Surface Pro 3 restarting after a series of blank screens!
Hi,
I installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview (Build 9926) on my Surface Pro 3. I was not a part of the Windows Insider Program before that. After installation, my Surface has not worked for more than five minutes after which it restarts. During the five
minutes the display keeps refreshing (becomes blank for like two seconds), the fan rotates at very high speeds and I am unable to do any work on it.
My Surface has an i7 configuration.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Can't PXE boot a Surface Pro 3 after already successfully imaging it
hey guys. To try to eliminate a lot of the initial question that come up with this issue, I figure I will start with established info. Our SCCM environment is healthy, and all images, drivers and apps are distributed to all of our DP's. We can image
PC's and laptops with no issue at all. We use network PXE booting. Using a 64 bit boot image. Needed drivers are injected into the boot image. Firmware on the Surface was updated. Using the Surface NIC dongle. THis dongle was only used to image
this Surface Pro 3 tablet one time. There is no record of the MAC of the dongle in SCCM since I deleted the Surface out, to make it an unknown again.
So, with a lot of trial and error, I was finally able to get this tab to PXE boot, and then successfully image. Was testing out the new windows 8.1 image I had built.
Since it ewas successful I wanted to add all of our apps to the TS and test them out in imaging. Well, I can no longer get this thing to PXE boot. It shows trying to Start PXE over IPv4, then just skips to IPv6, then boots up into windows.
I have delted the secure keys form ther BIOS, then reloaded them. I have tried hte full shut down method (Holding Volume Up and Power for 15 seconds, then waiting for 10 seconds or longer, then trying to PXE boot. I am getting a valid connection fro
mthe dongle.
Nothinhg I try works. Its tries to PXE boot over IPv4, but never gets there. But I can PXE boot any of our PC's or Laptops,m so its just an issue with this damn Surface Pro 3.
ANy advice? So I finally got our server guy to enable the logging and get that smspxe.log file to be accessible. So here is the info from the log, when I attempt to PXE boot the Surface. I see the last 2 lines where it ignores the request, I just don't know why its
ignoring it.

MacBook Pro suddenly will not boot up. Blank screen with message File is possibly corrupt. Header checksum does not match, etc
Hi s.cheslik,
It seems your MacBook Pro will not boot properly and it displaying an error message. Based on the information you have provided, it appears your MacBook Pro needs to be serviced. The following link should help you get started with the process and has links with additional information on topics such as warranty and service pricing, battery replacement, and express replacement service.

Restart my hp with a blank screen
hi i would like to reset my laptop but i cant because i have a blank screen and also i have a password on the home screen so as soon as i put my password in it goes to the blank screen. I have no idea what to do. can someone please help
Hello Joelisha1,
It would be helpful if you state what your computer model number is and what Operating System is on it.
The blank screen thing is very odd. Do you mean it just goes black or you get a blue screen after you log in?
You should be able to access the HP Recovery Manager from boot by tapping (repeatedly) on the F11 key on start up. Then run the recovery process to revert the computer back to the way it was from factory.
This is assuming you have not created your Recovery Discs yet.
NOTE: This will wipe out all existing data on the C: drive so hopefully you have your files backed up if needed.
Here is the HP article giving more detailed instructions.

My MACBOOK pro comes on but had a blank screen and the circle keeps spinning- not connecting
My MacBook Pro comes on but nothing displays , just a blank screen with the apple logo and a spinning wheel? How do I get the screen display back?
Start with this trouble shooting guide:

It would be helpful if you provided the EXACT model MBP you have and the OSX.

I need help because I went to get iOS 6. Then when it got done and went to reboot my iPod, it goes to the Apple logo and then it goes to a blank screen. What do I do??
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
My MacBook Pro restarts after it's been idle for an hour
I'm new to daily Mac use, but I think I have my settings correct. My laptop is kept plugged in at work - never runs on battery. In my Energy Saver system prefs, I have Computer Sleep and Display Sleep set to Never on both Power Adapter and Battery, all options (hard disk sleep, wake for network access, reduce brightness, start up after power failure) are unchecked. There is nothing set up in the Schedule area to turn on or off at specific times.
Every time the computer is idle for more than an hour (when I'm at lunch or in a meeting), when I come back the computer has restarted itself. Not gone to sleep, or shut down, but completely restarted.
Is there some other setting I'm missing that's making this happen? Although I try to remember to save all my work before I leave just in case, every so often I forget, and I'm getting sick of losing work (or even just losing system state and having to restart all my programs, reopen all my files, etc.)
Someone on the apple.stackexchange forum suggested checking my console log, but when I posted the results I didn't get any comments except that maybe it had overheated. But it never restarts randomly, which I would think would happen if it had overheated. It's always tied to the idle time.
Here's the console log for the most recent event; can anyone tell me what's going on?

Does your Mac go through the complete Restart cycle -- black screen, gray and/or blue screen momentarily, startup chime, etc?
If you're not sure, do a Restart just to watch the process; the next time the problem occurs, see if it's the same.
You need to know which it is, as these will have very different causes, and different places to look for a solution. -
Macbook Pro restart after waking from sleep
Hi all,
Since I've installed Mountain Lion (10.8.2) on my 13" Late 2011 Macbook Pro I've been experiencing a quite annoying problem. The computer, which is connected to an external monitor through Thunderbolt to HDMI will restart (Sometimes to a gray screen with a progress bar) after waking from sleep. I've done some research and it would appear as though the problem is related to the display driver.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this peculiar problem or if there's a quick solution.
Thanks!Maybe this will help. If you monitor the "More Like This" box, other solved threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads.

Mac pro restart after shut down
hey i have mac pro 4.1. i have 10.9.1. and always that i press the "shut down" the mac just doing restart. i tried log out and press shut down but still restart. need fix..
thanksI kept having this problem until I noticed my Apple trackpad was running low on battery power. Since replacing the batteries I have not a single random restart. (Of course, when I shut down later it could reappear just to make a liar of me!)
So...could it be a Bluetooth issue - polling with low battery power or some such? -
MacBook Pro restarting after unplugging a wired Xbox 360 Controller
Everytime I unplug or connect the wired controller to a virtual machine, my mid 2012 Macbook Pro crashes and restarts. I have no idea what could be causing this. Has anybody experienced this before?
I've found a solution to this problem, (although rather unfavorable) I simply removed all traces of 360 controller plugin that I downloaded from http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver. I can no longer play games with it, but unplugging the controller no longer crashers my computer. If anyone has a solution to this issue, please reply to this post.

I have a 'panic Kernel' error screen appear after my MacBook Pro restarted after installing updates
Hi,
I have just finished installing new updates, and in order to complete, I had to restart my laptop, as I did so, an error screen came up with all types of jargon on it, mainly, 'panic' and 'kernel', I can not do anything with my mac now, any ideas on how to resolve? If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot.
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all.
Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is on a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Select the most recent panic log under the heading System Diagnostic Reports on the left. If you don't see that heading, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Post the entire contents of the panic report — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post shutdownStall, spin, or hang reports. -
Having issues with 13" MacBook Pro. Running very slow and blank screen and sleep mode.
Bought my MBPro summer 2009. About a month / 6 weeks ago it began to run extremely slow at points. Now it is running poorly and getting very slow on a daily basis, to the point where it will not open applications, documents or even web pages for in excess of 5 minutes. I'm beginning to lose patience!
Also at the exact same time of these performance issues occuring, my MacBook Pro will not awaken from sleep mode when the lid is closed. Showing a blank dark screen and having to hard reset in order to boot up my system again and get it running.
What is the best solution in order to resolve these issues?
Your help is greatly appreciated.Did you run Disk Utility>First Aid? If so what were the results? This is a copy of mine, note that the bottom line says: The partition map appears to be OK:

Mac mini shut down on its own. Could not restart, chime, grey screen and spinning wheel. Unplugged everything but monitor, still only chime, grey screen and spinning wheel. Started in safe boot, shut Down, will not restart.
This happened a couple of months ago, unplugged everything and it restarted, now that won't work.Hi BDAqua,
I just did the repair as you suggested. T ran the disc repair, and twice it cam back, the volume macintosh seems ti be okay, I also ran the verify and permissions repair, both came back okay.
I was actually hoping that they would find something, so they could repair. I shut the computer down, and restated with out holding a key, and I started up great. I'm baffled. I have moved 20 GB to an external hard drive, as I only had 10% open space.
I have Tech Tool 6, would you recommend to run a repair check on that, or just leave well enough alone.
I agree with you on the new Mac's, I have problems with no disc for back up, until they realize their mistake I will stay with Snow a Leopard. This is the first problem I have experienced, so I can't complain. Their last programs are not as perfected as under Steve, prior to his handling over the reins, hope this is not going to be the future we can expect from Apple.
I will wait to here back as to your suggestion regarding the Tech Tool check
Thanks for all your help.
Gratefully,
Cheri

Office 2003 Can't Save Files (after a while) under Windows XP ! [FAT32]
I've made a 30G Fat32 partition using Boot Camp and put XP2 on it, runs flawlessly. However, getting tired with the rosetta office under OS X, I switched to Windows last night for some heavy Word jobs (openning 4-5 20mb documents at same time). The s
