SVT Online Check in distributed model

Hello,
I have to implement SVT online check in distributed environment. i.e. I have a seperate ERP system and a new EHS system.
I am well aware of all configurations and BADI implementations for SVT online check.
My question is how can I do this in distributed systems where my sales/purchase order is in ERP system and EHS data in different system.
Any thoughts are welcome.

assuming that the "EHS" system is used as a "master data management" system to set up EHS data and that you have here as well the connection of EHS to MM then this option is the right way to go on:
a.) establish an EHS ALE scenario from SAP EHS system to SAP ERP system; to do so make sure that customizing is the same !
b.) replicate the MM, EHS data using ALE scenario. You need to replicate the specifications and phrases so that both data "container" are available in SAP ERP
In SAP ERP you can then go on with SAP EHS SVT implementation steps. Make sure that no ! data is maintained in SAP ERP in the EHS submodule or you will get conflicts
As you don't need all of the SAP EHS data in SAP ERP you can reduce the amount of data transferred in ALE Scenario so that on SAP ERP side you would use a reduced SAP EHS set up
The topic of establishing ALE scenarios have been discussed here rarely. may be check SAP EHS Management for Beginners: You will find some links to such threads.
Your scenario is not unknown but used very often.

Federation/Distributed Model for SAP PI

Hello Folks,
To begin with this is in reference to an insightful blog by Niki Scaglione - Decentral Adapter Engine is Mandatory!
We have been planning to consider having a distributed model i.e to have our central instance (PI 7.3 dual stack) running along with a decoupled AEX.
We wanted to run some specific interfaces that are critical to the business and also extract high performance from the decentral AEX. In short, decouple the critical interfaces (run on AEX) from all other interfaces (Central).
So this brings me to the below questions;
1. If we use a decentralized AEX, does this mean we will lose out on central monitoring? We definitely dont want to open two URLs to monitor PI.
2. If we have to reap the benefits of performance improvement, do we really need to install the AEX as a separate host? What does that mean overall? Again, we dont want the instances to run independent of each other i.e once again the emphasis is to have a single monitoring access.
Do share your thoughts on how you see this architecture.

Currently in my landscape we are running all banking and business critical interfaces and huge file size interfaces on Non Central Adapter Engine.Load on central AE reduces and performance increased.

Ans : We have to use two URLs for Channel/monitoring however on same host.Currently in my landscape we do monitor channels in both central AE and NCAE

Ans : If you don't want to run independent of each other then your AEX for load balancing/performance will be on same host which your Central adapter engine runs.

Can't execute command - drive didn't come online; check configuration/hardw

I have a Scalar i500 on a Linux host attached via fiber channel. I have everything working accept automounting the drive. I can't seem to get it working.
I can use the web interface of the i500 and then put a tape in the drive. I can then mount the drive from Secure Backup and run a back up just fine. Yet, I can't run a backup without a tape mounted. If I choose "Load Volume (Drive).... I get the error "can't execute command - drive didn't come online; check configuration/hardware"
I can inventory the library and do just about anything except automount the drives. I run a verify and the configuration comes back clean with no errors. I have tried using the SCSI params in the obl0 and obt0 ,and obt2 with no success. I have tried using the raw /dev/sg paths with no success. Same error.
This is a upgraded installation from 10.1 to 10.3. I have tried doing a clean install with same issue. I have restored the installation and then run a upgrade with the same issue.
I am stuck. Please help :)

It appears you may have the DTE's swapped.
Swap the DTE #'s assigned to the drive device objects and try again. This could happen during an upgrade if you reassigned scsi settings and the obt0 and obt1 devices swapped scsi settings from when they ran things last.

Exchange upgraded for Infinity, but online checker...

Hi all,
not sure how simple this question is, but I'll ask it anyway as the online live chat with BT doesn't garner any useful info - they probably don't have it readily available.
I live in Fair Oak, and the exchange here, as well as Eastleigh, have been enabled for Infinity. Eastleigh is 2 miles down the road. My parents live in Eastleigh and they are able to get Infinity, but I'm not. The online checker states that it isn't rolled our here yet, but I know that Fair Oak exchange has been upgraded (again, another BT online checker states it has been completed already - as has Eastleigh)
My question is this; how long after an exchange is upgraded are all numbers migrated to use the Infinity service?

Though, it's just a matter of commonsense but mistake is mistake and that is also on a reputed forum site like of Nokia.
Please arrange to correct info given at "Check Your Phone Model" link. As it suggest to remove Battery and then Model Number. I am sure there will be manu handsets like N8 this method does not apply.

No. Not to check by IMEI. I can only assume that you bought a gray market phone.
Apple DOES have a service where you can check the serial number and it will tell you if it's in warranty and when the warranty ends.

Do not ignore this... it's malware, not a virus. Even if you didn't click on anything, make sure your Mac is free of malware.

Unable to Distribute Model View in BD64

Hi Gurus,
Model View - SR2CLNT251
Receiver of Model View - EA1CLNT251
i went to txcode bd64 > i clicked on model view SR2CLNT251 then went to edit > model view > distribute and clicking the logical system of EA1CLNT251. then error will be encountered.
Model view SR2CLNT251 has not been updated
Reason: No authorization to change model view SR2CLNT251
.....authorization object B_ALE_MODL
.....Parameter: activity 02, model view SR2CLNT251
i already given correct authorization to my ID, but still the error persists.

You need authorization for authorization object 'B_ALE_MODL' in system I guess either in system SR2CLNT251 or in EA1CLNT251.

Hi,
no it will not set the version to 0. It will increase the version just like a normal check in.
A similar issue was reported to our support and it turns out that there is an issue with the toolsbus software which creates circular dependencies between two models.
It was resolved by moving all objects into one model and fix / remove the wrong dependencies.

ALE error in distributing model view

Hi all,
I have one client & two logical systems ,ihave generated the partner profile successfully , but when i try to distribute the model view i get the error message :
Model view is not been updated.
Reason:distribution model is currently being processed.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Boarding pass from online check in with Monarch will not print properly

when checking in online with Monarch.co.uk the boarding pass comes up in a new window with a "Print now" button. Using this the print produced cuts off the right margin and extends onto two pages even though the printer is control page is set to "shrink to fit". The firefox window generated does not have any file commands attached so I cannot use print preview etc. In the end I have had to use Internet Explorer where I could right click on the window and get a print preview command but this is not available on firefox.
