Go to Solution.

Not sure what you mean by 'it does not respond' .. Its NOT showing any availability of update or just freezes ?
Re-install should be possible thru' the option as seen in the attachment ..

  • Updating problems wit Nokia Suite 3.2.100

    Hi people.
My current firmware on the phone is: 200.21.012, RM-450, Nokia E63-3 (253.05)
Nokia Suite tells me there is an update for this phone but when i get to the stage of: 'Preparing to download'
    It says:
    Something's gone wrong.
There was a problem with Nokia suite. Please restart the program and try again. If the problem doesn't go away, uinstall Nokia Suite and download the latest version of the app from www.nokia.com/ovisuite. Error code: 12017
Anyway this is the latest version (currently available)
I have uninstalled it throughly removing EVERYTHING containing to word 'Nokia' from the registry.
Yet still i am getting this error.
Have already tried this method too:
    http://europe.nokia.com/search?qt=12017&np=other,products,services&cat=support&fullcontent=true&cnt=...
    No luck!
Is anyone able to help me?
    Thanks.

I finally have had my e63-3 RM450 product code (0583677 - Three Network Australia) updated from 200.21.012 (253.05) to system 411.21.001 (253.07). This was done at the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne under warranty .
I was unable to upgrade using Nokia Suite 3.2 - even though it identified the correct 411.21.001 update as required. Nokia Suite mis-identified the phone as an RM-437 rather than an RM-450. I supplied the logs to Nokia Suite feedback and noted that I had SIM unlocked the phone from the Three Network.  Nokia Suite feedback's  response was to accuse me of flashing the phone with a new product code as part of the unlocking process - thus causing Nokia Suite to confuse the RM450 with a RM 437. In response I advised them that the phone had been unlocked using a code supplied by the Network operator Three/Vodafone Australia. I then attended the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne to ensure that the phone carried the product code on the sticker - which it did. I provided the Nokia Care Centre with the email correspondence with Nokia Suite Feedback and the Melbourne team agreed to update the software under warranty.
There are later software updates available for the Nokia e63-3 - but these do not yet have Three/Vodafone Australia authorisation. That is an argument to take up with the Network owner who controls the authorisation of firmware updates for product code 0583677.
I note that the latest Nokia Suite 3.3.86 still misidentifies the phone as an RM437 instead of an RM 450.
On a final note - once updated to 411.21.001 - Skype would no longer automatically install from the website - it simply said Skype  was not available for this handset. However, manual installation of  Skype 1.5 was possible using the non-touch version for Symbian and works well.
Nokia Suite continues to have a problem with this model of phone.
For the record and anyone else who has this problem.

  • Reinstalling Belle - The Nokia Suite update servic...

I have a C6-01 I used before getting a Lumia and I want to give it to someone else. Before doing so, I wanted to reinstall Nokia Belle to remove everything I had on the phone's memory and to give the phone away with a fresh installation of the OS.
The problem is that when I go to Software Update in Nokia Suite and click reinstall, Nokia Suite downloads 170MB out of the ~320MB that Nokia Belle has and then says "The Nokia Suite update service is currently unavailable." I've already tried this on two PCs, both running the latest version of Nokia Suite. I reinstalled the OS once before about a year ago and it worked just fine. Any ideas about why this might be happening and what I can do to solve it? I've looked around and found a lot of other people who have had this problem over the years but I haven't managed to find a way to get through it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I just tried using Nokia Software Recovery Tool. It recognizes my phone and immediately after I click Install and the download progress bar appears, it says something went wrong ("There was an error. Please try again. Error code: InternalError.")
Is there anything else I can try?
Edit: I also tried using Nokia Software Updater for Retail and the same thing happens. Then I tried using Nokia Care to download the firmware and it still doesn't work. It finds it, says it has 320MB, and when I click download, it just says it's been queued for download and that's it, nothing else happens.

  • Problem with Nokia suite

I recently updated my Nokia Suite and later did a software update on my Nokia C3-00 to version 08.65. After the sw update I could not access my Nokia suite anymore. It gives an error message "conflicting applications. show items?" What do I do

I think you're referring to Nokia Store instead.
Try hard resetting your phone if that helps otherwise reinstall the phone software using Nokia Suite.

  • Problem with Nokia Suite updating e71 firmware

I had to do a hard reset on my e71 and now I'm trying to update the 400.21.013 firmware from Nokia suite, but an error occurs. It says that I need to disconnect the phone and try again. Then it says that if that doesn't work, to reinstall Nokia suite. I have done this with no succes and still getting the same error message. What can I do to update the firmware? Also is it possible to update to one of the earlier firmwares that is no longer listed currently on the support site?? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

    @dudersup
Have you tried using NSU? I can't guarantee if it'll work, it's a known issue now that the Suite is giving some users, including myself, a hard time in updating software.
Also try older versions of Ovi Suite, could possibly work.
Hope you get your phone back up and running.

    postbantania,
    Welcome to Nokia Discussions!
This error code usually appears if the .NET framework components are missing or corrupted.
    To fix this:
    1. Go to Start> Control Panel
    2. Click Programs and Features> Uninstall a program
3 . Uninstall the following present installations of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
    4. Restart the computer and log back.
    5. Download the latest .NET Framework installer here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 and get the earlier version if you have programs that are dependent on old .NET versions http://www.microsoft.com/net/download/earlier-versions and install.
    6. Restart the computer, re-install Nokia Suite.
    Good luck

  • Problems with Nokia Suite maps (phone N8)

I'm leaving for a world around tour, which includes many countries. I'm trying to download the worldmap to my N8 memory using Nokia Suite. It starts downloading fine and data seems to move in17 mbits (my adsl max).  After a while it stops and Nokia Suite says "You seem to be offline."(translaed from finnish). And then it gives me option to try again. When i click it, it starts downloading, but from the beginning. I've tried this 5 times now and never get the download done?  I've tried this with my laptop(wifi +win 7) and with my desktop(lan +win 8) and both work the same. Also tried USB and Bluetooth connections.
Anyone else experiencing this. What do you suggest me do?
I've done this before with success, but afterwards I removed the worldmap from the phone.

  • Problem with Nokia Suite 3.2.100 / PC Suite back ?

    Hi
I sync some S^3 Smartphones with some Pcs
unfortunately I get a lot of doubles in contacts.
I did not get it in the past with PC Suite.
There were rumors the PC Suite comes back to solve the problems ovi suite brought.
    Somebody know more?
Still miss the stable syncing and the the Calendar of PC Suite.

Solved. I updated the driver for the bluetooth stack. The driver was not found on the computer manufacturer's site. I had to hunt it down on the Internet. The drivers themselves are WHQL/Win7 certified.

  • N8 with Anna can connect to nokia suit but no cont...

Hi! I'm a N8 user with symbian anna installed. Since I updated to Anna and nokia suit (not sure), my message and contact syncrhronization takes for a very long time and in the end, it produced no result. In other words, no messages and contacts are transferred from the phone to nokia suite. No error is occured. The phone is connected. Can anyone tell me what's the solution? Thanks for spending time reading it. Have a nice day!

It seems a problem with Nokia suite. I'd suggest reinstalling Nokia suite before looking at the phone. Also, if you have a second PC available, try it on there. This is assuming your phone is working well?

    Hello,
I have question about Nokia Suite:
in old Nokia PC Suite, I could sync contacts, also I was able to copy that contacts in VCF format   anyware i wanted (same for SMS), but, in Nokia Suite I have no such option, is it possible to do this? (copy contacts separated?) , or how can I save my data (conatcts and SMS) stored in Nokia Suite when reinstalling windows?
    Nokia Suite version 3.3.86
    OS: Windows 7 64bit
    Thanks

    Hi gio_kiborg,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting!
Nokia Suite, when running on a Windows 7 system, will sync contacts to the Windows contacts list if selected in Tools/Options/contacts 'Sync with contacts application' 'Windows Contacts'' . When you have synchronized your contacts go to 'Start' and enter 'contacts' in the search field. This will open your contact list. You will see the synced contacts there. From here you can select 'Export' From the windows menu and export to either a Comma Separated Value (.csv) textfile or vCards.
In Nokia Suite when you go to the Messages screen and select 'Conversations' you will be able to export messages through 'File>Export all messages'.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on!

  • Nokia Suite 3.8 does not recognize my 6233 with bl...

    Hello
Last year I had made some pictures with my Nokia 6233 and I transferred those pictures via Nokia Suite to my PC. Since then I had a couple of updates installed for the Nokia Suite and now I have the latest version on my PC.
But the newest version does no longer see my Nokia 6233.
    Anybody an idea ?
    Nel

I already uninstalled the Nokia Suite and the cable driver software and cleand the register (W7) on Nokia stuff.
Then I re-installed the nokia Suite but that didn't help. I don't have an USB cable at all.
It worked fine with bluetooth a year ago without problems. Nokia Suite doesn't recognize the phone at all, while my Blackberry Playbook bluetooth does recognize the phone and displays its name, although BB will only allow transfers with a BB phone.
So the phone's bluetooth is working correctly I think
    regards
    Nel
