Hi,
You can not use SDK 4.1 in flex builder 3. You need to purchase Flash Builder 4 or use free SDK 4.1 in eclipse.

  • Hide or remove player's hover text

When a user clicks the CC button during playback to open closed captions window, and then hovers the cursor over a button on the player bar (my player bar is centered on the bottom, directly below the captions window), the hover text for each button is partially hidden behind the closed caption window. (See below...) Can I somehow remove the hover text, or have it display on top of the caption window?

LOL - I'll complete what Michael's sentence should finish with.
You can remove the hover texts alltogether by editing the playbar in Flash if you have that installed on your machine.
... and you know how to use it.
    Cheers... Rick

  • FP update completely removes player from computers

I am posting this as a complaint about how the Flash Player automatic updater is working. I am in IT support in an enterprise environment. We have been getting multiple help requests recently about users not having flash player on their computer. What seems to be happening is they are getting the prompt about a player update being available, so they are selecting it. The updater is removing the current version before it checks whether the user has admin rights to install the new one. The result is not having flash at all on the computer. Please correct the updater process to check the users rights BEFORE removing the existing install.
Also, I would appreciate tips on disabling the notification of flash player updates for users.
    Thanks!

This is a user-to-user forum; enhancement requests or bug reports should be filed at https://bugs.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Update notifications can be disabled in the Flash Player settings, or in a mms.cfg file (see http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html).

  • Exception when removing player component running on Ubuntu Linux

    Hi,
when I remove the player component from the GUI, I get the following exception on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 (Unity).
The project started 10 years ago and was running without any problems on windows, Mac, Linux.
I didn't test it on other linux distributions or desktop environments.
Catching the exception helps but this is somewhat ugly....
I'm using JMF 2.1.1e, Cross Platform Version.
    On win7/8 no problems.
    Any ideas?
    TIA

I too am having this problem. On all of my linux distributions, including Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10, knoppix 5,1, fedora 8,9,10 flashplayer 10 is broken in the same way.  It reports that it cannot find webcam, and the settings dialog refuses to recognize mouse clicks.  I've poked around the web quite a bit and have not yet found a solution.  I saw the problem mentioned on an adobe bug reporting site and their response was to close the issue saying it wasn't repeatable on their system.  I tried to re-open it and my post was deleted without comment (I may have posted incorrectly or something)
Looking here  and elsewhere I see that the problem is very common and I don't see any posted bug-fixes, or even acknowledgement that a bug exists.  Has adobe lost interest in being cross-platform compatible?

Looking at the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , It appears hostname and port may be incorrect. Review the targets.xml under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\emd and
emoms.properties under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\config folder to make sure host ( sap_solman) and port (1527) are correct.
As far as setting the environment variables goes, you can go to control panel -> system -> advanced -> environment variables and set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID
