SUSA for IDSM-2

Hi,
When i buy 'CON-SUSA-WIDSBNK9 ' , what does it cover ?
Does it cover the IDSM-2 licensing and the signature updates ?
Regards,
BASIT J

"CON-SUSA" contract will allow you to update the signature to the latest signature pack.
Here is more information on IDS/PS services for your reference:

Hope that helps.

  • SUS for classic scenario

    Hello All,
Is it not possible to set-up a SUS for classic scenario? if so, can some one tell me why?
We have a ECC- EBP classic scenario for direct procurement and plan to leverage the same EBP to set up a SUS . SUS will be on a different client and we would like to use EBP-SUS for indirect procurement.
Please advice.  will award points for sensible  answers
    S

in the case of classic scenario --> following restrictions apply
    1) since there is no local document created in SRM , it is not possible to send the purchase order  document from SRM to SUS
    2) document has to be send from R/3 , and it is possible there to order materials and not services....
    3) services is not supported from R/3 to SUS.
    hope this helps...

  • SRM-SUS for Service Entry Sheets - Classic Scenario

    Hi SRM Gurus,
Our client wants to use SRM-SUS for the Service Entry Sheets (to being with and then later expand more in other SRM areas). The lead system will be R/3 system.
We will be going with ECC 6.0 and SRM 5.0.
Service Order will be created in R/3 and replicated into SRM (SAP have said this is new functionality in SRM 2007 and SAP will provide us with this functionality in SRM 5.0 as well)
SAP are also recommending using MDM for hosting the catalogs for service entry sheets to enable vendors to selete their items during the confirmation / filling the service entry sheets. - they say this is mandatory
SAP are also asking for XI for the data to be transferred from R/3 to SRM (and may be vice versa) - they say this is mandatory.
    Few questions:
    1) What kind of hardware size are we talking about to have SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal (PI)
    2) Are MDM and XI mandatory as said by SAP and if yes, in what scenarios. What is they way around
    3) How good is the functionality provided by SRM-SUS for Services? Is it as good as in R/3 (or even better)? We will be having complex Services in our scnearios.
    4) What can be a typical time to install SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal in the Dev environment to get moving onto the project?
An early response shall be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Rahul

    few answers to your questions
    1) what is the release of SRM  you want to work with?
    2) services in SUS is not available as standard , and will be provided by SAP as consulting up on request.
    3) for hardware requirements , please refer to the master guide for the srm release you will be working on -->
and also you can refer to the software component matrix in master guide --> to see if any component is mandatory..
    4) XI and MDM as far as i know is mandatory for SRM 6.0 and above , But in SRM 5.0 , XI is compulsory.
    5) so xi is mandatory in anyway in SUS as different systems are involved and therefore is required for routing the documents correctly.
    6) time for installation again depends on your supplier base , and your level of expertise.
    7) it is not always recommended to compare between two different systems , R/3 and SUS are different and so functionality will not be the same
    8) but as far as i know R/3 is stronger functioanlly..

  • SPAN Configuration for IDSM

    Dears,
We have IDSM / FWSM running in our 6500 Switch, the FWSM is in transparent mode and for IDSM we configured one SPAN Port.
Right now we have one requirement for SPAN configuration. currently the 6500 with the current SUP has limitation for only 2 SPAN Sessions,
And we are using both, one is for FWSM and the second one for IDSM.
Any one can help and suggest for another option?
    Thanks.

When running a FWSM in a 6500, you don't need to use a SPAN session to send traffic to the FWSM.  To send traffic through the FWSM, use the "firewall" set of commands in the 6500 switch configuration.
I recommend reading the section "Assigning VLANs to the Firewall Services Module" from the FWSM 4.1 Configuration Guide:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/docs/security/fwsm/fwsm41/configuration/guide/switch_f.html#wp1175820
There's also an example of these commands in the "FWSM Basic Configuration Example" here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/modules/ps2706/products_configuration_example09186a00808b4d9f.shtml#sw
A similar command exists for the IDSM ("intrusion-detection module"), for use in certain configurations.  You can read more here, in the "Configuring IDSM-2" section of the IPS 6.1 Configuration Guide for CLI:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/6.1/configuration/guide/cli/cli_idsm2.html#wp1030828
If nothing else, using these commands could free up the 2 available SPAN sessions for other use (such as a NAM module).

  • EDI Standard used in SRM-SUS for Purchaser - Vendor Document Exchange?

    Hi Forum,
For exchange of electronic documents like ASN, PO, PO Response, Confirmations etc. between buyer and seller, which EDI standard is used in SRM-SUS?
Say there are two different vendors one from North America using ANSI X 12 as EDI Standard and other from Europe using EDIFACT, how is the document exchange handled for these two different seller / edi standard in same SUS system?
    Thanks,
    Anubhav

    Hi,
I am not sure what standard SAP uses, but it is not really relevant. At least not for the SUS scenarios. The IDOCs from ECC will be sent to the PI system which will convert them to XML format and send it to the SUS system. Since both PI and ECC system are from SAP, they will speak the same EDI standard for sure.
For SUS we have two scenarios, SRM-SUS and MM-SUS. In SRM-SUS the PO is created in an SRM system locally and sent to SUS. All communication will take place between these two system via XML messages on both sides (of course a PI system is mandatory in this case as well).
In the MM-SUS scenario the PO will be created in ECC and transferred to SUS. Depending on ECC release there are two different possibilities for this, either the ECC system sends EDI IDOCs or it sends XML messages directly. IDOCs will be mapped to XML by PI in all cases, as the SUS system will always receive and send XML messages only.

    Hi,
When trying to send a Scheduled agreement from R/3 4.7 to SUS using the

  • MM-SUS for the extended classic scenario

    Hi,
I have done SUS-MM for the classic scenario.
Did anyone implement SUS-MM  for the extended classic scenario ?
Did you face any problem or will it be same as 'classic' scenario ?
    Please help
    Thanks
    Pranav

There shouldn't be any problem especially when the scenarios are concerned. Since the PO's moves from MM-SUS.
    Regards, IA

  • SRM MM-SUS for Direct Material ( i.e. Ext Classic Scenario)

    Hi Friends,
We are planning to have the Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0  with  SUS. So it will be SUS-MM scenarion and it supports only for Classic Scenario,
But when there is a case of Direct Materials [ Manual or through PDP ( Ext Req) ], it is SAP by defaullt setting that , system determine Extended Classic Scenario.
Now , if SUS-MM supports only to Classic scenario ,then we can collaborate the Orders of Direct Material genereted through Ext Classic Scenario in SUS ?
Confused over these contrast . Can any one suggest that how to get both one in SUS-MM  ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for reply.
It seems here is some confusion. PDP of Dircet Material is standard SRM secarion where we can soure the requieremnets generted in various SAP Module like PS, PM , SD, APO..etc. So We just hav eintenstion to source the requiermnet in Sourcing cockpit to create the PO .
Okay. For time being , forget the PDP of Direct Material.
Just take the Direct  Material ( For which we mention inventory or we procure for stock) only.
By SAP standard / defualt setting  , for Direct  Material , local PO is generted ,althoug we have mentioned Classic Senrion setting for the same . And it is Extended Classic Scenarion. Right!
At another side , it is SAP standrad that SUS-MM senarion support for only CLASSIC SCENARIO.
Then , my conern is  how we can send these Local orders for dircet Material to Supplier via SUS ? Wether it is not possible ?

  • Installing signature update for IDSM-2 on AIP-SSM

Hi every one,im not sure about this question but i think its beter to ask you experts.i want to know that if i have signature update for example for my IDSM-2 can i instal this sig update on my AIP-SSM --> suppose that IPS software on both devices are same and also i have installed valid license key on AIP-SSM.now can i do this or no? and i know that if you have not valid license installed on IDSM-2 you cant instal any sig update on IDSM-2 but what about AIP-SSM?i mean can i instal sig update on AIP-SSM without installed valid license key on AIP-SSM? thanks

There are 3 main types of Signature Updates.
    1) IPS Sensor Signature Updates
    2) CSM Signature Updates for IPS Sensors
    3) IOS IPS Signature Updates
The IPS Signature Update filename is in the form: IPS-sig-Sxxx-req-Ey.pkg
This is most likely what you are referrnig to in your post. This file can be installed on ANY IDS/IPS Appliance or Module.
The Requirement here is not the platform but rather the Engine Level. The "req-Ey" portion of the filename tells you that the sensor must already be running the "y" Engine level of software.
So an IPS-sig-S436-req-E3.pkg file can be installed on any IDS/IPS Appliance or Module so long as the software on that sensor is an "E3" version.
The CSM updates, are signature updates for the Cisco Security Manager. They contain special files that CSM uses to update itself, and then also included within the CSM update is the actual sensor update described above. CSM unpackages the CSM update, updates itself, and then uses that embedded file to upgrade the actual sensor.
The third type of file is for IOS Routers loaded with special IOS software that has the special IOS IPS features where the Router itself (instead of a separate IDS/IPS module) does the signature monitoring.
These IOS IPS Signature Updates get installed on the actual router, and are not installed on the IDS/IPS Sensor Appliances or Modules.
So in answer to your question, yes the same Signature Update for your IDSM-2 is the exact same Signature Update for your SSM modules.
The exact same file is available through multiple different paths on cisco.com. But it doesn't matter through which cisco.com path you downloaded the file you can still install it on all IDS/IPS Appliances and Modules.
As for licensing, the license works the same on all IDS/IPS Appliances and Modules. A license must be on the sensor for the Signature Update to be applied.
NOTE: A Trial License is available from cisco.com for new sensors to allow you time to get everything setup correctly for your sensor to be covered by a service contract, and get the standard license from the service contract.

  • Documents needed for IDSM-2

The second-generation Cisco IDSM-2 protects switched environments by integrating full-featured IPS functions directly into the network infrastructure through the widely deployed Cisco Catalyst chassis. This integration allows the user to monitor traffic directly off the switch backplane—a logical platform for additional services such as firewall, and IPS.
And we are going to deploy this module soon 0n Cat 6509 is any one have a documentaion on how to configure this module.
Thanks and I will really appreciate.

  • Supress e-mail sent through SUS for PO creation

We want to suppress e-mails going out to suppliers whenever a PO is created in the system. I have disabled the e-mail notification in SPRO->Supplier Self Services-> master data-> Settings for BP. However it seems the e-mails are still sent out. any help is greatly appreciated.
    Jay

    Hi Jai,
I suppose I have a similar requirement. In my case invoices are e-mailed to customers whenever they are created. But instead of sending multiple e-mails with one invoice each as an attachment, customer wants one e-mail with multiple attachments of invoices generated in a day.
I think on lines of suppressing e-mail that generates for every invoice and generating one e-mail at a particular time in a day which has to pick up all invoices created for a customer in a day.
How to achieve this? I look forward to your help in this regard.
Thanks for your time and effort spent for me in advance.

  • MM-SUS scenario mapping of the Goodsreceipt for inbound delivery @SUS

    Hi SRM gurus,
We are working on the MM-SUS scenario with SRM5.0 and ECC6.0 as the backend.
We are creating a goods receipt in the backend with respect to the inbounddelivery created from the ASN made at the SUS end.
But this goods receipt is not updated as the goods receipt in the SUS for that vendor.
Can anybody tell me how it is configured for the backend?
I could see a business object BUS2233 for the SUS confirmation transaction type as SUCF with the int.number range as 01 and the ext. number range as 02.
I am not sure where it is configured in MM. I could find one MM--> IM --> Define Number Assignment for Goods Receipt/Issue slips  --> Number range grpg.code where there is an NO. rng.grpg.code and the Intern.number range as 01.
Is this the place we have the external number range as 01 which is maintained as internal in SUS BUS2233.
    Any help in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar.

    Hi All,
The report is running fine and could be able to generate the Idoc and sending it to the XI systems also. But our XI system is not able to post the same to the SUS system and is giving the following error :
The reference to a source object via the object number is different than the reference via the GUID Programm: SAPLBBP_BD_API; Include: LBBP_BD_APIF39; Line: 175
    Any thoughts on this.
Shall I have to configure something in the SUS system for this report to capture there?
    Or
Shall I have to configure something in the MM system ECC6.0 for this report to send it to XI correctly?
    Thanks in advance.
Will be of most useful to us, if somebody throws some light on this.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar.

  • Use ZBBP_PO smartform for PO printing in SUS

    Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to use the SRM PO smartform for output in SUS?
That is, if the vendor prints the PO form in SUS, is it possible to call the smartform ZBBP_PO instead of ZBBP_SUSPO?
    Would really appreciate any help.
    Regards,
    Kezia

    Hi,
For SUS for any Output you can use the BADI BBP_SUS_DOWNLD_FILES for printing.
    Just check following help
    Use
You can use this Business Add-in (BAdI) to specify file names and folders that differ from those used in the standard system for downloading documents. You can also specify the XSLT program the system uses for converting from XML to CSV, as well as the form the system uses for printing documents.
    Standard settings
SAP does not deliver a standard implementation for this BAdI. If there is no active implementation, the system uses the following:
    • File name for:
    o Purchase order: PO_<purchase order number>
    o Confirmation: CONF_<Confirmation number>
    o Shipping notification: ASN_<shipping notification number>
    o Invoice: INV_<invoice number>
    • XSLT program for:
    o Purchase order: BBP_SUS_XML2CSV_ORDER
    o Confirmation: BBP_SUS_XML2CSV_CONF
    o Shipping notification: BBP_SUS_XML2CSV_ASN
    o Invoice: BBP_SUS_XML2CSV_INV
    • Output form for:
    o Purchase order: BBP_SUSPO
    o Confirmation: BBP_SUSCONF
    o Shipping notification: BBP_SUSASN
    o Invoice: BBP_SUSINV
The BAdI provides the FILES_MODIFY method with the following parameters:
    Importing
IV_OBJTYPE Document type (purchase order or invoice)
    IV_OBJID Document number
    Changing
    EV_XML_FNAME XML file name
    EV_CSV_FNAME CSV file name
    EV_PDF_FNAME PDF file name
    EV_REL_DIR relative folder
    EV_XSLT_PNAME XSLT program
    EV_SMARTFORM output form
    Activities
If you want to use file names or forms that differ from the standard system, implement the BAdI and activate the implementation.
    Example
    include BBP_PD_CON_CL.
    CASE iv_objtype.
    Order
    WHEN c_suspo.
    ev_xslt_pname = 'YOUR_ENTRY'.
    ev_xml_fname = 'YOUR_ENTRY'.
    ASN
    WHEN c_susasn.
    ev_xslt_pname = 'YOUR_ENTRY'
    INVOICE
    WHEN c_susinv.
    ev_smartform = 'YOUR_ENTRY'.
    CONFIRMATION
    WHEN c_suscf.
    ev_xslt_pname = 'YOUR_ENTRY'.
    ENDCASE.
    See these related threads:
    Smartform for SUS PO
Re: MODIFICATION IN OUT PUT (pdf) OF SUS PO
You need to implement the above mentioned BADI to call another Form(other then the std ).
