What I did was to put in the same name for Album Artist in every track. That seemed to do the trick (previously all those fields were empty). It seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.
iTunes knows (or should know) that these tracks were imported from one CD. So why is it relying on incomplete data from the gracenote database?

Making items in a List 'jump' into another List in a Flex effect/animation....

Hello there! I need some help with effects in Flex but I
seriosly do not know how to approach this problem. I have two List
components both next to each other one on the left side of my
canvas one on the right. The left List (itemList1) has been
populated with an array of items from the server. The right List
(itemList2) is empty. I want to populate the right List with items
from the left List. I already have it so that its click and drag
and drop that's simple. What I want however is so that when you
just click on an item on the left List the item text, in a flex
effect (or even Flash animation), 'bounces' from the left List into
the right.
There is an example of this in this YouTube video of the
iphone iTunes application when you buy a song the song name bounces
from its position on the list into the 'downloads' section -> .
The desired effect takes place in the 30-34 second time frames.
Is this possible at all??? Any tips/help is greatly
appreciated.

I dont know of a way to do this programmatically without
having to code an animation. That being said, here's my initial
thinking on how I would approach it:
1) Fade the item on the source list out to alpha 0.
2) Display an animation (load a SWF and start its position at
the item in the source list) that moves to the target list.
3) Fade in the item in the target list.
Maybe others can chime in here and suggest alternative
methods.

A iPhone 4S (currently in possession of it) was dropped into the ocean and we can get it into DFU and recovery mode, but we can't get it to go to the lock screen or home screen the phone just gets stuck on the apple symbol, how can I fix this?

Hey, apparently this iPhone 4S was dropped into the ocean and the light for the camera and a light where the 3G/4G bar is are both glowing. The iPhone 4S, I assume, was on iOS 5.1.1 I need help getting off info from it WITHOUT RESTORING IT. I'm not sure if Apple has any third party apps that they are allowed to suggest to us or if I'm on my own on this one, but if you guys can help I would greatly apperciate it.

Those are definitely features of liquid damage. First step after completely drying the iPhone would be battery replacement. The camera circuitry and proximity sensor circuitry are surging because you are seeing these lights.
New battery may get this booted back up so you can recover data, or even get the iPhone working again.

After Effects CC 2014.2 Freezing and getting "After Effects[717]: -[NSMenu menuID]: unrecognized selector sent to instance" messages

I’m having this same issue- it’s not crashing constantly but definitely freezes or chugs slowly along.

Hmmm.
This thread seemed to find a solution, but you're not going to like it...
I'd recommend being as aggressive as you can with other solutions first, such as fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications on the off chance that they help.
This thread on App Nap causing issues would also be worth a look.

Yes, you can save a query in one package and then move it into another package and transport the query with new package.
There are two ways...
1. You can change the package assignment from one to another with the same request and transport the objects with request assigned to the new package.
2. You can create a new request and assign the new request to new package and transport the new request with new package assignment.
For first one, follow below process...
Changing the assignment:
       1.      Choose Package in the toolbar of screen area Collected Objects in RSA1 --> Transport Connection.
The Select Objects for Changing package dialog box appears.
       2.      Select the objects whose package assignment you want to change.
This procedure is especially useful for changing all collected objects, or a large number of them. For this reason, all indicators are set by default. Remove the indicators for individual objects where necessary.
Note: You can only use Details to display the details for an individual object when this is the only object that is selected.
       3.      Choose Copy. The Change Object Directory Entry dialog box appears.
       4.      Enter the new package.
For second one, you need to add the query in the transport organiser and assign new request and transport package and then go for transport. But this will create two requests on the same query. So, don't go for this. First step is preferable.

Manually manage songs and drag songs from library into ipod

I always use manually manage songs in itunes. Everything used to work fine until yesterday. I convert a cd into the library, and afterwards drag the songs into the ipod. now when i try to drag anything from the library nothing happens, and I dont get any error messages. Any help would be appreciated.

Png files placed into PS CC don't honour effects

G'day,
I am totally lost on this one and can't for the life of me work it out.
I'm creating graphics in IDCC which are then exported out as png files to be placed into PS CC, the problem occurs when some placed images have opacity effects within them and when the png file is created in ID, exported and placed into PS all effects are no longer honoured. For example a graphic created in AI may have a translucent shadow, placed into ID it is honoured, but then exported out as a png file and placed into PS that effect is no longer honored.
Have I missed something on the process? Time and speed and greater flexibility means it's more efficent to create from ID and export to PS, so please don't suggest alternatives as that doesn't answer the question.
To demonstrate the problem I've attached 3 files:
• a screen shot from ID;
• the png file;
and
• how that png file looks placed into PS.
Why, when exporting the selected graphic elements as a .png file is it not honouring the effects, when they are honoured in ID?

Thanks for the reply. That might be so, but that brings up the really confusing issue where a placed Illustrator CC file into ID CC has elements with transparency effects - when exporting it with other elements as a png, some transparency will be retained and others will be dropped.
An example:
The files (AI) placed into ID. The files naturally and correctly show with transparency etc. that have been applied to them in their native file, e.g the glass beaker which has multiple transparency effects.
The png...
Place the above png file into PS and it retains some of the transpancey from its native AI file and forgets about others.
which shows correctly, but place that into PS and the shadow e.g. beneath the beaker with its transparency effect is forgotten altogether and other parts retain their transparancey. But why?
So the claim that Adobe programmes have total integration across workflows etc. is not true or there is a bug? If it's neither and there's an answer I'd love to know.

Message was edited by: BrandHOUSE. The file has no layers, but it does have shadows created and applied in ID, and these are carried over into the png when exporting it. So a png does carry effects etc.

Bringing the footage and the Comp from Photoshop into After Effects.

hay guys I am running After Effects CC on Maverick OS and I have a Compositon in Photoshop that has video in it and it works perfectly but when i try to bring in the Comp to after effects, it only give me a still frame of the video footage and not the whole Comp. Then after it imports it gives me an error that my Quicktime is not up to date however it is the latest one is there a work around? thanks Best wishes, Ivey

AE does no longer support PS video. This feature has been removed due to technical issues. You have to render the video from PS to a clip or image sequence and import that into AE.
