Difference between release for Transport and Export

can anybody tell me the difference between the release for Transport of a change list and the Export Design Object ? When a change list is released is it not possible to select File System as mode or CMS ?

These relate to how your transport system is configured.
If you use FTP you cannot release for transport, and if you have CMS, I don;t beleive you can FTP.

The status of the task list determines in which other application areas the respective task list may be used.
Release for costing: means that the task list can be used to calculate costs in Transaction IA16 i.e. the costs for the task list operations would be calculated if released for costing status is set.
Release for use in the order: Released for Order means that you can use the task list in an order i.e. you could include operations from a task list in an order.

Just a quick question: can we have an official position from Sun regarding support of earlier releases of Solaris with Java RTS 2.1? Our customer is currently running Solaris 10 Update 3 with current Recommended patches, and the 2.1 beta cyclic driver supported this version of Solaris. However with the official release version of 2.1, support for U3 disappeared (only U4 and U5 are now supported). Aside from "rubber stamping" the Solaris build via /etc/release, is there a technical reason why U3 is no longer supported? As long as our kernel is up to date, can we safely use 2.1? Or is it just a case of being unable to officially support and test so many releases of Solaris?
Is this a general rule-of-thumb we can expect in future: only supporting the last 2 updates of Solaris 10?

Goto service.sap.com -> software download -> sap support packages -> Entry by application group -> Sap Frontend components -> SAP GUI for windows
In SAP Frontend components you have patches for BI add-on too.

Hello Gurus,
Could anybody help on the below requirement?
Is it possible to run a report that would list invoices that were released for payment that had had a block on them?? Example: an invoice is waiting on a goods receipt and it is posted. Once the receipt is posted the Invoice Exception Analyst release the block on MRBR. Is there a report that we can run to show what was released on any certain day or period??

Here drop the list by clicking the button near origin n status...here tick on the manually accepted button...
Then in the main window itself click on the posted as invoice status....Enter the date as posting date and execute...it will show you the list...

API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement

I need to know if Oracle provides a standard API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement.
I tried using the release_num field in PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE. But this is not working.
I'm able to create the blanket purchase agreement using the open interfaces, but not the releases.

Hi Alister,
You can't create a release of a BPA through API, there is no such APIs provided by oracle.
Where as you can create a BPA by using API. You need to dump/poplulate data in PO_headers_interface & PO_Lines_intreface table.. Then use Purchasing Documents Open Interface API to create a BPA.

Fields : FRGKE,FRGZU.
You can get release date of PO from CDHDR table.
give object value as your po number and check.dont forget to give leading zeros.
The udate will be date field and transaction will be me29n for relaesed po.

Cancel the Release for PO & PR

Hi
Once PR or PO released and follow on documents are processed then release can not be cancelled .
If PR is released and Po has created , the PR release can not be reversed .
Similarly If PO released and GR has taken for that PO then release can not be cancelled .
How can I achieve this ?
Actually system allows to cancell the release even after follow on documents are processed . I obseved it in our system . Our head of Dept Released one PO and GR was taken , but afterwards he cancelled that release
Similarly If there is two step release ( R1 and R2 ) and PO was release by both . After R2 released the PO then person R1 should not able to change the PO or Cancel his release
Is there any solution to restrict such situation ? Please provide complete solution

you can set the release status as not changeble for release indicator " Changeability of Purchasing Document During/After Release " and set the release indicator in release strategies,
