SVG Flow Chart

Hi,
Is there an option to integrate into the HTMLDB an SVG with a flow diagram ?
The HTMLDB has the option to show graphs using SVG, but not a flow chart ....
Thanx

Mylenium thanks for your insight.
Should it matter that I'm placing a TIF into the SVG if I'm embedding? I could see it being a problem if I wanted to save it as linked (so there would be two pieces for the file).
Right now my organization is using PNGs for our art (within a web page). I have had requests for making the images and callouts larger. I was considering SVG because it can be scaled up within the browser (by the user) and it has the added bonus of the any text inside the art being searchable.
I've never experimented with Flash graphics. Can it offer similar advantages? Particularly with the ability to scale the art up.
Otherwise I expect our need to have larger art will require a minimum of two sets of web images with an interactive method to see the larger file if desired by the user. Since I'm looking at an art library of over 6 thousand images (before translation or needing multiple sets/formats), this could become an automation nightmare very quickly.

    Dear James,
    Process Flow:
1)Determination of Requirements: Through MRP, purchase requisitions
2)Source Determination: helps you identify potential sources of supply, creating requests for quotation (RFQs
    3) Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations: The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios
    4) Purchase Order Processing: information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. scheduling agreements and contracts are also supported.
    5) Purchase Order Follow-Up: The system checks the reminder periods you have specified. up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6) Goods Receiving and Inventory Management: Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number
    7) Invoice Verification: The system supports the checking and matching of invoices, and clearing invoices for payment.
Flow Chart for PO & MM process :
    RFQ (ME 41) --> Maintain Quotation ( ME 47) -> Price comparision ( ME 49)>
    -->Create PR ( ME 51 N) --> Create PO ( ME 21N) --->
    > Good Receipt  wrt PO( MIGO)> Invoice Verification wrt PO ( MIRO)
I hope this will suffice your need & if satisfied please reward points,

  • How do I make a flow chart in pages

How can I make a simple flow chart in pages for a lesson plan?  Or can I?

are your answers for iOS or desktop version of pages?
I dont think that iOS pages has page layout mode, and there is no insert menu and no inspector to speak of.
for doing flow charts on my ipad(s)   chose to go with fairly inexpensive alternate apps that are made just for that kind of thing. Most can export as a picture that can be dropped into your pages documents.

  • Flow charts for work flow in dynpro / webdynpro

    hey
is it possible to add flow charts ( not by pictures ) to a program in dynpro or webdynpro  ?
i need some how to visualize all the station flow  in my work flow ( the regular wf log is not good enough ) .
    any ideas ?
    regards
    ASA.

My experience: very poor in powerpoint, I've just made one program to generate boxes with texts and relationships, but much more experience with OLE2/VBA.
But could you tell us exactly what you'd like to change in the WF log? (i.e. what information it doesn't have)
As I can understand your requirement, I think it's not worth developing such a program, you'll spend too much time, and it seems to not be a customer requirement...

  • How to make a form from a flow chart.

I want to make a flow chart into a form for a website.  For example, I have a flow chart that leads to various solutions based on yes/no answers.  I want the user to be able to enter in yes or no, and be directed to further questions or answers based on the answers they provide.  Is there an easy way to approach this?  Perhaps a form is not the best method?

Ajax (Javascript) would have an edge over PHP in regards to responsiveness. The best solution might combine all three methods (PHP, Javascript, HTML).
Are the responses going to be stored in a database? If so then you can also use the database to store the questions, complete with form fields.
One big difference between javascript and PHP is that PHP does nothing until you either open a new page or hit submit, and then it runs in a linear fashion until it reaches the end of the script. Javascript, on the other hand, can respond to other "events" that take place, such as when the user clicks away from a form field. With the advent of html5, HTML now has a little of the responsiveness of javascript.
PHP is the tool you use for processing form data and interacting with the database, if each form response is followed by a complete PHP processing cycle, the form will seem sluggish to the user. There are two solutions to this:
Have the user respond to a group of questions, then hit submit. The occasional lag for page reload won't bother the user.
Use AJAX to interact with the PHP form processing behind the scenes.
So yes, you can have one page that responds and changes depending on user input. PHP, javascript and HTML5/CSS3 can all be part of this. The specific way you build your solution will depend on your specific form progress and what technologies you are most comfortable with. For instance, my strong case is PHP, so I let it do as much of the work as possible, but I know coders who do much of what I would do in PHP with javascript, because that's what they are most comfortable using.
Any resources on how I might be able to do this via PHP?

  • Help - SVG Line Chart - ORA-20001 line_chart error Parse error ORA-00911

    Gurus,
    Need help.
I am trying to plat multiple series in a SVG line chart but am repeatedly getting line_chart error eventhough SQL queries work perfectly in sql workshop/sqlplus etc. How do I get past this error.
Sample queries I am using to plot line chart are
    select link, col1, value from (select null link, col1, col2 value from xy);
    select link, col1, value from (select null link, col1, col3 value from xy);
    xy is a table with three number columns col1, col2 & col3.
    Thanks in advance

Try taking the semicolon ";" off the end of the SELECT statements.

  • "no data found" in SVG Line Chart

    Hello,
I have a problem with a SVG Line Chart!
I have multiple series in the Line Chart, which data is based on multiple select lists.
When I leave one select list blank, so that one line has no data, the "no data found" statement appears in the Chart.
But when I delete the "no data found" statement in the Series Attributes it would not be deleted. Nevertheless when I open the Series Attributes again the message is still there....
Does anybody have an idea how I van delete the "No Data found Message"???
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Chris and Cristoph -
I have found that many times errors like this are caused by SQL statements that don't really address the business need or the requirements for the chart. Let me use a simple example:
    SELECT d.dept_name  dept_name,
           sum(s.sales_total)  sales_total
    FROM orders o, depts d
    WHERE o.dept_id = d.dept_id
      AND o.time_frame = 'Q1'
GROUP BY dept_nameSeems simple enough. But what if this statement is run early during the Q1 timeframe and one dept hasn't made any sales yet? Well, they won't show up in the output of this statement. From a business perspective, you will want that dept to show on the report with a zero total sales. You don't want them excluded from the report. So how do we fix this?
    There are several options.
One dirty way of solving this is putting in a dummy record for each dept into the orders table with a 0 sales_total value for each time unit. YUK! That has wrong written all over it!
We could use a different type of join. And then use NVL or a Case or IF statement to turn Null Values into 0.
    SELECT d.dept_name dept_name,
           sum(nvl(s.sales_total,0))  sales_total
    FROM  orders o RIGHT JOIN dept d ON d.dept_id = o.dept_id
    WHERE o.time_frame = 'Q1'
GROUP BY dept_nameWe could also square our data sets and summarize with an inner select
    SELECT dept_name dept_name,
           sum(sales_total) sales_total
    FROM (
      SELECT d.dept_name ,
             sum(s.sales_total)  sales_total
      FROM orders o, dept d
      WHERE o.dept_id = d.dept_id
        AND o.time_frame = 'Q1'
      GROUP BY dept_name
      UNION ALL
      SELECT DISTINCT dept_name ,
             0 sales_total
      FROM dept
GROUP BY dept_nameThe final result is that every dept has a value. That is the key. This is how the chart expects the data and this is probably how your business expects the data.

  • To generate a flow chart of an organization, department wise.

    Hi all,
My requirement is to generate a flow chart which will show the organisation structure ( Heirachical positions of the employees ) . That means when I put department in the selection screen, the heirchical structure of all employees of that department should come.
    Please help.
    Advance thanks.

Its very easy by using Microsoft Visio. There is a fixed file format availble in it you just need to download your data in that format. It will automatically fetch the data nd draw the flowchart. Refer the links for help -

  • SVG line chart raises ORA-20001 witha valid SQL query

    Hi,
I am on version 1.6 & 10g database. I developed an SVG line chart which was working fine, but I wanted to fill in some sparse data by using data densification. So I enhanced my query with a partitioned outer join as follows:
    select null l, month_start, issue_count
    from
    (with dates as
    (select add_months
    ( to_date( '01-jul-2004' ),
    column_value-1) dt
    from table( vtable(12) )),
    iss as
(select trunc(start_date, 'MON') mon , count(*) cnt
    from issues
    group by trunc(start_date, 'MON'))
    select dates.dt month_start, NVL(iss.cnt, 0) issue_count
from dates left outer join iss on (dt=mon)
Now the chart throws an ORA-20001 get_data error. The query is valid as it runs in SQL*plus no problems. What is it choking on?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Steve,
I didn't mean for you to put in on the Studio, just install the app in your workspace on htmldb.oracle.com, use SQL Workshop there to compile your procedures, tell us the app ID, and that's it.
The error message presentation needs some improvement, give us time. We're spending most of our energy on improving the capability of the product.

  • Is there some type of state chart or flow chart which describes the process model order of execution?

One of my customers asked me this question...
I'm have an issue with a change in the execution order in TestStand 4.1.1.  [he has upgraded from 3.1 to 4.1.1]  It looks like ProcessModelPreStep runs earlier in 4.1.1 than it does in 3.1.  This causes our model to error out because some required variables haven't been defined when it runs.  I wish there was a big flow chart or state diagram for TestStand.  Maybe there is and I don't know where to look?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Starting with TS 4.1, there is a flow diagram that can be displayed for a selected sequence...
Select "View -> Sequence File -> Display File Hierarchy"
Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T
