Bug##3200562: New Flex Session Id generated while disconnect with streaming amf channel
On session time out, Flex Client is invalidated on the server side. It also results in Flex Session getting invalidated. In order to complete the client-server streaming connection handshake, the client ends up sending a CLOSE command. On the server side, for any work to be done, the MB first needs to creates a Flex Session (if none exists). After doing the necessary cleanup, the newly created Flex Session will also be invalidated. No stray Flex Sessions will left dangling...

blazeds/branches/4.0.0_fixes/modules/You're trying to do this directly in ActionScript without using Flex, correct?
The mxmlc compiler for Flex adds some registerClassAlias calls to map types between the client and the server. This will be missing if try to use the messaging code outside of a Flex app.
Take a look at the mx.utils.RpcClassAliasInitializer class in rpc.swc. This has a static registerClassAliases method that will do the class registration for you. You should just need to call this before running your messaging code.

blazeds/branches/4.6.x/modules/core/src/flex/messaging/endpoints/BaseStreamingHTTPEndpoin t.javaI thought the same that those devices simply are too old. However I would like to know what causes this capabilities change. We want to get rid of the old H/W, but at the moment it looks as if we would need to revert back to the 4402 in order to get those things working again.
I have not enough information, but those devices are some kind of handhelds. Their MAC OUI belongs to Newport Electronics.

Details:
-Removed the unnecessary dependency between core module tests and remoting module. Code module, including its tests, should not depend on any other module other than common module.
-Remove blazeds-unittests project, instead added a test folder to blazeds-core project.
-Fixed a minor bug in MessageDestination that I found during JUnit testing.

osmf/trunk/framework/OSMFTest/org/osmf/elements/TestVideoElement.asThanks for looking at this post. We have resolved the issue for ourselves by working with our DBAs to narrow down where the problem actually started. We found that the particular SQL we were looking at was not the issue. In a chart on a subsequent page (via a click through), we were actually running into where apex was starting to consuming memory but we were catching it later.
What we found was that when we had a chart query that was SQL containing a pipeline function, the memory usage went up. And within 10 minutes, the server would crawl to a halt. To release the memory, the DBAs would have to bounce the Apex instance. When I changed the query to be a function returning SQL, the problem stopped. I don't know what the correlation was between SQL and moving to a PL/SQL function returning SQL.
I am not even 100% positive of the pipeline function being the cause. I only know that this started happening about the same time as when I implemented the pipeline function. I understand you are leery of a one-second function/query running up that kind of utilization. No one here believed me either (including me really). We figured it HAD to be a coincidence. But once I changed the query from SQL to a function returning PL/SQL, our problem went away.
Thanks to all who looked at and thought about this.

I took a guess at the packages that were causing problems, and seems I guessed right.
By following this guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Downgrade_packages
I downgraded both libgl to version 7.7-1 and ati-dri to 7.7-1, and now I can X starts correctly.
I guess I'll need to figure out how to file a bug on those packages. -

bug fix for watson 2887837 Not getting duplicate session detected error when same flex client id is used from two different HTTP sessions in CRX.
get the sessions id before we invalidate the duplicate session.
Checkintests pass
Modified Paths:
blazeds/trunk/modules/core/src/flex/messaging/endpoints/BaseHTTPEndpoint.javaFor our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! ) caused the error when activated after a few hours.
I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
Fingers crossed we won't get any more! -

I have just applied patch to upgrade from Portal 3.0.9 to 3.0.9.8.1 (Patch applied to loginserver and portal schema) and the External Applications that were previously set up have gone from the portlet.
Does this relate to your note at the bottom:
"Minor issues with Bulk action. 1840420 CUSTOM WRITTEN EXTERNAL AUTH MODULE NEED TO BE UPDATED AFTER 3.0.9 UPGRADE SSOXOID.PKB DOESN'T LOAD.
External authentication modules that were written before 3.0.9 need to be updated after upgrading to 3.0.9. ssoauthx.pks is updated in 3.0.9 and contains additional routines that need to be implemented." ??
If I go to the "Login Server Administration" portlet and select the link "Administer External Applications" I get a list of 5 External Applications that have previously been set up.
If I go back to the Home Page and select "customize" on the "External Applications" portlet I get the message "Your Login Server administrator has not registered any external applications".
Does that mean I should just run 'ssoauthx.pks' & 'ssoxoid.pkb' or do I need to do something else ??
Thanks
Simo
