Suspicious Email w/ Configuration Profile??

I received the following email on my ipad (3, wifi/cell att 6.1.2) via my icloud account that said it was from "ATT Wireless" (actual address was from "clicktracktwo.biz").  I did not download the images - and this is what was in the body of the email.  I have already suspected that there has been a config profile installed on both my iphone and ipad - as well as my macbook pro - can someone help shed light on what this email means? As an aside -  all my devices are privately owned - i have never knowingly installed  any configuration profiles on any of them - none ofmthem are used for business purposes.

Is there a way to set the iOS email signature through a configuration profile (.mobileconfig)? If not, is there any other solution instead of copy-pasting the signature into the Mail.app prefs?

    Hi,
Automatic E mail notification can be acheived as follows
    1. First of all decide on what basis would you want to trigger the action for eg. based on status or Date profile ...
2.Make partner dependent in the action definition and put the responsible partner function.( for eg:- employee responsible)
3.Now for your action profile maintain the Schedule /Start condition (if status = in process).
This will trigger the action (partner dependent) when status is in process and the document is saved(Action Definition) .If you want the mail to go after a stipuleted time you can attach a date rule to your action and a date profile with that rule to your transaction type .
    Please reward if it helps!
    Cheers

  • How do I duplicate a configuration profile in the iPhone Configuration Utility?

I have over 60 iPad 3 which need configuring. I want a configuration profile for each one (each one will have a unique email setup on each profile)
I would like to be able to duplicate a profile or something which is much faster than creating a whole new profile for each one

    Just answered my own question:
Select configuration profile, go to file and duplicate

  • Can't install the configuration profile

Hi, I have upgraded the ipad2 to iOS 5 and created a configuration profile, when I connect the iPad through USB, I can see the install button but when I click on it, nothing happens, it seems as if I missed something! Even when I try sending it as attachment through my email, it doesn't allow me to install it, it just gives me the option to copy.
Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks

Is it possible one of the payloads is incomplete?  I most often see an install failure when a mandatory entry in a payload is missing or has a bad value.....

  • Wi-Fi settings in iPhone configuration profile not working

    Hi there,
if I apply the exact same iPhone configuration profile by using a USB cable and the iCU it works just fine and the Wi-Fi is starts to work immediately. If I upload the profile to the web and install it via a webpage everything works except the Wi-Fi. Both times it is the exact same profile. Any suggestions? Anyone with the same problem?
    iPhone 4 / iOS 4.1 / iCU 3.1.0.256

Has anybody a better idea how I could avoid the problem? Maybe there is a better way of profile distribution? How are you guys distributing your profiles (no MDM solutions)? I don't know if distribution via email attachment is a good idea cause sometime email isn't already setup so the better way is to go via the browser and a webpage or the profile is going to change the email settings.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions ... Thanks a lot!
Maybe anybody knows a cheap and good MDM solution. We just have 7 iPhones in our company syncing with Exchange.

  • Can't install configuration profile using iPhone Config Utility 3.5 and iPad iOS 5.1

Sorry for the long title, but...
I had a certificate expire in my configuration profile (that allows access to the Enterprise WiFi network). In the past, that means I go fetch a new certificate, install it into the configuration profile, attach the device to the computer via USB, and download that to the device. It's all good.
With iCU 3.5 and iOS 5.1, that all works fine until the last step. I hit the install button - nothing happens. Zilch. Nada, Zero. I happen to be a developer as well, so I have Xcode open and am watching the device console. Absolutely nothing happens on the device console.
What am I doing wrong? I can't believe that this is broken, and if it is broken I'm the first person to trip on it, so what's up?
(I did workaround this problem by exporting and sharing the configuration via email to the device and installing it from the attachment. That part still seems to work, and the profile itself also seems to work. The problem seems to be with iCU and downloading profiles.)
    Thanks for your help.

I ran into same problem. I think ithis might be your problem . This fixed mine I had settings already set and tried to install on new ipad and wouldn't work wouldn't do anything just set there I hit install and never did nothing. What I did was del the settings for configuration and re set them all over again and boom it's worked it works fine for me now. Hope this helps

  • Cannot install configuration profiles using iphone configuration utility, why?

I have several working configuration profiles, which I can distribute both via email and a website.
I'd like to install the profiles through the iPhone Configuration Utility, but I am not able to do so. The devices show up just fine in the list. When I choose the Configuration Profile tab and clicking the install-button on a profile (which will install fine via Email or website) in the list, nothing happens. Regardless of the device beeing out of the box, or activated via iTunes. What am I missing?
I have tried this on several iPad and iPad 2 devices with the latest (4.3.3) firmware installed.

    Hi,
I have the same problem. After creating profile with only General tab being set up it is failing to install on my iPad.
    Profile installation failed
The profile could not be added to device
    Any suggestions?
I even erase all content and setting but that didn't help either.
The only alarming thing is that in my Certificate section I have red message:
"This certificate was signed by and untrusted issuer"
    Can that effect installation?
If that is the case how to fixed it?
P.S. iPad was purchased from Apple Store.
    Regards,

  • Installing Configuration Profile Fails

A configuration profile is required to install security certificates to iPad.
Created a configuration profile with iPhone Configuration Utility 2.2. Utility recognizes iPad, but clicking "Install" button on "Configuration Profiles" page does nothing (no error message, nothing). Sending the profile by Email to iPad gives "Mail Cannot Open This Attachment" error when opening configuration profile.
I have previously created and installed profiles successfully to iPhones and the profile created above works in iPhone (3.1.3).

Answering to my own question. I was able to create and install configuration profiles successfully by creating another user account in OS X and using that to install profiles.

  • Configuration Simulation and Configuration Profile

    Hi,
I have setup my configuration profile to Config parameter - Process to Sales Order (SET) with single-explosion but when I go to configuration simulation, NO BOM components were selected even without object dependency. However, when I set to Config parameter - Process to Plnd/Prod.Order with single-explosion , the BOM components were selected and displayed in configuration simulation. I have BOM that have both usage for Production (Usage 1) and also Sales and Distribution (Usage 5).
I would really appreciate it if anyone got any suggestion/solutions.
    Thanks so much.

  • Can't install configuration profile on iPad - "The profile ... could not be installed"

    Hi all,
I'm trying to create a simple test MDM server.
    I'm using a Windows Server 2008 R2, and an iPad (iOS 5.01).
I set up a python based web server to accept requests in port 8080, installed an APNs certificate and created a configuration profile using IPCU with an MDM payload (and a VERISIGN credentials paylod to match it).
I have ports open to on the server (443, 1640, 2195 and 8080 where my server is listening).
I sent the configuration profile to myself, via email and tried installing it on my iPad.
    I got the response:
    Profile Failed to Install
The profile "MDM test profile" could not be installed.
Does anyone know what could be the problem here? What am I missing?
I have tried installing on an iPhone as well, same problem.
    Thanks,
    Tomer

    Try a clean re-install.
    * Download the setup file from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/RC (this is for the Firefox 4 release candidate)
    * Uninstall Firefox, do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data"
    * Delete the Firefox installation directory - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
    * Re-install Firefox
This process does not remove the Firefox user data such as bookmarks and passwords which are stored elsewhere in the profile folder.
You may also need to manually reset the Software Update feature by deleting the software update files as shown in the "Software Update not working properly" section here - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update

  • Distributing iPhone Configuration Profiles: Safari Error

    Hello,
I created a configuration profile using iPhone Configuration Utility that I emailed and successfully installed on an iPhone 3G 2.0.
I copied (via scp) the same file to server running Mac OS X 10.5.2. When I first downloaded the profile (named CP-V.mobileconfig) using Safari, the iPhone displayed the raw XML of the profile. Re-reading the Enterprise Deployment Guide, I added the proper MIME type: "AddType application/x=apple-aspen-config mobileconfig" and reloaded Apache.
Now, the iPhone displays "Safari can't download this file".
Apache logs no error and logs the access:
    ... "GET /iphone/CP-V.mobileconfig HTTP/1.1" 200 4005
Any suggestions for how to debug this?
    -- Tom Kishel

I had the same problem and after a lot of head scratching I finally figured out that I had my MIME type set incorrectly.
Mine was set to "application/x-appleaspen-config" rather than "application/x-apple-aspen-config".
Once I made that change the profile worked like a charm.
To check mime types you can use the www.web-sniffer.net service. Select "Request type: HEAD" to see the http response header only.

  • Configuration profile won't install

    Dear all,
I try to install a new Exchange configuration profile using Safari to be able to synchronize my ipod with my company's email and agenda (Lotus Traveler). The configuration profile is downloaded by Safari but the "Install profile screen" doesn't show up as it should do. I'm stuck on a web page with an empty square (representing a file I guess) and the name of the configuration file below. If I click on the file, nothing happens.
This happens since I installed the application called "Files Lite" to be able to store all kinds of documents in my ipod touch. At first, I was proposed to open the configuration profile with "Files Lite", which I didn't want. So I uninstalled "Files Lite" but now, I can't even open the configuration file. I guess Files Lite didn't clean up everything.
Did anybody experience this kind of problem ? Do you have any suggestion ?
    Thanks

"Files Lite"'s support team says it's something they had not planned in their software. A new version should be published soon on itunes solving this issue.
I personnaly found a workaround by uninstalling "Files Lite" PLUS another soft, "FileMap", which was in fact the origin of my problems ! Once all these files handlers uninstalled, I could install the configuration profile without any problem.

    Claim #: 20813700201
You May Be Entitled to a Cash Payment from a Class Action Settlement Fund
if Apple Denied Warranty Coverage for Your iPhone or iPod touch
Because Apple Stated Your Device Had Been Damaged by Liquid
The United States District Court, Northern District of California, authorized this notice.
The Court will have a hearing to consider whether to approve the settlement, so that benefits may be paid.
This is not a solicitation from an attorney.
This settlement affects you if Apple denied warranty coverage because Apple stated that your iPhone or iPod touch had been damaged by liquid. The settlement will create a $53 million fund that will be used to pay eligible Settlement Class Members and to pay incentive awards to the Class Representatives and attorneys' fees and costs to Class Counsel, as approved by the Court (the "Settlement Fund"). If you qualify, you may send in a claim form to ask for payment, or you can exclude yourself from the settlement, or object. To receive a payment from the Settlement Fund, you must submit a claim form to the settlement administrator on or before October 21, 2013. You may obtain a claim form by clicking HERE or by visitingwww.AppleWarrantySettlement.com/Landing.aspx. If you don't want a payment and don't want to be legally bound by the settlement, you must exclude yourself by December 4, 2013. If you stay in the class, you may object to the settlement by December 4, 2013. Please see the Detailed Notice described below for more information about excluding yourself or objecting. The remainder of this email message contains a summary of important information about the terms of the settlement and about your legal rights. Please read it carefully.
You may visit www.AppleWarrantySettlement.com or call 1-855-282-8115 to obtain additional important information, including a Detailed Notice that describes the settlement more fully and provides instructions on how to exclude yourself or object.
Summary of the Class Action Settlement and Your Legal Rights
    What's This About?
The lawsuit claimed that Apple wrongfully denied warranty coverage by stating that iPhones and iPod touches had been damaged by liquid because a Liquid Contact Indicator ("LCI") (also known as a Liquid Submersion Indicator), which is visible through the headphone jack or through the dock connector port, had turned pink or red. Apple denies all allegations and is entering into this settlement to avoid burdensome and costly litigation. The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Apple.
    Who's Affected?
The Settlement Class is composed of people who meet the following criteria: (1) U.S. residents who are or were the owners of an iPhone or iPod touch; (2) which was submitted to Apple for warranty coverage on or before December 31, 2009, for an iPhone, or on or before June 30, 2010, for an iPod touch; (3) while that iPhone or iPod touch was covered by Apple's one-year limited warranty coverage or, if applicable, the AppleCare Protection Plan; and (4) Apple denied warranty coverage because Apple stated that the iPhone or iPod touch had been damaged by liquid.
What Can You Get from the Settlement?
Apple has agreed to create a $53 million Settlement Fund. The fund will be used to pay eligible Settlement Class Members, and also to pay incentive awards to the Class Representatives of up to $1,000 each and attorneys' fees and costs to Class Counsel, not to exceed 30% ($15.9 million) of the $53 million Settlement Fund, for their services as approved by the Court. Apple has reserved the right to object to the amount of attorneys' fees, costs and incentive awards. Any undistributed funds will be disbursed to one or more non-profit entities approved by the Court. Apple has also agreed to separately pay for the cost of notice and settlement administration. The amount you receive from the settlement will depend on a number of factors, including the type of device you owned and the number of Class Members eligible to receive payment from the Settlement Fund. Your share of the Settlement Fund will be determined by the type (i.e., iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch) and configuration (i.e., 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 gigabytes) of the device for which you sought warranty coverage from Apple. The amounts are listed in the chart below. The amounts represent the average amounts paid to Apple for replacement of each device type and configuration. The exact amount of the share you receive may be higher or lower than the amounts listed below, depending on the total number of Settlement Class Members eligible for a payment and the type and configuration of their devices. No eligible Settlement Class Member will receive more than 200% of the amount listed below for their device type and configuration.
