had decided to leave Verizon Wireless after about 10 loyal years with them.  First, when the "new every two" plan was discontinued it was and still is, a very sore spot for me and a lot of other longtime customers.  Then, back in 2011, some "genius" decided we customers needed to pay $2 to pay our bill online.  What a frigging farce.  Hell, verizon, if you want $2 more a month, then raise the rates, be honest with the customer and be done with it.  I hope the stupid s.o.b. that tried to implement this idea is now on the unemployment line.  How frigging stupid can you be?
    I had actually went to the point of purchasing a Straight Talk phone.  I had planned on using this phone for a couple of months to see if it would do what I needed as far as phone and text service.  I had a problem trying to activate the phone.  I was scheduled for a cruise during this time frame and could not finish the activation.  While on the cruise I was ranting and raving about Verizon Wireless.  Sitting at the same table I was at was a lady who finally identified herself as a call center rep.  She was very polite, explained that even though she was on vacation, she still had a responsibility to make any Verizon customer happy and to try to solve the problem, if she could.  Now here we are, out in the middle of the ocean, hundreds of miles away from land, no cell phone service there, and this crazy lady is trying to solve my phone problems.  Talk about dedication!!!!!  End result, she made some suggestions for me to try once I got back home.  I did what she suggested.  Much to my surprise, everything pretty much fell into place.  I added an additional internet line, allowing me to discontinue HughesNet.  I also upgraded my phone to an IPhone, which is a really easy phone for us old folks to use.
    As a result of the time and dedication this person took, not only did Verizon Wireless continue to keep me as a customer, I actually increased the amount of services I get from them.  All because some lady, on vacation, literally in the middle of an ocean, took the time to listen to a crazy old man ranting and raving.
    She truly deserves to be recognized not only by me, but by Verizon Wireless.  She works out of Huntsville, AL.
    Who can I contact to make sure she gets the pat on the back she deserves?

    I am really glad to hear such a positive outcome for a possible bad situation, here is contact information that may help you voice your positive feedback.

  • Correct Forum? CGI and Server behaviour on Solaris at system()-call

    Hi to you all,
    Do not know if i am in the correct forum, but maybe it is a Webserver problem.
    I have Sun ONE Webserver 6.1 running on Solaris.
    Craete some CGI`s in C.
    Now I have a problem with one CGI, which have to call a Shellscript via system() call.
    The Client just calls the CGI with some parameters, which will write the informations in a file with some additional informations from a database, after that, the script should be startet and do some printjobs in the background.
    The CGI and the Shell-script is working fine. My Problem is, that the system() call always waits, until the ShellScript has finished, so the Webserver send the "data successful written" site after a couple of minutes, it should send it immeditatly to the client, so the session is closed.
    I have tried to put the shellscript in background with "&", also with nohup and a second shell script which justs starts the first script, also with all combinations of nohup and "&" for background process.
    also i tried with "pclose(popen(SCRIPT,"W");" to call the script, it is always the same, the session will close only, when the script has been finished.
    In an other Forum I found an entry, that , however, IPlanet webserver always will do this in this way. The session will be closed, when all called processes has benn fisnished.
    Any Ideas to solve my problem?

    The web server reads from the CGI program's stdout. It knows the HTTP response is complete when the CGI program closes its stdout.
    When you call system(), the child process inherits the CGI program's stdout and keeps it open until it finishes. If you want the child process to run asynchronously from the HTTP response, you should give the child process a new stdout with > /dev/null. (You'll still need to place the child process in the background with &.) Alternatively, you can fork(), close(1), then exec().

    Hi Madhav,
    You can customise the ERMS rule modler  by creating the ERMS New policy in the PCUI application (Rule modler)  for the Email routing category for the default service manager profile you can go to the transaction code crmc_pcuitools and select the rule modler under which select the Email routing as category for the service manager profile to be called and can create the new polocy with node and subnodes and you can define the incoming  email address as well .  do mention  your email id so that i can  send the config steps document for the same.

  • How to Integrate Oracle Access Manager 11g with Siebel Call Center 7.8

    I need to change the DB authentication to SSO for Siebel Call Center 7.8. I just found a document about integrationg OAM 10g with Siebel 7 (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28196_01/idmanage.1014/b25347/siebel.htm#Siebel). However, because it's mandatory to use OAM 11g, I don't know whether this doc is suitable for Siebel 7.8. In addition, is it the right way to configure Siebel SSO? I know, in this way, I need to install WebGate. Please give me some expertise. Thanks.

    This should work as long as your web server and operating system support 11g. There may be some differences in how to set up OAM and the WebGate in 11g versus 10g (that is not my area of expertise), but from the Siebel side the integration is the same. You would pass in the user's Siebel ID (pulled from the LDAP directory) as an HTTP header. Then you just need to tweak a few of the parameters in Siebel:
    For the Security Adapter Profile (LDAPSecAdpt most likely) you are using, set:
    SingleSignOn = True
    TrustToken = HELLO (or whatever value you choose)
    In eapps.cfg or eapps_sia.cfg in the virtual directory section for the specific application object manager (e.g. [sales_enu]) set:
    UserSpec = SIEBEL_USER (or whatever HTTP header name you set up in OAM)
    UserSpecSource = HEADER
    SingleSignOn = TRUE
    TrustToken = HELLO (or whatever value you selected for the Security Adapter profile TrustToken parameter)
    ProtectedVirtualDirectory = /sales_enu
    The protected virtual directory will normally be the same as the virtual directory (in this example /sales_enu) unless you are using customer facing applications with anonymous browsing capabilities (for example a catalog that goes to a shopping cart at some point in the process).
    Also in the [SWE] section of the eapps.cfg file the IntegratedDomainAuth parameter should be set to False.
    Hope this information is helpful.
    Best regards,
    Stevan

  • Need guidance on using ddi_regs_map_setup solaris system call

    Hi all,
    Am a beginner in using Sun Solaris.
    I am working on porting our source code from linux to solaris.
    In Linux we are using inb/outb to read/write to keyboard data port(0x60) .
    I know that there is an equivalent system call for inb/outb in solaris. But in man page(of sun os) it is mentioned that inb/ outb are obsolete. It was mentioned that we can use ddi_get8/ddi_put8 functions respectively.
    ddi_get8 call requires ddi_acc_handle_t as a parameter which we can get it from ddi_regs_map_setup system call.
    Syntax for this call is:
    int ddi_regs_map_setup(dev_info_t *dip, uint_t rnumber,
    caddr_t *addrp, offset_t offset, offset_t len,
    ddi_device_acc_attr_t accattrp, ddi_acc_handle_t handlep);
    Please let me know where does the 0x60 port number fits in the above system call and what does these parameters rnumber, offset, len corresponds to ?

    Hi,
    The Fault_PC 0x13575e8 tells you exactly where you
    die. I assume you have used this in mdb on
    the core file to find you are dying in the ddi_get8 call?
    Are you checking return value of ddi_regs_map_setup?
    Are you sure the register you are accessing is in register set 1?
    Are there other places prior to the panic where
    the ddi_get/ddi_put routines work correctly? A bus error
    here generally means the location you are trying to access
    does not exist on the device. (It could also be alignment,
    but not with ddi_get8). The address
    looks like 1fe.02001400, which looks like a possibly
    valid address in I/O space.
    I would print the value of wc->ioaddr to make sure
    it is a valid virtual address.
    Hi,
    I'm in the middle of porting a device driver for a
    PCI card from linux to solaris (it's wcfxo from
    zaptel - part of asterisk).

    static struct ddi_device_acc_attr dev_attr = {
    DDI_DEVICE_ATTR_V0,
    DDI_STRUCTURE_LE_ACC,
    DDI_STRICTORDER_ACC
    ddi_regs_map_setup(wc->dip, 1, &wc->ioaddr, 0, 255,
    &dev_attr,
    &dev_attr, &wc->devhandle);I've tested the same card in a linux x86 box, and it
    works fine, so I'm happy it's not a hardware
    problem.
    Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

  • Oracle SOA Integration with Siebel 8.0 Call Center Application

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to Integrate Oracle Fusion SOA and Siebel 8.0 and I have been following http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e17056/bpel_pm.htm as a reference.
    Here is what I have done so far:
    Created an Inbound Web service (Account Web Service) by login into Siebel Call Center Application. I was able to generate the WSDL file successfully. This WSDL has following operations :
    (a) AccountInsert
    (b) AccountQueryByExample
    (c) AccountQueryById
    If I understand it correctly, this is like any other wsdl file which can be consumed and operations can be invokved by consumers (web service clients)
    I have couple of doubts/questions :
    (1) Once WSDL is generated by the Siebel Client, it can be used in my BPEL process/composite apps to perform the integration. If this statement is true, why and where do we need Siebel Adapter?
    (2) While I was following the online tutorial @ http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e17056/bpel_pm.htm , I can see, WSDL was generated by using the Application Explorer (a swing based tool provided by Oracle as a part of Adapter framework). But I have used Siebel Call Center to generate the WSDL file. Which is the standard way of generating the WSDL file?
    (3) In the tutorial mentioned above, I can see request and response xsd files (i.e queryWithView_invoke_request.xsd queryWithView_invoke_response.xsd) . No where in the tutorial has mentioned, how these files were created. Are these hand written files by the developer, or it is something that can be created out of the wsdl itself?
    (4) Also, there is a .jca file (queryWithView_invoke.jca) which is also being used while configuring the Third Party Adapter. Where does queryWithView_invoke.jca come from? Is it something that is created from Application Explorer?
    Would really appreciate if someone can throw lights on these gray areas....
    Waiting for an eagerly reply...
    Thanks in Advance !
    Jameel

    Hi,
    If you are talking about configuring the outbound WS , then you need to go to Siebel > Administration-Webservices> Outbound Webservices
    Query for webservices there and give the <HOST>:<SOA PORT> in the URL.

  • Quotes in parameters to a system call

    Hello,
    From my program, which is a servlet, I'm making a system call using -
    (Runtime.getRuntime()).exec(cmd).waitFor();
    where cmd is a previously defined String giving the call to execute. The problem here is seen when the parameters to cmd (which happens to be a perl script in this case) include one or more where the values are strings which include spaces, and hence are in double quotes. For example, if I want to execute -
    /usr/local/bin/myScript.pl -t "Some text"
    When executed from a prompt this works fine and -t has the value -
    Some text
    However when called from my Java program as above, the script instead thinks that -t has the value -
    "Some
    I'm not sure how this is coming about, but it seems to be a feature of the way Java executes the command. Has anybody seen this before? How do I stop it happening? I have tried every combination of quotes of which I can think, but nothing seems to do what I want, and the command string when printed to screen, for example, looks exactly as it should.
    Thanks,
    Joe Partridge

    Or sat all separate parts in String[] like this:
    String[] cmds={"/usr/local/bin/myScript.pl","-t","Some text"}
    and call:
    (Runtime.getRuntime()).exec(cmds).waitFor();
    That also works and you don't have to remember to put quotes all the time

  • Call Center Functions

    I am in the process of determining if VOIP is more accessible and flexible compared to an existing, traditional PBX system. I cannot find whether VOIP provides the call center functions like a PBX system (i.e. call duration reports, number & times for an extension report, etc.) Also, I did not find any information in regards to calling pools, fall overs on extensions, etc. and if that is handled at the extension (phone) or in the call switching module. Any help or direction to more specific details would be appreciated.

    The call center funtionallity is an addition to the IP PBX (CallManager is Cisco's IP PBX), and requires another application layer in your environmnet.
    Cisco has 2 contact center applications, IPCC Express (up to 300 agents) and IPCC Enterprise for enterprise level customers, from architetural perspective these are completely different products, and off course prise is different.
    Take a look a tht following linke for more information:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/icm/index.htm
    Most legacy PBX features are available on CallManager, you'll need to be more specific on "calling pools, fall overs on extensions".
    take a look at CallManager documentation for more details:

  • System call fom Java code

    Hi all
    I hope someone over here might answer my problem.
    I need to run a Shell script form my Java code, which does perform some operations like writing/copying files to a specific directory and my Java code then starts reading the files and do necessary stuff like parsing it for some info inside the file.
    If I make a system call from my Java code, how do I know when the shell script is done executing completely? Just to make sure that my Java code execution starts only after the shell script has executed.
    If anyone has come across such a scenario, please reply to this topic. A sample code wud be a bonus for me :)
    Thanks

  • Work Process tries to restart but fails - Operating system call fork:restar

    Hi
      We have a ECC 5.0 system running on v5r4 (6.40 kernel level 159).  Some of the work processes fail and then try to restart and fail again. Thus there are many job log entries in both SAP and OS/400.
    The OS/400 logs mention the PASE (unix executable environment) and MCH3203.
    SAP mentions Operating system call fork:restart
    OSS has note #884359 which mentions a palitative but despite being at 6.40 level 159 the parameter profile as/4/wp_max_restart is said to be "unknown" by RZ10.
    We are making sure we are up to date with the APAR II14126 just in case this is the issue.
    It did start after the time change but we are not sure this is the root cause.
    We are also considering getting upto kernel 171.
    Anyone else seen this issue?
    thanks
    Matthew Milne

    We see those problems once a while, and usually they are gone when you restart the instance or after an IPL. You should report the problem to IBM, they will probably be interested in the LIC log entries that come along with the error (STRSST - Start a Service Tool - Licensed Internal Code Log). II14126 is probably a good start (for example, MF40759).
    The profile parameter as4/wp_max_restart is only known to the kernel, because it is not intended as a permament setting, but only as a temporary workaround for the problem in the PASE environment. That's why RZ11 does not know about the parameter and reports it as unknown.
    Kind regards,
    Christian Bartels.
