Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.
Once you got into the refurbished phone exchanges, that is where things really went haywire. What someone tells you over the phone is a sketchy proposition, and when it comes down to it, it's your word against theirs.
I think Verizon tried to make it right, though. Remember, they don't make the phones. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You stated yourself you were a satisfied Verizon customer before this. Had the first two phones performed as they should, you would still be a satisfied Verizon customer.
Doubt any of that will make you any happier, but after you went through the effort of writing such a long post, I thought I'd try.

Applying patch to fix the forms problem

Hi,
I have some issue with mouse so following this note *12.1.1 Mouse Navigation on Receipts Workbench Does Not Work. Users Need to Use Keyboard Tab Key [ID 873720.1]* to apply 9044638 patch to fix this. I want to confirm that i am applying it to the right HOME (just to make sure).
As frmcmp_batch version returns (10.1.2.3) or $ORACLE_HOME returns 10.1.2. So i can apply this patch for 10.1.2 home. Am i right?
Before applying this patch, the minimum opatch required is 1.0.0.0.60 or 10.1.0.0 but my current the opatch version is 1.0.0.0.57. So i have to apply p6880880_101000 patch. My concern is should i apply this to only forms ORACLE_HOME only or to IAS_ORACLE_HOME as well.

Error applying patch: 828793: TRACKING BUG FOR THE 11.1.0 CRS BUNDLE1

My environment:
- DB 11g (11.1.0.7)
- ASM 11g (11.1.0.7)
- CRS 11g (11.1.0.7)
- OEL 5 update 3
- 2 clustered nodes.
Apply the patch for the first node, it works.
Apply the patch for the other node, when I run custom/script/postrootpatch.sh, I get this message:

As long as the nodes are part of the RAC then the patch is applied across all the nodes from the first one. Check back on the logs from the first node. They should be in <Oracle HOME Patched>/cfgtoollogs/opatch/opatch*.log .

Applying Patch - Guidance needed

Below are my db & OS versions:
DB- 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0
OS- AIX 6.1
I have not done patching before. My client has asked me to apply patch 13004894 on one of the databases.
Presently I don’t have access to metalink as I am new to the team. But very soon I will have it. So till then can you please help me with below –
Step by step document to apply patch on 11.2.0.2.0 (Would be great if it is for particularly patch# 13004894 )
Any pre-checks/validation to be done before patching?
Any post patching steps to perform?
I would appreciate if you can provide any other info also which will be helpful for a beginner like me.

Every patch comes with complete instructions for applying that specific patch.
Taking a backup of the database is always a good idea. Whether or not it is needed for a specific patch will be addressed in the README.txt that comes with said patch.

Solving Deadlock while applying patch

adpatch utility automatically resubmits workers that fail for any reason. They are resubmitted twice, and this usually takes care of any deadlock issues. Only on the third failure does adpatch report an error. If you are getting deadlock errors, these should be recorded in the database alert.log. Pl also confirm that all application services have been brought down successfully before you start to apply patches using adpatch. Not doing so could cause deadlock issues.

How do I fix it so that the content moves WITH the frame as it is moved left or right. Works O.K. in the up or down direction. If the frame has been moved to the right, leaving the content fixed, the "buttons" do not work until the frame is manually moved back to the left side of the screen. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (x64 bit) with a 1920 x 1200 LCD display in the PORTRAIT orientation, and Firefox version 13.0.1. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer or Chrome.

Hmmm, could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Fix SDK-16700: Applying a matrix to a GraphicElement does not get applied immediately.
Added explicit matrixChanged and displayObjectChanged flags to GraphicElement so we can reliably track changes to those items. Changed commitXY() to set the x and y properties directly on the display object rather than indirectly through the matrix. Setting through the matrix caused any non-rotation or scale transform to be lost.

Applying patch submitted by Aaron Whitling for SDK-15682.
In SystemManager addChild and addChildAt we now remove a previously parented DO from it's old parent, to allow for SDK containers to keep their 'numChildren' in synch.
NOTE: Per Peter F., though we're holding off patches til Beta 2 clears, this patch submission is allowed due to the fact that we started reviewing it this weekend past.
