• Get a test credit card for testing purposes?

Hi everyone,
this is Robin from Germany. I work for HUGO BOSS and I currently evaluate Apple Pay for our company-owned stores. We are thinking of upgrading our stores with NFC POS Terminals in order to accept Apple Pay.
Unfortunately, since our departement is located in Germany we were not able to get a credit card which is working with Apple Pay.
Is there any possibility to get one for testing purposes?
Would help a lot.
Best regards,
Robin

As Apple Pay is only in the U.S. right now, why not deal with the Hugo Boss folks in the U.S. to do the testing? I found this on the hugoboss.com site:

Lots to be excited about. BUT...Just updated to 8.1 on one of my computers to test it out...
Sadly, the following issue is NOT fixed for me. Is it with new projects only? I haven't started a new project on 8.1 I've only opened an old project but the issue that I'm referring to which involves also a delay/freeze of anywhere from a few seconds to a MINUTE while the render bar goes from yellow to red and then back to yellow is still there. Boo.
On the list above...
Switching between sequences can turn the render bar red.
This issue is incredibly easy to replicate. I really do hope it gets fixed. Here are the steps:
1) Create two sequences with multiple short clips (the more clips the better)
2) Make sure GPU acceleration is enabled.
3) Add warp stabilizer to the clips in both sequences. Again, the more clips the longer the delay/freeze will be as the render bar goes from YELLOW to RED and then eventually back to YELLOW again.
4) Hit SAVE.
5) Now, toggle between sequences. You'll hit a short delay with a few clips stabilized and a LONG delay with lots stabilized. In my case this delay is around a full minute. The render bar will go from YELLOW to RED and then back to yellow...eventually.
6) Toggle back to the original sequence and the delay occurs again.
7) Once you've toggled between sequences and have gone through this delay, that's it, there is no longer a delay...UNTIL...(and here's the big kicker)...until the project is SAVED again. After that the issue returns when you toggle between sequences. Both saving manually and AUTOSAVING cause this issue. No way around it except not editing with GPU acceleration.
Not sure what the issue is...caching issue when saving maybe? Either way, it stinks and it's still there in 8.1. Big bummer.
Again, lots to be excited about with this release but I really was hopefully this specific issue was resolved.
Sigh.

• Expected/Actual values in test runner

Hey,
I've added public test functions to my classes like:
[Test]
public function basicTest():void
Assert.assertEquals("Test is 5 == 5", 5, 5);
and a test suite takes this class as a variable.
[Suite]
[RunWith("org.flexunit.runners.Suite")]
public class ModulesTestSuite {
public var t1:MyClass;
I use this mxml to run the tests:
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
creationComplete="runMe()" xmlns:flexUnitUIRunner="http://www.adobe.com/2009/flexUnitUIRunner"
styleName="flexUnitApplication" >
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import org.flexunit.runner.notification.async.XMLListener;
import org.flexunit.listeners.UIListener;
import org.flexunit.runner.Request;
import org.flexunit.runner.FlexUnitCore;
private var core:FlexUnitCore;
public function runMe():void {
core = new FlexUnitCore();
core.addListener( new UIListener( uiListener ));
core.run(ModulesTestSuite);
But, when the test runner runs the tests, it categorized them as empty tests and shows blank for expected and actual values. Whereas clearly i've entered '5' for both. The tests complete successfully though.
Could you please elaborate on what are empty tests and how to pass expected value/ actual value data that will display in the test runner UI.
Thanks,
Prannay

This is mostly UI confusion right now. We are using the FlexUnit1 test runner during the alpha and beta and have not yet customized it well for our needs.
FlexUnit1 did assertion counting, meaning it knew how many times you made assertions in each method. Right now FlexUnit 4 does not do this, so it believes this test is empty because it doesn't know that you made an assertion.
This will be fixed in the next release bits, but for now, just look at failed tests or tests that succeeded and try to ignore the empty ones.
If you change your test to assert that 5 is equal to 6 ( and all is working right) I am guessing you will see a failure, which is just a way to prove all is running fine.

• Test Script/case for checking Securities in SAP BW-7.3

Hi All,
Please test script/case for testing securities/authorizations in BW-7.3 after upgrade.
Basically we have upgraded from BW-3.5 to BW-7.3 and as securities concepts got changes we need to test for the same.
Thanks.
Regards,
Manju

hi,
one more thing i will like to add here is in BW 7.3 you get a new security admin feature that allows you to make mass changes to authorizations instead of one-by-one. This can be done by cut-and-paste in a worklist, hierarchy nodes, and you can also add users to multiple analysis authorizations.
The u2018newu2019 authorizations has both the data value and hierarchy restrictions. You can still build using the u201CRSECADMINu201D transaction
Also make sure that all objects are in the TLIBG library and they will be 'shielded' during the upgrade.
regards

• Sap license keys for Test Landscape

Hi,
Sap R/3 Enterprise - 4.70
We have created a test Sap Landscape for testing Backup & Recovery. We are experiencing licensing issue when trying to log onto the test Landscape because the hardware key has changed.
We have raised calls with Sap, but as yet have not provided a working solution.
What would happen if I generated a new license on Sap Market Place for the test hardware as a temporary Measure?
Would it cause problems with our Production systems, because the license key on Sap Market place would not match the one installed on our productiion system?

Thanks for your advise, but my Sid is the same. We have build a full test landscape, on a different network. I have tried to create a new license on Sap Market place, but this is not possible. I have rang the Sap Help desk - only to be told that I must create a customer message, which I have, but after 3 weeks of trying they still have not found a solution.
I was just wondering what problems I would have if I changed my Live details on Sap marketplace to the test machine details - just so that I can generate a new license key, and then change it back. Don't know what implications this would have?
Regards
Vickie

Added missing override for maxHeight to push maxHeight down to RichEditableText. If RichEditable text is scrolling make sure to always compose with a composer so that we get consistent results. The factory and the composer produce slightly different results which confuses the scroller. If the component doesn't have focus there is not necessarily a composer. It is possible that with this fix adjustContentBoundsForScroller() is no longer needed but leave it in for now.

Long time ago it was also necessary for me. Somewhere I have found one "undocumented" method, so it was possible to compare VIs "programmatically".
May be it helps for you as well. Disclaimer - use it at your own risk.

Many thanks for the fast reply.
I've got a follow up question.
What will happen if I modify the reconnect Code in the OSMF Netloader Class as recommended and then load multiple third party OSMF plugins,
which may have included the origin OSMF version of the Netloader class.
Which one will be used at runtime?

Hi Marius,
I think this problem could be linked to the changes in the layout API and the order of the loading of the video elements.
Please try to add layoutmetadata with index property to parallel videos so they render in the correct order, something like:
var layout1:LayoutMetadata = new LayoutMetadata();
layout1.index= 10 ;
videoElement.addMetadata(LayoutMetadata.LAYOUT_NAMESPACE, layout1);
var layout2:LayoutMetadata = new LayoutMetadata();
layout2.index= 20 ;
vpaidNonLinear.addMetadata(LayoutMetadata.LAYOUT_NAMESPACE, layout2);
Tell me if that worked,
S.
