.svg file missing portions

Basically, I'm using another program (Axograph.X) to export a graph as a .svg file. When I open the graph in illustrator, lart portions of it are missing. I'm not getting any error message; just white space where there should be data points.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem isn't with the .svg file itself; the everything is displayed properly when I open the file in Firefox (20.0.1) or Internet Explorer 10.

I'm using a trial of CS6. I was actually able to get around it by creating the file in a different version of AxoGraph, so the problem must not have been with Illustrator. I'm not sure how to provide the file, but at this point it's pretty much irrelevant anyway I suppose.

Is it possible to export Vector Smart Objects as vector SVG files from Photoshop CC 2014?

I have Vector Smart Objects copied from Illustrator and pasted into Photoshop. I would like to export them as vector SVG files (using Generator or Extract Assets). I can add the .svg extension to the layer and actually export an SVG just fine. The problem is any SVG I have exported have all been raster images. It defeats the purpose of having that as an option as far as I'm concerned.
I remember watching and listening to keynotes and other speakers at Adobe MAX 2014 who said it was so powerful and amazing to create SVG files from Photoshop. If we're still exporting raster SVG files from Photoshop...that's not very impressive or exciting--especially since this era of modern web development benefits greatly from using vector SVG files.
I understand that Shape Layers can be exported as vector SVG files but that seems very limiting. I also realize that users can create some impressive vectors in Photoshop, but that is not optimal. Illustrator is a better tool for creating vectors and I normally use Photoshop and Illustrator side-by-side. I know that vector SVG files can be exported from Illustrator but that isn't as user friendly and convenient as utilizing Photoshop > Generator > Reflow.
My idea was to create my assets in Illustrator, paste them into Photoshop as Vector Smart Objects, set up my layout, and then use the Generator/Reflow method or Extract Assets to get a new web design started.
Maybe I misunderstood what the speakers at Adobe MAX had said. Perhaps it's just user error and I'm just missing something simple (it happens).
Photoshop CC 2014 notes the following under Help > System Info:

Not quite the same, but have a look at the new Libraries feature that came with 2014.2.2 I just tried it, and dragging a vector object into a library I created in Photoshop, was there in Illustrator. This happens without having to close and reopen Illustrator. Just use the drop down at the top of the Libraries panel (in Illustrator) to find your custom, or job specific library.

I have installed Feh from the community repos, along with imlib2. according to the official website, feh can open SVG files, but I get an error...
feh WARNING: /home/jaydoc/archlinux-artwork-1.1/logos/archlinux-grad1-dark.svg - No Imlib2 loader for that file format.
So is feh capable of doing this or not..? Am I missing any needed dependency..? I don't want to use inkscape etc, as they seem to have a lot of dependencies.

I browse images with gqview and can set the wallpaper with feh from it.
In the gqview preferences go to editors and add feh wallpaper with feh --bg-scale %f as the command
I put mine #2 under gimp so while browsing images in gqview i can hit control 2 and it sets it as wallpaper or right click and go to edit>feh wallpaper.

Do you know how to create an svg file?

I'm trying to create an svg file of a landscape photo that I took. I was able to use PE12 to create a turn my photo into black and white, where the buildings and such are black and the sky is white. At this point, I want to delete the sky portion of the photo and save the buildings portion (only) of the photo as an svg or a jpg file. I was able to save this as a jpg in PE12, but only with the white background in the file. I don't know how to save it separately. If I could save it separately, I would bring it into Elements and save it as a svg file. Am I going about this correctly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Unless you changed the defaults, when you deleted the white sky you should see a checkerboard pattern (the default that denotes transparency).
Then when you save that as a png the transparency is preserved.
To turn the sky black press 'D' to set the default colours. Select the paint bucket and, for your image, tolerance to 100 and just click in the white sky.

Macbook was fixed, paid for backup, files missing

On friday my computer shut off without warning while i was on the internet. I took it into the apple store and the genius guy thought that it might be the magsafe. So I had the magsafe checked out because no matter what was reset the computer would not start. The magsafe wasnt the problem, they thought it was the logic board. So I brought in my western digital external drive and paid apple to back my computer up before they sent it away to be tested.
on wednesday i was called and told my computer is ready. So I rushed to the store and grabbed my compter and the external and rushed them home before I had to be to work.
that night i went to look for a file on my computer and it was gone. in fact a large portion of my files were gone. so i went to the external and did a retrieval. it loaded the folders but not the files.
to get to the files i have to go through finder, and follow that chain until i can get to my files. My problem is that I still have files missing. It doesn't look like they backed it up since my last backup....what can i do, i'm missing some important artwork that i did for clients and contests. My father and I feel like if i paid for the service than why wasn't it done properly.
any suggestions because the phone line is no help. should i take it back to the store?

I too have this exact same problem. I recently replaced my hard drive and before doing so, did an entire system back up. When i went to restore the files onto the new hard drive there doesn't seem to be any files to back up from my time machine. Nothing!!! Pls can someone help?????

Trouble embedding svg file in application

Hi,
I am trying to embed a svg file in my flex application. Its a plain vanila file with no animation or anyhting. The file however gets loaded, but is not rendering right. The color in the file is all black. Any idea on what I am doing wrong here would be helpful. My embedding code is like :

What browser are you using?
The Object tag is for IE
The Embed tag is for Netscape/Firefox etc.
It looks like you load the file from two different locations?
Have a look at src="images/flashpart_new.swf" I think you miss a / there like /images/flashpart_new.swf. I would make http://www.etcetc.net/flashpart_new.swf the same as the other one, or the other way around.

Pattern not showing up on .svg file?

I apply a texture pattern to a portion of my artwork. When I save as an .svg file, the area with the pattern comes up blank. What is going on? How do I fix this?

Patterns must either be flattened so they are embedded as pixel data or expanded to retain vectors. Depends on what pattern you actually use. You can also hack the SVG in a text editor and reference an external file to act as a pattern...

A client has given me an SVG file, and swears it is vectored.
I only find one layer in Illustrator CC, and it's a bitmap. Am I missing something?

You can open it up in a decent text editor and look at it. Look at a known good SVG that is vector and compare the type of information in the files. If you don't have a known good SVG, Wikipedia uses a lot of SVG files for their illustrations (like flags, etc). If you are using Windows, you could try downloading and installing InkScape, it's what a lot of people who create SVG files use.
Otherwise, consider uploading it to dropbox or the like and post a link.

This makes it difficult to design and place objects with any accuracy. Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?

Error opening svg files Illustrator CC

Hi, I used to open and edit SVG files exported from HighCharts without any issue. I now get the following error when I try to open these files:
"The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [CANT]"
I'm not sure if it's related but this issue has only started since I ran the new updates for Adobe Premier, After Effects & Speed Grade.
I'm running OS X Mavricks on a Macbook Pro.
Anyone else having the same issue?

you probably miss a typeface used in the svg file, either:
- install the missing fonts
- take out the references to fonts using a texteditor (remove attributes like font-family="'Calibri'")

How do I use an Edge Animate project with SVG files in InDesign for DPS output?

Is there any way to include an Edge Animate web content using .svg files in InDesign for output to DPS?
Edge Animate works great with InDesign, except for when you're using SVG files. I've worked with SVG files on the web successfully (writing .htaccess files and such), but it seems like InDesign doesn't like them.
This is pretty important because I don't want to have to design multiple renditions on the DPS suite. Currently I have it setup as a PDF format (DPS) and that scales all of the vector-based type perfectly. It would be wonderful if the animations could also be in a vector format so that when the iPad (3) users see the designs, they will scale naturally through the PDF framework.
Any advice would be invaluable.

You will, because the credited funds are on your iTunes account, not the application. When you reinstall iTunes just configure it with your old iTunes account and your credits will be there waiting for you.

You could also run Application Engine PSXPCLEAN to clean orphan rows.
Are you running the report online or through PeopleCode?
In last case make sure the effdt is set correct in PeopleCode.
Also have a look if your server time settings are correct.
