Swap axis in proex reviewer?

How do I swap axis in 3D reviewer? I've tried several ways but when I import from Proe it always has wrong axis up.

Hello,
In 3D Reviewer Go to Preferences / Views Management and chage the Standards views.
Your CAD file will be imported accordingly to these settings...
Hope it helps

  • Tachometer in WAD 3.5x - to show Avg of all values in the Data provider

    Hi All,
    I am creating a tachometer in WAD 3.5x.
    Actually the requirement for the tachometer i want to design is that it should display the Average value of the data column that is displayed in the dataprovider(which is a view in this case).
    My view (Data Provider for tachometer) contains only one data column, and its Result row contains the Average value for the data column. But when I run WAD, the tachometer doesnot read the result row, instead it reads each of the individual rows and creates a pointer for each record. Whereas as per my requirement, the tachometer should display only a single pointer depicting the average value of all records.
    I am trying to suppress all the single value rows and display only the result row in my view, am unable to do so.
    Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks

  • Query Drill Down without affecting the structure layout

    Hi All,
    We have a query which has structure both in Rows & Columns . When we drilldown ( WAD )  the drilldown characteristics goes within the structure . What i want is even we drilldown  the sturcture layout shoud not chnage .
    For example the structure is as below
                    2007   2008
    Revenue    100     200
    Cost          50       100
    Margin       50        100
    say we drill down by material , then i want the layout to be like this
    Material    0001                       2007   2008
                                 Revenue    50       100
                                 Cost          25       50
                                 Margin       25       50
    Material    0002
                                 Revenue    50     100
                                 Cost          25     50
                                 Margin       25     50
    currently we are getting
                           2007   2008
    Revenue
    Material 001     50       100
    Material 002     50        100
    Cost
    Material 001      25      50
    Material 002      25      50
    Margin
    Material 001      25     50
    Material 002      25     50
    We are currently in BW 3.5 version . Is there any settings in WAD or anywhere , by which the drilldown should not affect the structure layout. ( Please note i dont want to fix the drilldown in query  or swap axis during navigation to get the desired result ).
    Kind Regards
    Sudip

    Hi,
    For the example shown by you, does not require 2 structure, You can doing it using One structure.
    Consider the following in Rows and Columns:
    Rows:
    1. Material or other cahar and material in Free char.
    Columns:
    1. Fiscal Year
    2. Structure comprising the KFs Revenue, cost and Margin.
    Try this it should solve.

  • Combine Analysis with Design Studio

    Greetings,
    I know it's possible to export an Analsys Application from Analysis for OLAP. You can then open it in Design Studio to edit it.
    However, is it possible to "embed" an analysis in Design Studio?
    We would like to be able to swap the axis, drilldown, change the members, etc. and combine it with Design Studio layouts.
    If not, is there anything on the roadmap? This is preventing us to move from Bex WAD 3.x...

    Hi Nadim,
    with Design Studio and the scripting you are able to add so much functionality within your dashboards that I don't see that big gap between these two applications.
    For exampe: You can add a filter panel where you are not only able to set filter but additionaly chose which measures should be displayed and whether they will be added as columm or row.
    So it is possible within Design Studio to swap axis, change the members and do (little) drilldown.
    But for drilldown-functionality you will have to use scripting and it is indeed still not as good as in Analysis. So one of my wishes for a future release is to enhance the drilldown-functionality (without much scripting or using multiple data sources) like in Analysis.
    But you are right, DS is a tool to consume the data, many of these functionalities to analyse data have to be scripted which is some effort for each dashboard and every used query.
    Some more integrated analysis functionality would be great.
    (Maybe a better solution than to "embed" an anaylisis?)
    Nevertheless I would like to see some export/switch function to open a query in Analysis (for Office), too. You are able to integrate links to an external URL so why Design Studio is not able to add a link to the Analyis-Application?
    I know that some customers want to see their data in Excel, they would really appreciate the possibility to press a button to jump directly to Analysis for further survey of their data.

  • How to combine several measures into 1 pie chart

    Hello everyone,
    I have a requirement to create a design studio application with a pie chart to show several measures.
    It means that I have several different measures and I want to let each piece of the pie chart present 1 measure.
    For example, I need to combine measure1 ,measure2, measure3(which correspond KeyFigures in Bex query) into 1 pie chart and there should have 3 pieces.I tried change swap axis option and put all measures into row, not works.
    I am very appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks a lot.

    Hi !
    There is a tricky way to do that.
    Read the following document How to combine several measures into 1 Pie chart
    hope it helps,

  • Bex query- Dynamic selection of next 4 periods according to Month drilldown

    Dear All.
    I am working in BI 7.0.
    I want to do a report which shows Begining inventories and Forecast. The report will be drill down by Year/month which filters Begining inventory. For Forecast, I would liek to see 5 months of forecast in 5 different colums, starting from the month of begining inventory.
    As an example:
    Month     FORECAST1 FORECAST2 FORECAST3 FORECAST4 FORECAST5
    01.2009     01.2009     02.2009     03.2009     04.2009     05.2009
    02.2009     02.2009     03.2009     04.2009     05.2009     06.2009
    03.2009     03.2009     04.2009     05.2009     06.2009     07.2009
    04.2009     04.2009     05.2009     06.2009     07.2009     08.2009
    The colums month is the drill down of Year/Month characterisitic. The values on forecast represent the selection of period for each column for the forecast data.
    How could I build this? Is there any way to do this?
    Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Alfonso.

    This report is similar to YTD report I hope. But this will have to be done the hard way only. Why not consider like this..
    Your Existing Query O/p:
    >Month FORECAST1 FORECAST2 FORECAST3 FORECAST4 FORECAST5
    >01.2009 01.2009 02.2009 03.2009 04.2009 05.2009
    >02.2009 02.2009 03.2009 04.2009 05.2009 06.2009
    >03.2009 03.2009 04.2009 05.2009 06.2009 07.2009
    >04.2009 04.2009 05.2009 06.2009 07.2009 08.2009
    Trial Solution 1 : Considering you enter a particular Month-Year (say Jan 2009), you'll get the data like this, best way is to think in SWAP Axis approach. Helps when most reports looks terribly difficult to move on. Considering you create a 0CALMONTH varibale X, then you need to add X1, X2 and so on.
    O/p:
    >MonthForcst | 01.2009 | 02.2009 | 03.2009 | 04.2009 *** This can be done by using VARIABLES. Create 0CALMONTH Variables
    >FORECAST1 | 01.2009  | 02.2009 | 03.2009 | 04.2009  |
    >FORECAST2 | 02.2009 | 03.2009  | 04.2009  | 05.2009 |
    >FORECAST3 | 03.2009 | 04.2009  | 05.2009  | 06.2009 |
    >FORECAST4 | 04.2009 | 05.2009 | 06.2009 | 07.2009 |
    >FORECAST5 | 05.2009 | 06.2009 | 07.2009 | 08.2009|
    Trial Solution 2 : User Customer Exits. Design a exit which will populate each Month's data (Note: Here data is aggregated on basis of Month you have assigned). For particular HEADING (i.e. 'MonthForcst' you need, plan your variables by using multiple inputs for which all month you need.) If you need any help in Customer Exit for this kind of solution, I'll attach a sample code as here on request. This is the best way, as you can always transfer data through the exit.
    Example. If you want to select Apr`09, as month selection will vary through the year - You need to get the values for selected period to end of year. Then, design it so that choosing Apr`09, system will gather data for 2009 & based on availiablity of data it must populate the MONTHS/Forecast directly.

  • Creating Chart through WAD

    Hi,
    I am developing a chart throgh WAD for purchases against vendor.
    Here on X axis I want to assign Vendor & on Y axis I want to assign Purchase value against Vendor.
    Please let me know how to assign values for X axis & Y axis while developing a chart in WAD.
    Thanks,
    Pradip

    Hi Pradip,
    you need to give query as dataprovider to your chart.
    Create your query with Vendor and PO value KF. Use it in WAD as DP.
    Choose chart as per your requirement (Bar, Pie, lines etc).
    You can refine chart by right click on it and say edit...
    Check swap axis box on web item properties tab.
    Hope it helps...

  • Review of Griffin AutoPilot with iPod nano 4G

    Short version: it works. It charges the 4g iPod nano, the line-out works great, as do the pause/play, skip/scan forward/reverse controls and it pauses playback when you shut your car off!!
    Full review:
    Nothing on the package of the AutoPilot that I received from amazon.com ($30.85 shipped) indicates compatibility with the iPod nano 4G. Only 1G to 3G is listed. However, it works completely with the iPod nano 4G. So if you are buying this in store don't worry about what it says on the package. It works. However, don't buy it in store because in store it will probably be $50+tax. If you can stand the wait, buy it from Amazon for more than $20 less. But, hey, it's your money - do what you want!
    The AutoPilot comes with the adaptor and a short (about 3 foot) mini-jack audio patch cable. The cable isn't particularly thick, so if you require half-inch think audio cables this isn't for you. However, if you care about the sound quality instead of the thickness of the cable, this will do fine. ;^) I'm not using the audio cable because we have an audio input in our Matrix via an adaptor box installed behind the dash that has a cable already plugged into it, and changing the cable would involve taking the dash apart. It, incidentally, is thicker then the provide one. Thank goodness!
    The adaptor has a round pause/play button in the middle, surrounded by a glowing ring, and skip/scan back and forward controls as the outer ring on the left and right sides respectively. That is, the entire left side of the outer ring is back and entire right side of the outer ring is forward. Press and release to skip. Hold to scan. The controls work great and are easy to use blind, though, as I tested this tonight, the controls themselves are not lighted. Only the power ring around the pause/play button is lit. However that works fine once you know that inside the ring is pause/play and outside of the ring is skip/scan. I do have to say that the controls feel a little light to the touch, such that it could result in accidental track changes, though I haven't had it long enough to know if it's actually a problem and it didn't happen in my test.
    There is also a small switch that sets the adaptor's audio output to "Lo" or "Hi". I believe that the "Lo" setting is used with FM transmitters, but don't quote me on it. What I can tell you with certainty is that with a line-in input you are going to want to set it to "Hi", otherwise the output volume is too low and sound quality is poor (or perhaps just low volume - I didn't test it extensively). Switched to "Hi" the volume is good/normal. In my brief test I did not detect any static or clipping. The sound quality was excellent, or at least as excellent as my factory car stereo is capable of being. I used it both sitting with the car engine off, as well as driving around town. It performed flawlessly. Note that mine shipped with the switch set to "Lo" so you will want to check the setting of this switch.
    Another thing to note about this design is that if you have it right side up with "skip back" on the left, then the audio cable is coming out of the upper right corner. You probably won't want to flip it over to have it coming out the left side, as then the controls would be backward. Just something to keep in mind.
    Now for the killer feature that I was hoping for and the AutoPilot didn't fail me: when you shut off your car it pauses your iPod! I can't reiterate enough just how great that feature is. I have this on my (crappy) FM transmitter that I use in our other car and while that transmitter is pretty terrible, I live with it in part because of this feature, which is just really, really wonderful. Note that it works even though power gets shut off pretty instantly to the outlet. If you haven't had this feature before it is something you'll have to get use to because you are probably in the habit of immediately hitting the pause control on your iPod after powering off the car. If you do that with this gizmo you'll actually start it playing again! Trust me, though, you'll get use to it, and you'll like it - or else!
    When the adapter is receiving power and no iPod is connected, the light ring glows red. When you plug in an iPod that needs charging, it will slowly pulse a... err I'm forgetting the color (maybe a light blue???) It isn't overly bright, but it is pulsing. The slow pulsing doesn't bother me, but I imagine that there might be some for whom they'd wish it wouldn't pulse. When the iPod is fully charged it glows steadily (in theory - in my test I didn't have time for it to charge to full capacity.)
    The controls work well and I find them pretty handy because, unlike the attached iPod, these controls are always in the same place. How useful they are may depend on the location of your outlet. In our Matrix it's pretty perfectly located about midway up the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. They will prove even more useful for my iPod touch.
    Another thing worth noting is that this adapter eliminates the cable clutter that we had with our "SiK imp" solution. That (piece of junk) had both audio and power cables coming out of the dock connector. Moreover it had a short length of audio cable to which we had to plug the cable going into the car, and it wasn't infrequently the case the the audio cable got pulled out. With the AutoPilot the audio cable plugs into the adapter, and then a single cable leads from the adaptor to the iPod. This is a huge improvement. I was able to push almost all of the audio cable through the back of the cubby that we have it running out of, and so it pretty much has just disappeared. The AutoPilot is a big upgrade for us when it comes to cable clutter.
    One last thing. Shortly after testing the AutoPilot out I ended up turning of the "shake to shuffle" feature of the iPod. The nano is so light that I bumped the cable and the nano fell out of the cubby I had it sitting in and landed on the carpet. This resulted in triggering shake to shuffle and I ended up going from a great Bob Dylan album to a great, but not exactly what I wanted, Raffi tune. Ouch. What a completely useless new feature!

    Bonus item: in another thread someone complained that they couldn't connect a dock cable and a mini-jack audio cable to the new nano at the same time because it's such a tight fit. Well, I had this exact issue with the speakers we have in our bedroom. They are not iPod-specific, so I have a USB power adaptor and we use that to get power using a dock cable and plug in the speakers' audio cable to the headphone port. With the new nano we couldn't do this because the audio cable's jack was too fat and bumped up against the dock connector. Well, I noted in the review that I wasn't using the audio cable that was included with the AutoPilot and yesterday I noticed that its jack was quite thin, so I swapped it with the speaker's cable and, viola, now we can connect both a dock cable and the speakers to the headphone port at the same time. I like when I get more value out of a product then expected!

  • Payload swapping

    Hi
    I have a rek where in I have to swap the payload with the attachement file (which is also a xnl file).
    I am using the file-xi-soap scenario. After going through the SDN I have come across a pay load swap bean.  But in almost all the example's it was used with mail adapter. SAP help no where mentioned that this module is only for Mail adapter. When I try to implement the same in SOAP Adapater, it never detects this bean and it is immaterial for that in what way you configure that.
    If anybody have implemented/worked similar kind of scenario could you plz advise whether this payload swap bean works with soap adapter ?
    Thanks in advace
    kumar

    Hi,
    PayloadSwapBean doesn't work with SOAP sender adapter.
    For SOAP receiver adapter you can still use PayloadSwapBean or can use Axis SOAP Adapter.
    For more info on Axis SOAP Adapter refer

  • Error in moveDimension within a forEach for Swapping charts

    Hi All,
    I tried to implement what was done in the following blog (which is a great idea) but it works perfect if I don't change the layout of any of the chart, mainly the bigger chart.
    Blog: SAP Design Studio Tips and Tricks #1: Swapping charts into focus on-demand
    In my case, what I see in the bigger chart could change.
    For example, by default I see Sales by Region (Europe, America, Asia, etc), and the user can filter by a Region and see the Countries.
    So, When I change the bigger chart with other chart I loose the filter and the drill down done before.
    To solve this, I tried to "save" the drills made in rows and columns, before to do what it is done in the blog, but I don't know why the moveDimension is not working as I expected, what is more, when I execute the dashboard and run the event, it says there is an error in my script and the error is in the moveDimension.
    I want to share my code, just if you have the chance to test it, and see if it works.
    Thanks, Federico
    My Code:
    // Initializing variables
    var DS1_Name = DS_1.getInfo().queryTechnicalName;
    var DS2_Name = DS_2.getInfo().queryTechnicalName;
    var system = DS_1.getInfo().system;
    var chart = CHART_1.getChartType();
    // Saving the layout
    var DS1_COL_BEF = DS_2.getDimensions(Axis.COLUMNS);
    var DS1_ROW_BEF = DS_2.getDimensions(Axis.ROWS);
    var DS2_COL_BEF = DS_1.getDimensions(Axis.COLUMNS);
    var DS2_ROW_BEF = DS_1.getDimensions(Axis.ROWS);
    // Swapping charts
    DS_1.assignDataSource(system, DataSourceType.QUERY, DS2_Name);
    DS_2.assignDataSource(system, DataSourceType.QUERY, DS1_Name);
    CHART_1.setChartType(CHART_2.getChartType());
    CHART_2.setChartType(chart);
    // Taking the actual columns & rows
    var DS1_COL_AFT = DS_1.getDimensions(Axis.COLUMNS);
    var DS1_ROW_AFT = DS_1.getDimensions(Axis.ROWS);
    var DS2_COL_AFT = DS_2.getDimensions(Axis.COLUMNS);
    var DS2_ROW_AFT = DS_2.getDimensions(Axis.ROWS);
    // Removing dimensions
    DS1_COL_AFT.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.removeDimension(element);
    DS1_ROW_AFT.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.removeDimension(element);
    DS2_COL_AFT.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.removeDimension(element);
    DS2_ROW_AFT.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.removeDimension(element);
    // Adjusting the charts as they were
    DS1_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS1_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToRows(element);
    DS2_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS2_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToRows(element);

    Hi Federico Galban ,
    I tried a similar scenario like this for  a much simple case the moveDimension part works fine for me.
    I have a doubt in your script,
    // Adjusting the charts as they were
    DS1_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS1_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToRows(element);
    DS2_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS2_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToRows(element);
    Your goal is ultimately to swap the charts, so shouldnt this be done as follows
    // Adjusting the charts as they were
    DS1_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS1_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_2.moveDimensionToRows(element);
    DS2_COL_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToColumns(element);
    DS2_ROW_BEF.forEach(function(element, index) {
      DS_1.moveDimensionToRows(element);
    Just asking to be clear, if wrong pls ignore
    Thanks

  • Swap X and Y in a Scatter Plot

    Seems like this should have a simple answer. I have a table of data, and I'd like to generate a scatter plot of two columns. The plot comes out fine, but I want to "swap" the X and Y axis in the resulting chart.
    Is there a simple way to do this? I can't find anything in the chart popup-menu, the inspector, or the application menus.
    Cheers
    Mike

    Michael,
    This is a user to user forum, and I'll admit that I don't have a great grip on Numbers Charts, so I may be missing something myself. However, I don't know of an easy way to swap the axes either. What I would do is to create an auxiliary column that repeats the X data in a column just to the right of the Y data. Then I would create a new chart that plots the second and third columns, effectively reversing the axes. The third column can be hidden. Of course you could also just reverse your x and y columns before plotting, but that might be more disruptive to your overall table organization.
    Jerry
    Update:
    I believe that, after some experimentation, I have a better method for you. Highlight the X Range only and create a Scatter Chart. The Chart will be blank since you have not yet supplied a Y range. Then highlight your Y range and drag it to the blank chart. A new Y series will be inserted.
    Hope this works for you.

  • Java Fx Category Axis out of order

    I have a chart where I REPLACE the data in a XY chart with new String,Number pairs and I get the category axis labels out of order. They retain part of the order of the previous chart that has had its data deleted.
    Here is a demo app that shows the behavior. Just click on the chart a couple of times while looking at the x axis. The first time the data is plotted all is ok, after other data is plotted, the category axis gets screwed up for the original data.
    Any help?????

  • Can 5 axis image stabilization be engaged with non system lenses for A7II and A7rII?

    Many people use/will use their excellent non system manual focus non system macro lenses on the A7II and undoubtedly on the soon to be released A7RII. Stabilization in the X/Y planes is very very important for macro. Sony on the A7II only stablizes the X/Y planes for lenses that report the focus distance as best I can tell. Perhaps the lens compensation app or another can be modified so this data can be manually inputted or even change the firmware to allow this and thus stabilize all 5 axes. Focal length will need to be inputted of course as well. Perhaps there is another way around this that I have missed. Thanks for any comments.

    Thank you for taking the time to answer.  I have done more digging in reviews and recalled sony's announcments which implied on 3 axis IS is available w/o a lens that reports focsing distance. Not my favorite source, but review from PCMag: "If you're using a non-native lens, or even a native manual focus lens like the Zeiss Loxia 2/50, it's stabilized along three axes—yaw, pitch, and roll. There's a technical reason for that. In order to compensate along the x and y axes, the camera needs to know the distance to the subject, which requires electronic communication of the focal distance from the lens to the body. To compensate for the other three axes, the only data that needs to be transmitted is the focal length of the lens. Even if you're using a purely mechanical Leica lensit can be stabilized—you're able to manually enter the focal length via a menu. The only real downside to this is that the A7 II does not add that focal length to the recorded EXIF data, so if you like to track which lens a shot is captured with, you'll need to take notes." http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2475439,00.asp A friend informed me that on his A7II he must mount a non OSS Sony lens first to have any image stabilization with any of his totally manual lenses--seems the camera saves the settings of the last lens attached.  Turning the cam off doesn't reset this--very odd---seems to be a bug in the firmware.  I hope the A7rII is different. This whole issue is quite confusing.  Appreciate any additonal clarification.
