Survey : How much music do you have on your 160 iPod Classic ?

I am still having problems, filling up my 160 GB iPod Classic. So I am interested, if there is anybody who has been able to utilize the full 148 GB.
My Status :
127,000 Songs (104 GB) Runs fine
127,500 Songs (105 GB) iPod no longer plays songs (shows a big amount of 'other' space used in Settings/About - can not find songs, artists albums etc.), even after iPod restart.

Well, this could be a *very* difficult thread for me to answer, seems as my music taste can be quite varied. Well, most of the music I have can be put in the realms of "metal", but then there are soundtracks and other groups I have in the collection that don't quite correlate.
My mood doesn't generally wholly affect what I'm listening to, although it can affect my mood *when* I listen to things. I know what... I'll put some of my favourite songs down... and you can all deem for yourselves what my music taste is like.

  • Poll: How much music do you ha

So the thread "Computer Illiterate and looking to buy mini Zen" inspired me to a new forum topic, and a quick search showed nothing, so I'm wondering:
How much music (gb or number-wise) do you have?
While I don't have access to my music at home right now, I think I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 2gb worth (not sure exactly how many songs that is.) I know I can only fit like 000 of em on my Zen Micro, so I've got to be kindof picky when it comes to deciding which songs stay home and which come with me.

IS this all ripped music, or do you just have a fiber line to the nearest internet factory?
    lol...
/SSR is unhuman: both in his music prowess and his number of posts.

  • Is there any way to find out how much battery life you have on you're Bluetooth Magic Mouse and Apple Keyboard on your Windows Partion?

I'm a avid gamer and for my gaming needs most of the games that I love require Windows ,but due to my constant clicking I drain my mouse battery very fast so I always have backups. Is there anyway I can check how much mouse battery I have left so I can be sure before I start a gaming session that I'll be fine? Switching back and forth between partions is an option ,but I find it as more of a last resort then something to do normally.
    Thanks in advance!

call them, tell them you NEED a new battery installed, and they need to tell you when they can do it.  That is their job to help you! Give pushback if necessary.

  • How many devices can you have to your itunes library

How many devices ( Iphone,Ipod, etc) can you have to your itunes account?

I have multiple device on my wireles network and it seems i have hit a limit. If I put a 9th device on the network, one of the other devices seem to get kicked off or cannot establilsh connection.
Is there a limit to the number of devices using a timecapsule?

If I put a 9th device on the network, one of the other devices seem to get kicked off or cannot establilsh connection.
The 50 limit Bob refers to is the theory .. the practice is 10.. but it still should not boot a device off.
Reset the TC and use SMB compatible names.. different for 5ghz. Short.. no spaces. pure alphanumeric.
Use wpa2 personal with 8-12 character passkey .. again pure alphanumeric.
Move as much as you can to use 5ghz.. that reduces the load on the 2.4ghz side.
If you still have issues, lock the wireless channels, for 2.4ghz there are only 3 non-overlapping, 1, 6, 11.. try each in turn.
Come back and tell us if you still get the same effect.. also is it one particular device that knocks others off.. or any new device.
You should check you have enough IP addresses with the dhcp pool and reduce the lease time to 20min.

  • How much music should you transfer in one session on zen xt

I tried to transfer 9gs of wma files to my zen xtra in one long continuous session.By track 7 mediasource was telling me it cant create file over and over for each song. I finally gave up. I have 52 of memory on my 2.4 gateway computer. Is it possible my memory cant take over 5000 songs transferring in one session?Im going to try transferring one track amount at a time which is about 350 songs and then i will disconnect and try for track 2 in a few hours.Does this sound like the way to go? thanks Matt

A few days ago, I transferred 4.5 GB of MP3s to my Zen Xtra 40 GB overnight. The only problems I encountered were when I has two tracks with the same artist, album and name.
I read in the instructions that you're not supposed to leave the player connected to the PC for long periods, as it builds up some heat while the HD spins constantly. My solution for times when I do this is to stand the player up in front of an air conditioner or fan, back facing the airflow. The Xtra's shell is a heatsink for the dri've, so if you can keep the shell cool, the dri've stays cool.

  • How much music can you fit into iTunes...

    Hi
I've got an external hard drive with 1TB of music, in theory, could I import all of this to iTunes, then use an AirPort Express and stream it to my stero still?
So... Would iTunes be able to cope with 1TB of music in its library?

    There's a claim for a 1.8 Tb library here.

  • How much brillance do you use on your T500 pls ?

    Gents --
do you use 100% brilliance while AC-powered with your T500 or less than 100% ??
I am asking because I feel even at 100% brilliance the display is poor and dark and nothing to compare with my 6 yrs old banyas centrino notebook ..... and I caught myself using it instead of my new T500 2082-8WG which is hilarious ..... or  is simply something wrong with my eyes ....?
    Thanks

I also have a 2082-8WG. It is about a month old. When AC-powered I use 100% brightness, but 90% is also comforatble to use. This is indoors, sometimes with relatively bright ambient light. I haven't tried, but I guess outdoors it would not be bright enough. The LCD panel in my T500 seems to have been made by IBM (is it possible?). In spite of some criticisms that I have seen in the blogs I find the screen good for photo-editing in Lightroom, even though I have an Eizo 22" monitor on my desktop PC for comparison.

  • How many accounts should you have on your system?

It might sound stupid but I have had my iBook for like 5 years and have always only had one account. This is an admin account that I called my name (not admin) with a completly different short name. I have searched these discussions and have not yet found the answer to my question. Since I am awaiting my new MacBook which is currently on the west coast (thanks FedEx tracking), I want to be completely prepared when it arrives. Having said that, is there a problem with having only one account on my iBook now that will effect the migration of my info to the new MacBook? And if so, what should I do about it? Thankx in advance for your help
iBook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Waiting for my new MacBook

Can you explain this to me:
I do turn on the OS X
built-in firewall to protect against unwanted
    intrusion from the Internet.
I am also awaiting a LaCie external HD so when I get that I was going to use Carbon Copy Cloner to "back up" everything to the LaCie before the migration. Or is what you talk about below a better idea? I do back up, some stuff to iDisk and some stuff to CDs and really important stuff to both. I hate to say it but I don't have a complete backup of EVERYTHING. That was one reason I am getting the LaCie.
If you do not do so, now would be a good time to have
a backup/retreat strategy. I make bootable clones of
my iMacs on an external firewire drive using a little
program called SuperDuper ($28 US at
    www.shirt-pocket.com). I always make a clone prior
to any software change. In that way, I have an
almost foolproof way to retreat if something goes
wrong with my software or hardware.
    Thankx again

  • How do I find how much me more I have available on my mac?

How do I find how much me more I have available on my mac?

if you mean "Memory", as in RAM, you can 1. look at "About this Mac" which is under the apple menu at the top left of your screen, and it will tell you how much total ram you have.
    2. If you mean hard drive space, if you select your startup drive in the finder, and do "Get Info" (control-click), it will tell you how big the hard drive is, and how much free space is on it.
    3. Or go to applications>utilities>activity monitor and check out the system memory and disc usage buttons on the bottom.

  • How much time do you get on video on I pad

How much time do you get on video on the IPad 2?

Can't really answer that.  It depends on how much storage space you have. A 16Gb iPad will obviously have less space to store a video than a 64GB iPad.
The only limitation is your storage space.
At about 100KB per second you are looking at many many hours even on a 16GB iPad.

  • How many albums do you have?

How many albums do you have? How much variation do you have between albums?
I have so many pictures I'm having a hard time deciding on how to setup albums.

    John,
I don't have a lot of albums. There's no one-to-one correspondence between photos and albums, so I choose not to use them as my main organizational scheme. I prefer working in Library view, where I do get each photo once and only once. (I use V6 Film Rolls, which is the same as Events in '08.) When importing photos, I place them in my most recent, current roll (event) or begin a new one. Then I keyword all of the new photos, and they're good to go. Working chronologically makes sense to me, and I pretty much remember where my photos are. In addition, I can find any photo or group of photos in my library by filtering by keywords and date.
I use albums for special collections and projects. I have some smart albums for the best photos of my kids' birthdays. I gather photos into albums to prepare for printing. I also create albums for the purpose of adding slideshows to my home movies in iDVD, and to use as title frames in iMovie.
That's just my system; it works for me. iPhoto is so flexible and powerful that in time you'll find one that works for you.
    Regards.
