Target Flash player 10 for the team application.
QA: No
Doc:No
Check-in tests: pass
Modified Paths:
blazeds/trunk/apps/team/WEB-INF/flex/flex-config.xml

By "running fine", flashplayer 10.1 32-bit linux library may require some "massaging" to actually get it working.
E.G. on Debian Lenny 64-bit using 32-bit firefox 3.6.8 it requires at least these Lenny 32-bit emulation packages:
    ia32-libs
    ia32-libs-gtk
(this has been pretty well established for a while)
*Plus* you'lll have to grab the following libraries from a 32-bit Lenny system:
:/usr/local/firefox-3.6.8_i386$ ls -l *curl* *idn*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     19 2010-06-24 14:57 libcurl-gnutls.so.3 -> libcurl-gnutls.so.4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     23 2010-06-24 14:57 libcurl-gnutls.so.4 -> libcurl-gnutls.so.4.1.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 233992 2009-08-17 19:41 libcurl-gnutls.so.4.1.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     12 2010-06-07 10:22 libcurl.so.3 -> libcurl.so.4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     16 2010-06-07 10:22 libcurl.so.4 -> libcurl.so.4.1.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 271524 2010-03-26 23:27 libcurl.so.4.1.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root    801 2008-06-06 21:29 libidn.la
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     17 2010-02-26 07:01 libidn.so.11 -> libidn.so.11.5.37
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 200280 2008-06-06 21:29 libidn.so.11.5.37
and plop them in the top level firefox install directory to get it working.  Otherwise you only see messages like
    "Adobe Flash Player error: could not load cURL library"
(Not terribly helpful)
This is in contrast to the 10.0 beta 64-bit flashplayer lib that worked fabulously (i had no issues with it ever, which can't be said of the 32-bit one).
I wonder just how difficult it would have been to fix it for the latest exploits, as they'd done for the 10.x beta 64-bit linux flashplayer previously for security issues?
This failure by the industry to fully support 64-bit applications is getting pretty pathetic by this point.

And this is what i have found on there support page Raptr wants me to download "Flash for Other Browsers". Where do I get that? : Raptr Support

  • Is there an alternative to adobe flash player for the iPad?

    Is there an alternative to adobe flash player for the ipad2?

    No - flash is not supported, and probably never will be (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ and Adobe havn't created a version that works on iOS anyway).
    Browsers such as Skyfire, iSwifter, and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but not all judging by the reviews. You might also find that some sites (especially news sites) have their own apps on the app store which let you get some of the content that you want.

    Looking for info on Adobe flash player

    Adobe has not made a version of Flash for the iPad.

    Hi,
    What does "still won't work" mean?  Flash Player 10.3.183.90 is very old.  You might find that many sites require a newer version of Flash Player to view content, perhaps this is what you mean by "still won't work".   Depending on your system, you may be able to upgrade to OS X 10.6 which will enable you to install the newest version of Flash Player.  There's lots of information on this on the internet.  Just search for "upgrade OS X 10.5.8 to 10.6" or similar.

  • I deleted my version of Adobe Flash Player for the latest version and then it wouldn't install. Now I have no version and need advice as to trying to install an older version or what?

    Since the latest version of Adobe Flash Player wouldn't install after deleting the version I had that did work, should I try to install an older version?
    I just checked in the control panel and my add/remove programs and listed is Adobe Flash Player Active X, version 11.1.102.55. But when I tried to view a video I could not and got a message saying I needed Adobe Flash Player. Now I'm really confused?????

  • Why is there no up to date Flash player for the N8...

    Annoying that there are streaming video sites that I now can't use. I may as well have got an iPhone :-(

    Adobe has stopped developing Flash (Flash Lite) for mobiles. If Adobe is not creating new versions, then there's no way for Nokia to release any newer versions, either, as Flash is not Nokia's code.
    Note that the iPhone doesn't have/support Flash, either (e.g., YouTube is delivering the videos to iPhones in some other video format that the iPhone does support; they could do it for Nokia, too).

  • Flash player for the iphone?

    I was under the impression the 2.0 update was to include flash player? Does anyone else see this as a huge oversight? The web is NOT the web without flash viewing capabilities.

    This forum is a very helpful tool especially when I have a couple minutes to see what's new. I do not have nearly the amount of time it takes to post comments with no content, no news and and being told to deal with it. I do not spend all day every day in forums so would have no idea that this subject is so frequently discussed. Right next to my name it reads "9 Posts"

  • I am using puffin browser to watch clips on ipad-iphone etc. for that i bought adobe flash player for the browser but its owe full, it does not work will

    what should i do? i askedone of the. site support centre, they said  it should work with some funny other things . talking about the contents of there sites which could work fine on ordinary windows environoment disktops

    We don't have a relationship with Puffin Browser, but it is the only viable option for Flash on iOS and Android that I'm aware of at the moment.
    You'll need to work this out with the folks at Puffin.

  • Why can't I find Adobe Flash Player for Linux/Firefox 4

    I can't figure out how to get Adobe Flash or Shockwave player for Firefox 4. Running Ubuntu 10.04 and when I try to find them in add-ins for FF4 there seems to be nothing. I am not the world's most experienced Linux guy but since Flash and Shockwave are so common it seems curious that they don't have them as add-ins for FF4. Maybe I'm just so far off track on this one it may be the dumbest question anyone has ever asked. But what the heck, you never know the answer if you don't ask the question.
    Thanks!

    There is no flash player for the iphone and Adobe would be the one to develop one, not Apple. And there are no plugins to install instead, as far as I know.

  • Adobe Flash player for iview

    I wish to watch a tv program in iview.  I installed adobe flash player as directed, but when I went to watch my show it still told me to install adobe.  I now have three "flashplayer" icons on my desktop.  I need to delete two of these and to activate one.  How do I do this.....help please!!!

    While I'm painfully aware of the lack of a version of Adobe Flash Player for the iPhone, more and more Flash-based web home pages are not accessible to the iPhone. I also understand that Flash Player is not compatible with Apple's 'vision' for iPhone Applications. The problem we have is this increasing exclusion of Flash-based web sites and if what I understand about Apple's policy on iPhone Apps is accurate, then we will never have access to these sites on an unmodified iPhone. I can see that one of the problems is that Adobe Flash Player competes with the YouTube Player and possibly with iTunes movies.
    Unless the web pages have a link for iPhones or re-direct iPhones accessing those pages to a non-Flash version of the web page, it seems likely that we are basically, well...screwed. Anyone have a different take on this?
    Do we need an Apple-Adobe intervention? Perhaps over a nice hot mocha latté in Seattle...

  • Adobe flash player for sumsung galaxy tablet ?

    Does adobe have a flash player for the samsung galaxy tablets ? if not will adobe be developing one soon ? as most websites require adobe flash player inorder to watch the videos online.

    Your Galaxy uses the Android Operating System.
    Adobe stopped ALL development of Flash for Android last year. (July 2012) That includes Kindle as well as Samsung Tablets.
    This is from Samsung Support (07/31/2013):
    "Beginning August 15, 2012 we will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th, 2012."
    And from Kindle Support (07/31/2013):
    "The Amazon Silk web browser on Kindle Fire 1st Generation supports some, but not all, versions of Flash. Adobe Flash is pre-installed on a 1st Generation Kindle Fire and is disabled by default.
    If you see a message to install Flash while using your Kindle Fire, this means that the content you're attempting to view uses Flash. If you want to view the content, you'll need to enable Flash through the Silk settings menu.
    If a web page suffers from slow performance due to Flash, or you're unable to view a web page with Flash enabled, we recommend switching to mobile view when browsing a Flash-heavy website to see if that solves your problem:
    Some popular websites may also have an app available. Check Amazon Appstore, accessible through the Apps library on your Kindle Fire, for availability.
    The Amazon Silk web browser on Kindle Fire 2nd Generation, Kindle Fire HD 7", and Kindle Fire HD 8.9" doesn't support Flash.
    Some sites use alternative web technologies to Flash in their mobile versions. We recommend switching to mobile view when browsing a website with Flash content to see if that solves your problem:
    Some popular websites may also have an app available. Check Amazon Appstore, accessible through the Apps or Games library on your Kindle Fire, for availability."
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
    There are older versions of Flash Player (for Android) at that link, but there are no guarantees any of them will work.

    I've read a lot about "Dolphin" for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
    I'm not an Android user (no tablet or phone) so I can't make any endorsements that would hold any credibility, but most of the Flash solutions I've read point to Dolphin as the best alternative.
    Check the Android forums: http://androidforums.com/ to see what their "gurus" recommend.
