I am trying to link pdf's to my iWeb site. I did use the Link (hyperlink). Clicked the "enable as hyperlink button." Linked to: File.
And then under CHOOSE I picked my PDF file. The title DID pop-up on my site with an underline and the "little mac hand" is active when I put my cursor on it, BUT it doesn't OPEN my pdf. I am thinking that I have to WAIT until I publish my site in order to view it? (question) The "make hyperlinks active button"
is working on ALL of my other LINKS, but NOT on my PDF's – why does it work on everything else and NOT my PDF's? (question).

You are correct in thinking that you will have to publish your site before the link will work.

O-kay now, I have a 2.1 GH iMac G-5 w/iSight 20"
I have one a them Elgato EyeTV gizmo's that works fantastic, but I had been using up a bunch of gigs on my HD recording shows, movies etc. from the thing. So I just went and got me a Buffalo 500 gig external and got er hooked up an all.
Its just that when I add my recordings to it and try to access em, it tries to play them through QuickTimePlayer and wont. I had issue's recording to DVD's as some are protected and wont copy.
It appears that all I can do is save em to my internal hard drive and limit the amount I save.
Any thoughts on this out there?

Did you try the Custom Rule option on the Create page? That
way you should be able to unlink the colors and change one at a
time (except if you change base color, all will still change). If
you picked Custom rule and are experiencing this, then it's

I am curious why I can't find a particular book in a series by Susan Wiggs?

I have 7 of 8 books in the Lakeshore Chornicles series by Susan Wiggs. I am unable to locate The Summer Hideaway, which is the 8th book (and available thru Kindle, Amazon, etc), so am puzzled why not Itunes? As I have all the other books in the series on my bookshelf, it would be nice if I could buy this one here too, instead of thru a different "store", and keep it in a separate library. Help?

Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions).

Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

I assume it was a volume license product you purchased? if so you should be able to sign into the Volume License Service Centre and see the product listed along with any required keys. If it isn't showing contact your distributor and get them to ensure they
have linked it to your account.

Why doesn't Adobe Flash Player show videos in one profile, but works kay in another?

Have two users in Windows Vista SP2 - one is set as administrator one as just a user. When logged in as Administrator- PW protected (or-if I open FF 9 to run as administrator ) [Flash Player 11.1.102.55 installed ] videos work fine. When logged in as Standard Uuser, videos do not play.
2 sites in particular are:

I would be happy to provide some help! I can see that you are unable to print anything to the Deskjet 2540 via wireless. To ensure I provide you with the correct information I will need to know what operating system the computer running. also are you trying to print from a mobile device like an iPad or tablet?
If you are unsure of what operating system version your computer is running:
For Windows click here: Windows Operating System
For Mac click here: Mac Operating System
To ensure your router is setup to network the printer correctly I recommend contacting your router company an ensure the following settings are correct in the router:
~ Network name and password need to have NO SPACES OR PUNCTUATION
~ Must be using WPA security
~ Encryption Type 128-bit
~ Dual broadcast Wireless b/g/n (printer will only connect to g)
~ MAC filter needs to be turned off
~ Multicasting Must be turned on
~ Bonjour must be enabled
~ Dual band set to 2.4 Ghz
~ Correct Wireless Channel (not 1,, 6,, 11)
~ Router Firmware Updates
~ Firewall settings need to be at there default settings, or set to a lower security
~ Following ports need to be un-blocked:
Incoming (UDP) ports : 137, 138, 161, 427 (iPad 80, 443)
Outgoing (TCP) ports : 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500 (iPad 5222, 5223)

These works for english but not for other

Basically the answer is no. The keyboard layout is part of your operating systems setup. Your OS converts the key pressed to a code and passes this on to Java. No matter which key on the physical keyboard the "(" symbol is on Java does not care and always just sees a "(". As Java is platform neutral, I do not think you can tell directly which keyboard you have from Java

My saved usernames and passwords deleted by mistake.

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file that has been used before (the matching key3.db file is still needed).
So you would need a backup copy of that file.
If you have a copy of signons.sqlite file and the corresponding key3.db file then you can try to force Firefox to migrate passwords saved in this file (you will lose passwords saved in logins.json).
You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file with these steps:
* reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
* delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.
