SVN 1.5 experience?

We're considering upgrading the SVN repository to 1.5. The reason we'd do
this is that we've heard the merging support is supposed to be much better.
However we've heard that maybe the merging functionality isn't as great as
it's supposed to be. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Matt

  • MY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH CHAT AND VISION

    In my personal e-mail I received publicity inviting me to purchase a Skype credit gift card. I thought it was a nice offer and I happened to have a friend that had the need and could use such a gift. I procedeed to purchase a $10 dollar gift card, I did the transaction from Colombia and sent it to my friend in the US. Shortly after the purchase I received a message warning me that my order was being under security scrutiny. I found it unexpected and unjustified (Is my $10 dollar order a security risk of some sort?), but I thought that maybe it was because it was an international order, and I understand the need for security in online transactions, so I decided to not worry, trusting in the spotless service that I have had from Skype up to that point. At that moment I noticed that the one providing the service was no Skype but Chat And Vision (whose website, by the way, looks far less friendly than Skype's).
    Then I received an Email telling me that the order has been rejected. No justification, no explanation. Just a politely worded but most unhelpful and uninformative e-mail.  It made a point of telling me that they didn't retain the payment, yet my card was charged and no refund has been made so far. I replied the e-mail asking for a reason, and how to get a refund. I received the automated reply telling me that somebody would contact me the next day. It's been a day and no reply so far.
    Searching online I found mine was only one in a long list of blunders and poor service from Chat And Vision. The complains on forums and online outnumber the claims of good service. Mine is a very small case compared to other complains I have read about. It was a small purchase for a smal amount, but it turned into an unexpectedly unpleasant experience for something that should have been a simple purchase ( Am I really such a security risk that I can't be allowed to place an order for a gift card?)
    In the end I feel that I was snared into a trap with that offer. I trusted, I paid, didn't receive the goods, haven't yet received the refund, my friend really needed that gift and had to do without, which caused him inconvenience, my high regard from Skype has been tarnished, and I'll hesitate to make new purchases of Skype services in the future, if they keep being powered by Chat And Vision.

    Some updates: I received two e-mails from Chat And Vision, regarding my two questions as to why my order was rejected and how to get my money back. These are the answers:
    The first one (Ticket ID: PBF-650-80186), says: "Thank you for your email. Firstly, apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused to you. Unfortunately, due to security reasons I am unable to divulge this information. However, should you wish to make another purchase with us again, we will try to process your new order instead".
    Polite but uninformative. Notice that beyond an unfocused general apology it does not acknowledge any problem nor does pledge any improvement, just a vague statement that they may allow me to use it's service again if I choose to try (not exactly reasuring).
    A second answer to a second e-mail says: (Ticket ID: SVN-701-71147) "Thank you for your email, please be assured the money will be refunded back to you."
    That's all. Again polite but no useful information, just a vague assurance of refund, somehow, someday into the indefinite future. If it happens I'll post it here but I'm not holding my breath.
    Reading other answers from Chat and Vision posted online here and on other forums dealing with their service, there appears to be a pattern of politeness, vageness, refusal to acknowledge problems and absence of a pledge to improve. Their costumer care seems designed to placate the user without promising to get better, and is so devoid of helpul attitude that it makes me believe that their messages are redacted by a software program, and consumer complains never reach any administrative person. I might be wrong but the doubt has been sown which is a shame. Up until now I was very vocal on my praise for skype, recomending it to family and friends as a very useful and good service, but this experience with Chat and Vision, and my discovery of their costumer service history online, has set me thinking about looking for alternatives to Skype, and certainly has dissuaded me to recomend Skype to anyone ever again,or at least while their sales are still managed by Chat And Vision, or at least while Chat and Vision continues its customer service attitude, polite on the surface but haughty and unhelpful underneath.
    If there are new updates I might post them here, but for now I will not pursue the matter further since the amount involved was small and I see no point in sending more e-mails to Chat and Vision. I just feel bitter that the great service that I felt was Skype has ben tarnished by this experience. Just some final thoughts:
    I do not complain that my order was scrutinized by security reasons, I understand the risk of illegal activity on online transactions, and the need of online companies to be careful, but the process Chat and Vision used seemed overly unconcerned for the confort of the consumer. It took around a full day for my order to be scrutinized and then rejected, which did let me for a long time in the dark not knowing if my gift would reach the friend I wanted to give it to. This is 2014, does Chat and Vision not have the tecnology to do a better and faster process? Do they scrutinize online orders by hand? I have read more cases similar to mine here on this forum, which to me implies that Chat and Vision are overly and unnecessary zealous on their security procesess. ( Also it is jarring that they seem to consider their clients to be criminals, for no reason at all and with no opportunity to contest the charge.)
    If they are going to reject a transaction on security reasons, why not do it before the payment is processed, not after, which can be stressful to the consumer that gave the money and didn't receive what was advertised, for no real reason. Seems to me there is a mistake in the way the system is set, or there is a clear disdain of what the client might think or feel.
    I think that's all. Thank you if you went all the way thru this overly long rant. If you are a consummer beware that when you buy services from Skype, you are not buying from Skype but from somebody else and that somebody else does not have a spotless record. If you are an administrative person from Skype or Chat and vision, I hope you eventually prove me wrong about your unconcern for the welfare of the consumer. My experience so far is not encouraging but that may change.
    Have a good one.

  • Tells us you're experiences with Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4

    Hello, im a ubuntu user, and this morning i've installed the new jdeveloper 11.1.1.4. My first concern was to not lost all my svn and db connections, and wls jdbc datasources, after a little research i've found how to the trick. Then the installation was smooth and right now im playing with it .
    Tell us you're personal experience. !
    Daniel

    Hi Timo,
    We're having similar issues with JDeveloper here. The debugger in JDevloper is the biggest fail ever!
    I have win7-64, 8GB RAM, etc. I'm using 11.1.2.3.0 and have used earlier versions of JDeveloper too and the debugger always freezes.
    We've tweaked our vm settings for JDev and the integrated Weblogic server to no avail. I'm waiting on another 8GB RAM to be delivered to see if that might fix this sorry situation.
    Since I can only rant here and can't give you exact data, let me share some observations:
    1.
    The debugger will hang when I try and reach a null pointer exception occurring. I'll put a breakpoint on the line of code and the debugger will stop there. That's when JDeveloper becomes totally unresponsive. Nothing will will work - no close button, no gui buttons on jdev - nothing! The only way to get it responsive is to kill the weblogic java process that it spawns.
    Examining to processes that are running with the default windows sysmon tool tells me that there is a network I/O process hanging. When I end that process, things are responsive but my debugger session has been killed.
    2.
    When I've fixed the error (using sysouts!!), I can happily debug to the the fixed line and examine data variables like a normal IDE would do it. It's a bit like the fire truck arriving after the house burned down.

  • SVN/APACHE on Solaris 10

    Hi
    I'm after some on how to configure SVN/Apache on Solaris 10. I have my SVN rep created and Apache installed. The issue I face is that I am unable to get apache to authenticate with local user accounts. Ive compiled the mod_auth_pam modules for apache and still no joy. My apache logs indicate that the unix user does not exist which it clearly does. If anyone has had any past experience in setting up an SVN environment with apache on solaris i'd appreciate your thoughts on this or if someone can point me to a good how-to doc.
    Thanks

    I just checked, and for the latest Solaris, the packages you need are on Disc 5 - regardless of if it's x86 or sparc.
    If you want apache2 you'll want to pkgadd apch2u
    For apache 1 it's apchu
    Both of these have dependancies, but all of them are on the disc 5, or have already been installed with solaris (like openssl)
    Hope this helps.

  • Arch install experience / install CD uses devfs path names

    Hey, all I'm new to the forums, very happy arch user. I can't remember how I found arch, it must've been fate. I did my share of distro hopping. Actually, I plunged into the deep end with my first Linux install by choosing to run Gentoo. To their credit I was able to get it installed by relying on their solid documentation, even though I was an absolute novice at the time. Still I had to leave Gentoo because on the whole I'm too impatient to compile every single program from source.
    I then drifted to Mandrake for a short time, and then Fedora for a longer time. I became intimately familiar with dependency hell, and tracking down specific versions of libraries. I like using a few bleeding edge programs that are compiled out of CVS or SVN, and I found that it was a nightmare satisfying dependencies and dealing with package conflcts. I also ran Ubuntu for literally about 5 minutes. I won't get into why that lasted such a short time.
    I was on irc the the other day in a dev channel for bmpx, attempting to get the newest version of bmpx to run (still am). One of the devs asked me if I was running FC4 (Fedora Core 4). My response:
    Me: "I don't think I'd have a snowball's chance in hell of getting this working under FC."
    Dev: "I'm running FC5."
    I had to swallow my words. Here I am, a proud arch user with a seg faulting bmpx while the dev is running it on FC. Moral of the story: that guy must be a magician. That or FC is much more up to date now. Still, nothing could convince me to abandon pacman and go back to RPMs. Pacman is a Godsend. The whole ABS system is beautiful.
    I just recently reinstalled a fresh version of arch after something of a hiatus. A while ago I borked my system (I had an ugly situation with my partition table, among other things) and I didn't get around to resurrecting my install for a while.
    Now this was before Xorg7, and uDev, and ArchCK's move to initramfs. Obviously I was upgrading after those things were introduced. To further enrich this unhealthy mix, I have an ATI Radeon 9800, 2 ethernet cards (onboard), and 2 sound cards (PCI, and onboard). It might go without saying that I had a rocky install experience. It was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle blindfolded. Then I came to the Arch site and read about all the changes. Even then it was a messy experience, what with uDev simultaneously loading modules and whatnot (turns out that this can be a problem on systems with multiple soundcards or NICs). Finally after a boatload of troubleshooting, and much reading of the Wiki and the forum, I got everything setup. Queue angelic choir: I even got 3d acceleration via fglrx to work thanks to Iphitus's drivers, and posts in the forum by Cerebral.
    So I'm once again a happy arch user, but I'm glad it wasn't my first arch install. My first install was ultra smooth by comparison.
    If you're still reading you're probably wondering if I'm going to make a point. Well since, I'm new to the forum I figured I'd give a little background for anyone interested, and a little hope to to anyone wrestling with their install.
    Actually I do have a question which I alluded to in the subject of this post. I did an FTP install from a CD I downloaded several months ago.
    The Grub installer gives this message:
    "Arch Linux supports two /dev device systems, DevFS and uDev. You can select the one you want by modifying your bootloader's configuration."
    Obviously now only uDev is supported so that message is outdated. Plus the auto-generated fstab and menu.lst use the DevFS device paths by default.
    So my question is do the newer install CDs generate fstab and bootloader config files using the uDev naming scheme or do they still default to DevFS? I realize I was using an older CD, but it was confusing not knowing that DevFS had been completely abandoned.
    Also there should be an initrd line added to the autogenerated bootloader config (can't remember if it's there or not).
    Maybe these issues have already been addressed in newer install CDs. Hopefully they have for the sake of first-time installers.
    Whew okay I'm done, thanks guys.

    jesus franco wrote:It seems you have 0.7 even though 0.7.1 fixes all those devfs,initrd issues.
    Yea I think I do have the 0.7 CD. I just do FTP installs anyway so I didn't bother downloading a new CD. I was kinda guessing that the newer CD probably sorts out the uDev / DevFS issue but I wasn't sure. Nothing to worry about then!

  • Version application in 2 svn repository

    Good Day All,
    what is the best practice of Subversion if i want to version my application in 2 or more repository ?
    let say in my office i have a svn server and application development will be centralized there.
    but when we doing a on site development, all of the development will be centralized to repository inside my notebook.
    below is my understanding in using SVN :
    - when i import application to SVN for the first time, i will choose version application and select the desired repository location.
    - i can only di switch between other repository that in the same svn connection.
    - when i want to version the application into other repository (my notebook) the versioning menu from jdev, don't have version application option.

    hi Frank, thanks for the reply, i'll take a look at GIT
    another question, in my jdev update center, i can't find git extension.
    in this page http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/131167.xml#oracle.jdeveloper.git
    the git extension only available for jdev version 11.1.1.7.40.64.93
    but i found a few blog saying git extension already available for jdev 11.1.1.6

  • Use SVN build number in my pom.xml in JDeveloper

    I wonder if someone has already used the buildnumber-maven-plugin or any other way to insert the SVN revision number into their builds in JDeveloper.
    The way I have found requires svn to be installed separately because there is a commandline call to svn, but I'd like to use the SVN support JDeveloper gives me, mainly because JDeveloper already has my connection available to the repository.
    Who's done this before?
    thanks!

    Hi Pittsburgh,
    Thanks for your post.
    Do you mean that you have added the custom activity in your build template to generate the custom build number, and the custom build number shows as expect in your TFS build result after build completed, but the custom build number doesn’t display in work
    item Found in Build dropdown?
    After the TFS build completed and the custom build number be generated, please check the
    Builds-teamprojectname global list in your TFS Server, please check if the completed custom build number be added in that global list or not.

  • Docs on XCode and using svn

    Background
    It has been a long time since I worked actively with any version control software. Long before cvs was available, we rolled our own, with a combination of check-out and check-in methods which could be overridden based on permissions given to different users.
    I barely used cvs at one of my previous positions, and actually just left the archiving to the group that wanted me to write the code. I gave them new releases and they put them into cvs.
    Now, svn seems to be the tool of choice, and I have been able to extract code from other people's svn repositories, but have no real experience in setting one up from scratch, or integrating it with an existing or new XCode project.
    I have read the svn docs, a few months ago, while looking at various code examples, so I have a very rudimentary understanding of the commands, but would certainly NOT call myself proficient. I'm not sure I would even consider myself qualified to be a noob as far as actually using svn. However, after rolling my own and managing it for many years, I understand all the concepts.
    I'm on OSX 10.5.8 using XCode 3.1.3. SnowLeopard is still a twinkle in my eye as far as upgrading, however I plan to look at upgrading to XCode 3.1.4 once I shift some disk space around so I have room for the upgrade.
    Question
    How do I step-by-step take a project, in this case, a complete working project in XCode, that I could call version 1.0, and put it under svn version control. There appear to be hooks in XCode for this already, but i do not know enough about either XCode or svn and how they interact.
    My main interest is in being able to take my working project and try some new code or features, and still be able to grab the most recent prior working version, instead of just having the one current development version.
    Pointers to the right documentation sections would be most helpful, but please don't just tell me to read all the docs, XCode, svn, cvs, etc. and figure out how the pieces fit together. I've already tried that and none of what I read stuck in my memory as far as how they work together.
    If this is the wrong place to ask this question, please direct me to any better places.

    Mega dittos and pass the OxyContin®. I still try the search engine at the iPhone and Mac library pages, but Google does all the heavy lifting.
    I'm going with the newer docs!
    Et made a really solid point in advising you not to choose your archiving and versioning tools based on what Xcode directly supports. I'm currently collaborating on an iPhone project with a friend on the East Coast who set us up with Beanstalk and Versions. Beanstalk is free, but the Versions client was about 50 USD. This is my first experience with SVN so I'm unable to compare it with other products, but I can tell you it meets all the needs of a 2-programmer project quite nicely. We're also getting the advantage of an offsite server backup in the bargain. So far I've seen nothing but good reviews of Beanstalk, and haven't yet seen any sign of our code or artwork in the store, so I feel fairly comfortable with this service.
    Anyway returning to Et's point, I haven't even tried hooking the above up to Xcode. The Versions client lets you sync one or more folders to the archive on Beanstalk. So if you sync up your Xcode project folder, you're good to go. As always I'm putting this out there so others can teach me how to use SVN correctly, but that's what I'm doing now and quite happy with it.

  • SVN Setup on Xserve 10.5.5

    I have been attempting to setup and run a Subversion server on my Xserve 10.5.5. I followed the very robust instructions located at the following url to setup svn:
    http://blog.paploo.net/2007/10/how-to-manage-your-own-subversion.html
    Unfortunately, after receiving MANY "svn:301 moved permanently" errors, I finally gave up and decided to come here.
    Initially, I wanted my svn repositories to be shared using AFP. When doing so, I could connect to the repositories just fine, but would receive "svn: can't get exclusive lock on file" errors. After doing extensive research, I found that AFP and SVN don't go together well.
    I also attempted to host an svn directory on a site hosted by the Xserve but continually received the 301 error.
    I wanted to know if anyone has successfully setup and run SVN on an Xserve and exactly how did you set it up?
    Have you used multiple repositories successfully?
    Where did you store your parent svn directory and repository folders?
    How do your users access it? AFP? https?
    Does anyone have any advice to help me setup SVN properly?

    As I am still unable to get SVN working properly, I thought I would post a reply that would show my current status and implementation method. I am hoping that someone will see this, and help me finalize the setup process. The domain name has been changed to domain.com to simplify the setup.
    I've created an svn parent directory at:
    /Users/Shared/svn
    I then created a repository, and allowed apache to write to the directory by running the following commands:
    $> mkdir /Users/Shared/svn/domain.com
    $> svnadmin create /Users/Shared/svn/domain.com
    $> chown -R www:www /Users/Shared/svn/domain.com
    I have then created a website (via Server Admin) that loads /Users/Shared/svn as it's "Web Folder." This website is accessible via the svn subdomain, example:
    http://svn.domain.com/
    In Server Admin, I then enabled WebDAV for this specific site.
    I then ran the following command to create a user/password file to authenticate svn users:
    $> htpasswd -cm /etc/apache2/svn-auth-file.passwd username
    Last but not least, I went into the associated .conf file and made the following changes. Please note, the configuration file is named specific to this site (example: 0002_<ip address>_svn.domain.com.conf). I did not modify httpd.conf or load an extra .conf file.
    <Directory "/Users/Shared/svn">
    AllowOverride None
    Options All -Includes -ExecCGI +MultiViews +Indexes
    DAV svn
    SVNParentPath /Users/Shared/svn
    AuthName "SVN Repository"
    AuthUserFile /etc/apache2/svn-auth-file.passwd
    <Limit GET HEAD OPTIONS CONNECT POST PROPFIND PUT DELETE PROPPATCH MKCOL COPY MOVE LOCK UNLOCK>
    Require valid-user
    </Limit>
    AuthType Basic
    </Directory>
    Here's where things get strange. I stop and restart apache, and attempt to access the svn repository via browser at: http://svn.domain.com/domain.com. When I access the url I am prompted for a password. Both OD users and the user I setup using the svn-auth-file.passwd login fine, and then display:
    Revision 0:/
    Powered by Subversion 1.4.4 (r25188).
    So, it seems everything is working fine via browser. (Tested in Firefox 3 & Safari)
    But, if I attempt to access the repository using the svn checkout command and the same username/password combination I receive 301 Moved Permanently errors. Example:
    $> svn checkout http://svn.domain.com/domain.com
    $> Password for 'username':
    svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/domain.com'
    svn: PROPFIND of '/domain.com': 301 Moved Permanently (http://svn.domain.com)
    $>
    I receive the same errors when attempting to access the repository using Coda (http://www.panic.com/coda/).
    The error logs show the following lines on failed attempts:
    [Mon Nov 03 13:41:10 2008] [error] [client 10.1.1.5] modauthapple: User username: authentication failure for "/domain.com": User not found by checkpw
    [Mon Nov 03 13:41:10 2008] [error] [client 10.1.1.5] modauthapple: User username: authentication failure for "/domain.com": Password mismatch according to htaccess file
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this would be happening? And/or what I can do to alleviate these issues and get svn setup properly?
    If you have any experience with svn setup, please don't hesitate to help me out. I am approaching desperate.
    Thank you.

  • Gaim-svn-17980-1 unstable

    the recent version of gaim-svn-17980-1 is unstable. as soon as it logs in in yahoo (i have saved the password, so when i start gaim, it signs in automatically), it crashes. This is not the case with gaim-svn-17840-1 though. I had to go back to that. Did anyone else had the same experience or any solution?

    my mistake about gaim-svn in aur, someone might have posted the pkgbuild in the forums at some point. Maybe the name at the top will give it away
    If you want the latest version, grab this PKGBUILD (or the other posted) and install versionpkg - then run versionpkg in the same dir as this PKGBUILD. That should build you the current version

  • SVN support in CFB leaves something to be desired

    One of the nice features about CFB is its ability to link to source files outside of the project folder.  I prefer this to what I would normally do in CFEclipse, where the project folder and the source folder were the same.
    What's no so good is that I can't check in/out of files in SVN from the Navigator view that are linked in this way, which basically prevents SVN from having any use in CFB.  Note this is for LINKED source files, not files that are in the project folder.
    Possibly there's something config-wise that can be done with this - any suggestions appreciated.

    My old DSL modem/wireless router had started to experience problems (requiring a power down a couple of times a week), so I decided to purchase a separate DSL model and wireless router. This one came from a name manufacturer and the price (since it was refurbished) was very good.
    My old modem/wireless router (with g-band WiFi) wasn't strong enough to get to the other end of our house: we live in a ranch and the computer equipment is on one end of the house. I was hoping that wireless n would give better range, but didn't find that to be the case, with this device anyway. I've relocated it at a higher place (on a bookshelf) and sometimes get a usable signal in the other end of the house but it isn't consistent. I will say, however, that it is faster when I do have a signal.
    I'm not sure I would buy this again. I might spend a little more and get a more powerful device.
    Did you check if it's in the latest firmware?

  • Subversion .svn folders are auto populated

    Hi,
    I've a problem with my project explorer. On one computer my project shows all .svn folders which are normally hidden. Because I'm working with autopopulating folders my project dependencies aren't clear because of the duplicate entries in the .svn folders.
    I've attached a screenshot of my project explorer.
    Regards,

    I believe this was changed in LV 2009, so I suggest you look through the upgrade notes.
    Personally, I don't use auto-pop folders, so I don't have this problem. I think that you get a better experience if you only put the files you want easy access to into the project. The rest will be there as dependencies and you can see the disk hierarchy in the Files tab.

  • Anyone has experience with sun idm data exporter /warehouse funtionality ?

    Anyone has experience with sun idm data exporter /warehouse functionality. There is not much documentation about how to debug it. I created everything like in the document. Everything seems running fine. I get the following the server tasks->Run Tasks
    Data Warehouse Exporter      Data Warehouse Exporter      Configurator      executing
    Prior to that i created database and 50 tables as it said in the doc.
    I created accounts and modify email address. Nothing is getting to my warehouse database and i don;t know where to look for the errors. Any information is appreciated.

    Hi there,
    I have been looking at the source code and I think I have found the problem.
    IDM determines whether to update or create a resource account
    by attempting to fetch the user from the resource.
    If the user exists then update, otherwise create.
    In the code, if the user does not exist, the code throws the
    exception: EntityDoesNotExist(1301)
    The code then catches this exception
    and then returns a null back to IDM,
    indicating that the user does not exist.
    Well, that is what the code says but this does
    not match its actual behaviour....
    I then decompiled the actual class (jar) files
    and the code there does NOT catch the exception,
    so it bubbles up to IDM, which regards it as an error.
    Soo, the jar file that is on the website has a bug in it.
    The source code in SVN is correct, but it appears
    that the jar file was not rebuilt.
    I am attempting to rebuild a new version of the jar file...

  • Setting up svn://localhost (svnserve) [SOLVED]

    Hi,
    I've got no experience with Subversion. All I want for now is to set up a local Subversion repository, as required by Eric tutorial. There's no Wiki article about configuring svnserve; I tried to follow a short guide here.
    Here's what I managed to do:
    (1) Create a repository:
    $ pwd
    /home/user/svn/repos
    $ svnadmin create LogParser
    $ cd LogParser
    $ ls
    README.txt conf db format hooks locks
    Then I edited the repo config files in the /home/user/svn/repos/LogParser/conf directory, as here; nothing very special, or so it looks like . after that,
    # /etc/rc.d/svnserve start
    :: Starting svnserve                    [DONE]
    Eric IDE says, when I try to use Subversion:
    svn: No repository found in 'svn://localhost'
    I've no idea what to do next. Any suggestions?

    I did take a look at /etc/conf.d/svnserve.
    Here's the exact sequence of my actions:
    Editing /etc/conf.d/svnserve:
    # Parameters to be passed to svnserve
    #SVNSERVE_ARGS="-r /path/to/some/repos"
    SVNSERVE_ARGS="-r /home/alexey/svn/repos"
    #SVNSERVE_USER="svn"
    $ mkdir -p /home/alexey/svn/repos
    $ cd /home/alexey/svn/repos
    $ svnadmin create logparser
    $ ls
    logparser
    # /etc/rc.d/svnserve start
    :: Starting svnserve               [DONE]
    $ svn checkout svn://localhost/
    svn: No repository found in 'svn://localhost'
    I also tried
    SVNSERVE_ARGS="-d -r /home/alexey/svn/repos"
    and checkout from root; no difference.
    Any suggestions? There's all but nothing on the Web on this particular subject; there are very few references to gentoo-wiki, but the Wiki is down! . Help, please!

  • Svn-integration of sqldeveloper not working for Datamodeler

    Hi everyone,
    has anyone been able to use the SVN-integration of SqlDeveloper for the datamodeler? It appears that the Datemodeler has simply been appended to SqlDeveloper without real integration.
    SVN-integration of SqlDeveloper works for SqlDeveloper files, but not for the datamodeler (eg it does not recognize any incoming or outgoing changes etc). It was working in the Standalone version of datamodeler, though.
    Anyone with positive experiences?
    Yours,
    qwe15056.

    Hi qwe15056,
    Data Modeler uses its own svn integration. If you are working with DM from within SQL Developer, you can open View / Data Modeler / Pending Changes to see its own Pending Changes window that you can use to update / commit/ revert /compare changes.
    By the way, there is a separate forum concerning Data Modeler:
    SQL Developer Data Modeler
    Hope that helps,
    Ivaylo
