Suspend Photo Stream for old photos?

I have just started using a Mac and Aperture and want to import many hundreds of photos into Aperture but PhotoStream insists on uploading them all. This not only takes a long time but is not what is desired! I am quite content to have photos taken in the last 30 days to be Stremed but how do I stop all these old photos being uploaded to PS?

Peter, what are your Photo stream settings in the Aperture "Preferences > Photo Stream" panel?
I disable "Automatic upload" on my mac and add the new images manually to the stream by dragging them there. That has the added benefit, that I can weed them out a bit and delete technically bad shots, before pushing the new images to all my other devices.

Disregard the question. The solution has nothing to do with any "Firefox bug". Turns out that my session wasn't being managed properly. Or rather, I was accidentally deleting other users' information when new users logged in. So if I had user 1 and user 2, and user 2 logged in after user 1, some of user 1's information would be deleted, resulting in the errors.
Oops; sorry about the false alarm. :)
(Was hoping to retract the question, but it looks like others have a similar problem.)

How can i sequence photos which have been taken over a period of months and exported to photo stream in no order for a slide show which must have the photos ordered manually?

You can't resequence the order in photo stream if that's what you are asking. You say you've been taking photos over a period of months - I hope these are not just in photo stream, because photos stay in the stream for up to 30 days (and only a max of 1000 pictures). You need to copy the photos [once they've been synced by the stream to a computer] to an album (on a mac) to folder (PC) were you can organize them any way you want.
Always sync photos to a computer (either by USB or iCloud) as you would with a digital camera. Never trust them to iCloud alone - too many users have lost most/all their photos when performing restores or whatever.

Don't rely on iCloud to back up your pictures. It's designed to sync them to your devices, not back them up. Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing your devices enough time to download them. But if you ever lose your device, or have to replace it, any photos older than 30 days will no longer be in iCloud to download.
To keep your photos, import them to your computer using your usb cable while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. After importing them, you will be given an option to delete them from your device.

You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). You're saying this is happening on a Mac?? Find My iPhone is a feature of iOS devices, not Macs. If you are trying to change the iCloud ID on an iOS device, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. if you observe i am using the DML handler emp_dml_handler procedure which is being called correctly for update and Delete on hr.employees table when i do insert on Hr.employess table there is no call to dml handler.
Not sure if i am missing some step or something is wrong with scripts.
Please help to resolve the issue.

Hi,
In this case you wouldn't need to create rules on the apply side, just create the apply with DBMS_APPLY_ADM.CREATE_APPLY. It will perform better if it has no rule sets.
Also, there is no need to call SET_ENQUEUE_DESTINATION for your case, this is only when you want the apply to reenqueue the received LCR to another queue, as a user-enqueued LCR, when the received LCR matches the specified rule.

Oracle Streams for Archiving Data

We are considering using Oracle Streams for Archiving the Data that is older than six months, is this the right option? Has anybody done archiving with Oracle Streams? or would you recommend any other option?

The tasks are
1. Oracle checks everyday at a scheduled time in the required tables for "created_date" of records is 180 days old i.e (sysdate - created_date > 180).
2. The results matching the criteria should then be sent to the Archive database or created as Files

Is the computer in you equipment line:
Dual Core Intel Xenon
(which is not a PowerMac but a Mac Pro) the one you are asking about, or do you have an older PowerMac?
If a Mac Pro, their forums are here:

and, as Mac Pros have a totally different architecture from the pre-2005 Macs this forum covers, you may not have the same issues that can affect the older models. If someone didn't notice your equipment line, you could get advice that doesn't apply.

You could try restoring from a backup, and choosing an older backup perhaps

Hello, your iPad is 'Activation Locked' as a part of 'Find My iPad'.
Log onto www.icloud.com, go to 'Find My iPhone'. Then select 'All Devices', your old iPad will probably show here, select 'Remove from Account'.
If there is no option to 'Remove from Account' ask the current owner to switch iPad off for a while, and remove from account should show in 5 minutes or so.

QuickTime 7.7 for windows vista 64 bit will not stream for me,anyone else having problems?

Function Module: /VIRSA/BAPI_AE_USERS_FOR_ROLES
Before EHP4 upgrade this functional module working fine, but after updated users are not visible.
We have chekced if the users are assigned directly users are visible but indirect (Position Based) assignment users are not apprearing.
Pl check the fucntion module with given roles below and identify the root cause,

I do not think this BAPI is meant to be called by anyone but the application using it, and its functionality may therefore change without notice.
What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there's a better way to do that...
