SVG supports CSS and SMIL, can Edge Animate help?

The objective of my use is to have Edge Animate OPEN/IMPORT an SVG file with many other SVG elements then animate just one item. For example, below is a flight instrument that I want to animate just the needle. How could that be done? Or is Edge Animate the wrong tool?

Thanks for the response. I understand that the spiders only see html code, but when the final render is in the browser AE has added a whole series of div tags. This can be seen when using the F12 mode in Chrome.

Can we capture the video and audio using cam and microphone in Edge Animate?
Hi Everyone,
I got a new requirement from the client to create a HTML5 based functionality through which one can capture the video and audio using his web-cam/camcorder and microphone. I have researched on internet and found that there is api available (not reliable) http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/getusermedia/intro/ . I am not a coder by profession and use Edge animate to create HTML 5 based animations and stuff like that. Another problem which i have found that the api only works well with Chrome and Opera and not with Mozilla, IE..
Can anybody help me out in this, please...

After a brief bit of research, you're definitely hitting upon the limitation of the browsers. Not all of the browsers have implemented this part of the HTML5 standard, so you're going to either have to use Flash or be limited to these specific browsers.

Custom CSS Is Crashing Adobe Edge Animate
Below is the HTML and CSS for a basic page, with one style. When I open it in Adobe Edge Animate and then create a shape, and set the class of that shape to "mystyle" it displays fine in the Edge Animate window (except the border style appears missing). However, as soon as I try to move the shape, Edge crashes - consistently every time. If I create a DIV on the page outside of Edge Animate first, and apply the CSS to it, then open the page in Edge, I can move the shape around - but I lose several style options in the Properties panel such as Filters and a couple others.
I'm trying to get a better understanding of what would be the best workflow when trying to use Edge to animate existing web page layouts - creating the animations and DIVs entirely in Edge first then placing the animation into an existing layout, or creating a page layout in something like Dreamweaver (along with all my other custom CSS), then opening it in Edge to animate it.
I saw elsewhere where someone explained how to attach an external style sheet instead. This seems to work without crashing, however I cannot see the rendered style on the stage itself, only when I preview the animation in a browser.

Sticky header and footer in Edge Animate
I've created a long scrolling site in EA and need my navigation bar and logo to remain static at the top as I scroll down. I also want my Contacts bar at the bottom to stay put. Can anyone help me?
I'm not familiar with JS, CSS or HTML5 so please imagine you're talking to a child. I also need to know where to add the code in the Edge Animate project.
Thanks for your patience...These fragments might fall under the category of "other", as an example, there is a copyright fragment in the Other tab of the fragment toolbox window. You could copy that and enhance it to make your footer.

What can Edge Animate not do, being DOM based, that Canvas can?
I've heard some say that "real" animation effects need to be done on Canvas and can't be done via CSS/DOM. What limitations are there inherent to Edge Animate's DOM based approach that Canvas solutions (like CreateJS) can deliver?

imho it's two import things that make the difference:
- SOA is based on standards
- SOA tries to abstract application specific semantics
most importantly this means, services are not designed with a distinct (service) consumer in mind but for an arbitrary consumer.
as a consumer you look up a standardized service description in some directory and do not have to negotiate with the service supplier and understand service specific semantics.

Itunes crashed during backup and I can't get help from apple support on the
website.
Stupid Itunes crashed on disk 41 of 46 when backing up.
There is no help available on the apple website and no way to request help on the apple website for any issue with Itunes.
How do I fix this problem?
How do I tell Itunes which disks it backup up so it won't try backing them up all over again. Did it destroy a list of what was backed up? What's going on with itunes anyways? Does it always crash when it backs up this many cds? I don't want to start all over again and ruin another 41 CDR disks trying to back it up. How do I get it to continue from where it crashed or do whatever has to be done to get it to resume where it crashed during backup?
Stupid program wouldn't let me do anything after it crashed. said it will take a minute or two (more like forever) to cancel backup. Don't even know why it was trying to cancel the backup. I didn't tell it to.Apparently there are some bugs in the latest itunes. DO NOT USE ITUNES TO BACKUP YOUR LIBRARY! UNLESS IT COMPLETES THE BACKUP, ITUNES IS NOT SMART ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT WHICH FILES WERE BACKED UP. TECH SUPPORT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE ITUNES KNOW WHAT FILES WERE BACKED UP SO IT CAN CONTINUE FROM WHERE IT LEFT OFF. AFTER 41 CDS WORTH OF BACKUPS, ITUNES CRASHED AND IT TRIED TO CANCEL THE BACKUP BUT NEVER FINISHED DOING THAT.
SO AFTER 60 CDS WORTH AND ABOUT 6 HOURS OF WASTED TIME, THE ONLY WAY IS TO BACKUP THE ENTIRE LIBRARY ALL OVER AGAIN WHICH IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, TIME, AND CDS WITH NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL WORK ANY BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND.
EVEN TRYING TO RESTORE FROM CDS DOESN'T TELL ITUNES TO UPDATE ITS LIST OF BACKED UP FILES. I'M SURPRISED THAT SUCH A BIG BLUNDER WITH ITUNES HAS GONE UNNOTICED.
ITS A SERIOUS ENOUGH ISSUE THAT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT IT. I BACKED UP MY ITUNES TO HD AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS SO OBVIOUSLY ITS AN ITUNES ISSUE.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, ITS A VERY ANNOYING PROBLEM TO PUT SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT INTO GETTING NOWHERE. -

I've tried the following:
1- I downloaded jquery-ui-1.11.4.custom the official site,
2 Adcionei the two mentioned files "jquery and jquery-ui" in my folder
project in EDGE ANIMATE,
3- Adcionei within the stage in "creationComplete" the following code:

My system strated having download faults, so like a good boy I reinstalled the software, installed the drivers, went into recuse mode. Now here I am three days later, still in rescue mode and I cna't even trun the thing off. The support by e-mail only told me what I had already doen to no avail. So I called the phone helpline (God only knows how much that cost me!) and they ran thru a couple of things and said there is no reason why is shoudln't work! HELLO-IT ISN'T WORKING!
Please help, I am about to trow the towel in on the peice of kit.
I have attempted all of the above both on a laptop and desktop.
It seems to me that the OS is lost and I can't get my PC/laptop to recognise the device to reinstall the OS, any suggestions
