SW52.0.007 for Nokia5800 not release by Ovi Suite ...

I noticed that SW52.0.007 already available for Nokia 5800 XM, but when i connect to Ovi suite(v.2.2.1.23) ...the Update doesn't detect and show SW52.0.007 available?
Anyone have same problem? and kindly give suggestion.

If sometimes the sw update does not work with Nokia Ovi suite, you can check the availability of the SW update here.
Please be familiar and if new sw available, you should download and install the SW update application on your PC.

Can you try :
Control Panel--> Right click and Programs and Features or add/remove programs "Repair" Nokia Ovi Suite.
Go to
Control Panel--> Programs and Features or add/remove programs - > Right click and "Repair" Nokia Connectivity cable driver & PC Connectivity solution.
If it does not help:
Uninstall the following Programs,from Control Panel -> Programs and Features or Add or Remove Programs.
Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
Nokia Ovi Suite
PC Connectivity Solution
Later download and install the latest OVi Suite from the Nokia.com/support.
After OVi Suite installation, restart your PC, disconnect your internet from PC and connect your mobile to the PC. This is to prevent the PC searching for a new drivers from internet. OVi suite has all the required drivers for all the nokia phones available in market.
Once all the required drivers are installed automatically, you try connecting the mobile by selecting 'Connect your device' from the bottom left on the OVi suite screen. You should be able to connect your device now.

Nokia 5230 will not pair woth ovi-suite

My new nokia 5230 will not pair with ovi-suite. Ovie suite finds it in its search for devices, but when it asks me to put the random code into my phone, nothing comes up on my phone and within a second or two ovi-suite tells me pairing has failed. My bluetooth is definately on and visible to all and the ovi suite is the latest version (and my phone is definately on the list as compatible) All software is updated on my phone as well. Thanks!

Which operating system do u use?
Which firmware version do you have in your mobile? ( *#0000# will reveal the details)
Is the cable connection working fine?
Which version of OVI suite you use?
Go to OVI suite -> help -> About nokia OVI suite -> System information. Paste the information...

I think you could check table VBRK for the field: RFBSK(Status for transfer to accounting).
The different value of this field means like following:
     Error in Accounting Interface
A     Billing document blocked for forwarding to FI
B     Posting document not created (account determ.error)
C     Posting document has been created
D     Billing document is not relevant for accounting
E     Billing Document Canceled
F     Posting document not created (pricing error)
G     Posting document not created (export data missing)
H     Posted via invoice list
I     Posted via invoice list (account determination error)

Oracle select for update: not releasing lock

My JDBC code uses "select for update" to modify record in Oracle database. I tried to simulate network connection down situation.
After my JDBC code locked on a record using "select for update", I unplugged the network cable. I then tried to run the same code on another computer, but it could not accquire the lock, because the previous lock was not released. I tried sqlplus to lock the record, but failed also. The lock has been there for at least an hour now. I guess it may finally be released, but is there a way for oracle to release the lock as soon as the connection is down? Not know if it is a JDBC setting or oracle setting.

What you are trying to do is not correct way of checking the concurrency and transaction.
The reason is as listed below.
01.Always remember http is a stateless protocol and removing the connection or just closing the browser will never be informed to the database or to the application server thus the transaction monitor (TM)or processor will never release the lock as it will deem that the actor is manipulating the data.
02.As per locking goes every database is having a �TM� and the default isolation level setting is different like oracle uses serializable DB2udb 7.0 or db2/As400 uses repeatable read. You can change this setting by editing the default setting in the database but be very sure before touching it.
03. You can also transpose this with your Application server setting for that piece of code or Globally but again be very sure about it as it will change the entire gamete.
04. For releasing lock you have to manually do it or you can change the settings of App server or the Database to release the connection after some wait time.

5230 will not sync with Ovi Suite

I recently factory reset my windows 7 laptop. Since the reset, my nokia 5230 will not synchronise with the Ovi Suite. I am using 2.2.1.23 of the Suite. When I click on sync, nothing happens, it just does nothing, contacts sync is even greyed out. I am connected via USB cable or Bluetooth but it is the same issue with both. It somehow manages to show my sms messages without the sync.
One thing I have noticed, Windows 7 now does something different with my phone and it pops up and gives me Windows tasks to do from the 'Devices' part in control panel, this is not because I choose mass storage device when connecting. I choose PC Suite.
I have spent the last 3 hours searching google, these forums and hard resetting my phone to try solve the problem, but I cannot find a solution.
I have attached a snippet. Notice the icon next to the green Ovi one. It is the new thing that windows is showing that it NEVER showed before.
I am using 32 - bit windows 7.
Can anyone help?

Cud u pls confirm if u hav updated ur current version of Nokia Ovi Suite by manually uninstalling previous version?
Hav u enabled sync all option? If yes, read this forum for some work around, like instead of going for Sync all option, try to sync one application at a time(Give nokia ovi suite some 15 to 20 seconds) and thn chck, if it works?

5530 xpress not recognized by ovi suites 3

Dumb me took the update of the ovi suites for my pc and since then my 5530 is not recognized by the nokia program. cant syncronise anything. reinstalled 2 times did the nokia connectivity repair thing and the nokia usb connectivity thingy repair as well. I cant find a ovi suites 2.0 anywhere otherwise i would go back to 2.0 it worked fine.
any help from anyone that has solved this problem with ovi suites 3.0 would be welcome. Seems other nokias have similar problems ie ; N8

problem solved by deleting all nokia references and programs, reinstalled ovi and nokia pc suite 3.0 and drivers, then only plug in your phone via usb. Works fine now.

Hello, Ovi Suite no longer recognizes my Nokia 5230 since I switched to version 3.0.0.284.
Windows Vista and Nokia PC Suite recognizes it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Ovi suite but to no avail.

1. Here are the instructions for attaching log files:
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284
- Enable log gathering by double-clicking the enable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start enabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are enabled" dialogue
- Exit Nokia Ovi Suite from File - Exit. This is mandatory! Closing NOS to system tray is not enough!
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite again
- Try to reproduce the error you are reporting
- If the error still exists, double click the collect_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start collecting the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs collect & zip finished" dialogue
- Attach the NOS2_logs.zip file in C:\Temp\NOS2 folder and screenshots in the error reporting form
- Go to your %TEMP% folder, which can be found by entering %TEMP% to the Windows Explorer's address bar. Then search debug_log_date.txt in this folder, where date is the current date (or choose the latest one) and attach also this file in the error reporting form. The exact %TEMP% folder paths are:
In XP: C:\Documents and settings\your_username\LocalSettings\Temp\
In Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Temp\

N86 not connected to OVI Suit

I have just bought Nokia N86 8MP. I have installed OVI Suit on my laptop. But I amd not able to configure my phone with OVI suite.
After connecting my cell with my laptop I select PC Suit USB Mode from my cell phone. On the second step (Connect Device) of OVI Suite configuration the name of my phone is visible but when I select, A popup message is displayed that This device is not in PC Suite USB mode. And the 'Next' button is greyed out.
Anybody there to help me out.

I had similar problem with XpressMusic 5800 and Windows 7.
The solution for me was to update windows drivers by opening computer management --> Device Manager --> Portable devices --> Right click <Phone Name and Model> and select 'Update Driver Software' --> Click "Search automatically for Updated Driver Software".
Computer has to be connected to the Internet during the update process. That worked for me, I hope it helps

Windows 7 Calendar not recognized by Ovi suite

I have installed Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23 (is the latest) and installed Windows Calendar. However when going to Ovi -> Extra -> Opties -> Agenda en taken (I am using the Dutch version), it indicates that I have to install Windows Agenda or Microsoft Outlook. So it does not recognize Windows Calendar. How can I solve this problem?
I have seen previous messages about registry settings and compatability settings and tried them all without success...

There is a problem with Ovi with respect to office 2010 as well. Nokia is working with this issue, but is unknown (that is what I was told anyway) when a fix will come. Regarding my answer from a Nokia representative, I could not telle if this issue is with the N8 only, or with the Ovi against offfice 2010 in all.

my N8 will not connect to my notebook (asus n53sv with win7 home premium x64) via bluetooth using either pc suite or ovi suite but will pair directly to my notebook. both ovi suite and pc suite attempt to connect to the N8, but cannot authorise the connection. is there a solution available?

The iPhone 3G does not support this. Only the 3GS and up support internet tethering via Bluetooth.

Dispaly of the output message for the not released contract

Is there a possibility, for buyers (conract creators), to display an output message for the purchasing contract, which is subject to a release procedure, but has not been released yet. Acctually it is possible to do it in ME35K, by indicating the relevant release code and pressing "print preview" after executing the report. But it is not a way out, since buyers are not participating in release procedure and therefore do not have a releasecode.

DHCP and Pointers for Addresses Not Released

I was aksed to see if there could be anything to fix this:
Our DHCP hands out new IPs within a 24 hour period.
The Macs in our mixed environment ( 300 PCs, 52 Macs)
will get assigned an IP Address, and then keep it for the day, and in the morning release and get a new one at boot.
HOWEVER, according to the DHCP server, the IP address
still "points" to the Mac, and thus the DHCP server
thinks its in use.
Our IS department is convinced its a Mac problem,
and there has to be some way to make the Macs
release address, and tell the server its released
that address, so that the Server can re-assign
the address down the line.
I personally do not think so, I think it is something
on the DHCP server's end, but I'm not sure.
Any help on this or insight or general theorizing
would be helpful. I have also posted this over in

Backing up a bit - what is the actual problem leading
to this investigation? A DHCP server keeps a database
of pairings of IP addresses with MAC addresses (not
Macintosh addresses). It should automatically prevent
any MAC address from consuming more than one IP
address.
Most likely it is the fact that we have close to 400 total computers on site, and that we only have a limited available blocks
of IP addresses ( ranges 10.0.0.x, 10.0.1.x, and 10.0.2.x), and although at any given time not all 400 total computers
are on the network ( people out of house, some only go online
when necessary for updates etc), the fact that the DNS pointers keep saying that, for instance that an imac
on my desk is using 10.0.1.174, and that the DNS server is
saying that it should also be 10.0.1.146 ( which it had yesterday) as well as 10.0.1.174, but since the DNS server thinks
that 10.0.1.146 is still validily assigned, then it won't release this address, and thus on the PC side, they cannot
get the address 10.0.1.146, hich then causes a shortage of addresses.
I hope I explained that the best way possible; to me, it seems like it should be an easily fixed cache problem, if a cache exists for the DNS pointers, that it could be
regualrly dumped?
