Swap cs6 from old computer to new computer

I have recently purchased a new computer and I have installed cs6 to my old one. My question is how do I switch the programs over, or can it just be redownloaded.

You should be able to run the installer on the new computer.

you may be lucky, but you should expect problems if you do that.
you should properly install your adobe software using the adobe installation files.

  • Transfer iTunes from old HDD to New Computer

My computer died and I have a new one and I want to transfer my itunes Library to the HDD of the new computer? I have the means to connect the old HDD to my new computer through the USB.

    Hello lynton123,
It sounds like you have music that you want to transfer from your iPad to your new computer. You can use the Transfer Purchases function to get your iTunes and App Store purchases copied to your computer:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
Any media that you had imported to your previous iTunes library and synced to your device will have to be re imported to iTunes, and synced over again.
If you still have access to the computer that the iPad used to sync to, you can use this article to copy over the iTunes library from the original computer to the new one:

  • Moving movies from old iphone to new computer

My old pc has died and I havew purchased new one and in process of synching my iphone up to it.
My iphone has about 25 home movies on it (not taken with iphone) that were synched up to old computer that I no longer have access to.
These movies appear in itunes in under films when i explore iphone - how do i get these movies copied on to my new computer as there does not seem to be a copy option?
I have music in itunes on new computer and have transferred purchases/apps etc and contacts backed up but worried that i will lose these movies if i proceed to sync...
    Help would be much appreciated....

With a Mac, you'd connect the iPhone to the Mac using the USB cable and then launch iPhoto or whatever other photo/movie application you like, and then import the videos from the phone. You should be able to do the same with your PC; use whatever video importer you like, it should treat the iPhone like any other camera.
You can also use this iOS app, but it will only work pictures and with fairly short videos.

  • How to get music from old ipod to new computer

I have an old iPod nano and I want to get the music to my new computer (iTunes).
How do I transfer it without losing the music? All the music in the iPod used to be stored in my old computer/itunes, which not longer exists.

    Hi rominabate,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to move your music from your iPod to your new computer. The article linked below provides several options for recovering music from your devices and backups, like transferring music that was purchased from the iTunes Store on your iPod to your computer.

  • Can't downlaod songs from old mini to new computer

Is there any way to download songs to my new computer from my old iPod? It say's that I need to sinc it but I don't want to lose all of my music off of my iPod?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Connect your iPod and when you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual.
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box: Managing Your Songs Manually
If you want to recover the songs that are on your iPod and put them on your new computer, there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
    PodPlayer Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

  • Stolen Computer - Can I still upload music from old iPod to new computer?

Our computer was stolen last fall, so I'm unable to change the settings in iTunes on the iPods and iPhone we have with all our music files on them. I'm wondering if there is still a way for me to transfer that music (and photos) from our iPods and iPhone to our new computer without being able to access the old computer itself? Please help! I really don't want to have lost all my music and photos!

  • How do you guys transfer photoshop cs6 from old laptop to new one?

    Hi,
I'm trying to transfer photoshop cs6 from my old macbook to new one.
I tried to do it through using migration, but it doesn't work.
Is there a better solution? or do I need to buy new one ?

Migration does not work well with Adobe programs. Deactivate it on your old machine. Then use the Creative Cloud Cleaner on the new machine to get rid of the unsuccessfully migrated software.  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Then do a complete new install on the new machine, and activate it.

  • Transfering music from either my ipod or from old itunes to new computer

i just got a new MacBook Pro with itunes i would like to get my songs from my old itunes on my other computer to this one but i dont think there is any easy way to do it. if that doesnt work i would like to get my music off my ipod to my new itunes

This doesn't appear to be an option anymore.
I can check songs but there's no transfer button -
Syncing doesn't transfer songs in that direction -
You can add to a playlist but the song still isn't there.

  • Music from OLD ipod on NEW computer

Ok, this is wierd so I'll try to be as descriptive as possible:
    1) I have an iPod mini
    2) I have all my music on a desktop PC
    3) Last week I hooked up my mini to my new laptop to charge the mini
    4) All my music now shows on my LAPTOP. Not just the music that is on the mini, but ALL of the music from my desktop
    5) Ok, it's not really the files, but tags or placeholders for the music. In other words I can't copy the music to my new Nano.
    6) How do I get rid of that? I would think itunes on my laptop would have an empty music library.
    Thanks.

Transferring tracks from an iPod back to iTunes has been covered here a number of times already, but again:
First, you need to prevent automatic synchronzation with a blank copy of iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer, hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys in Windows. This should stop the iPod from auto synching with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 3 and 25 seconds depending on your computer.
Then if you're using iTunes 7, you can then copy music that you purchased from the iTunes Store back to iTunes directly (use the Transfer Purchases From iPod command under the iTunes File menu).
If you're not using iTunes 7 or want to copy back other tracks, the easiest way will be to search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod back to your PC.
It's also possible to do this manually, but the procedure is rather involved. If you're interested, though, see this thread:
    MacMuse: Computer crashed
    Hope this helps.

  • Syncing iPhone from Old to the New Computer

My operating system crashed last 2 weeks. That was the OS my iphone syncing with itunes. I recovered my music and videos from it and then when I reformat my laptop I put my songs and videos on the same directory as my old laptop's music and video directory. today I plugged my iPhone to my newly reformatted laptop to delete all the music but when I went to the "iPhone name" > "music". due to reason that I can't delete or even add a new music into my iphone I check the "Sync Music" checkbox and asked me "Are you sure you want to sync music? all existing songs and playlists on the ''iPhone name' will be replaced with songs and playlist from your iTunes library". So I clicked  the "Sync Music" and hit the "apply" button on the lower right part of iTunes. After clicking the button  I received another confirmation shown below...
    My question is this..
If click the "Erase and Sync", what kinds of contents iTunes will erase? I'm afraid it might also erase my apps. or even my contacts.
any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • HT1349 Transferred songs from old iPod to new computer and now songs won't sync to my iPhone 5

What should I do? To get them to sync to my phone?o

What computer OS are you using? Do you have the latest version of iTunes (v11.1)? There has got to be a reason for the disconnect in the music syncing. I would recommend resetting the sync history. If you are in Windows, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices, and there is a button there. Now, with the phone connected to iTunes and the phone selected in the Device pane, you go to the Summary page and down towards the bottom of the page, there is a Reset Warnings box. After doing that, try to sync music again. If there is a problem, with the warnings reset, it should show up if there is one.

  • Can you swap drives from old mac to new mac?

Hi. I see new mac pros came out today and I want to get one. If I sell my current mac, can I just take out my drives and put them into the new one so I don't have to reinstall all my stuff?
Will the new system recognize the new processors and fsb and just reconfigure, or will some of the system files be screwed up?

    Hi lisamel;
Probably not. The reason I say this is because the new Mac will probably have updated drives in the system that are not in your old system. What you can do is to take the old drive and install it into the new Mac and when it starts up the first time it will ask if you want to migrate from an old system. If you tell it yes, you can then point it at the disk from the old Mac and it will move everything over from the old disk but retain the new system.

  • Swapping drive from old Mac to new Mac - What happens to boot camp/Windows?

    Hello,
The HDD that was in my Late 2008 Macbook will be going into a Late 2008 Macbook Pro with discrete GPU. The HDD already had Bootcamp installed, with Windows XP, and all of my programs.
I understand that OSX may not boot up right away with the new Mac, and I may have to run the install disks from the new Mac, and it should keep the applications/files/settings intact from the previous installation (thank you forums for telling me this)
What happens to bootcamp/Windows? I'd like for all of my applications and files to remain in tact. The partition and file system should be fine, but will I run into any issues since I'm moving to slightly different hardware? Will I have to reinstall the boot camp drivers? Reinstall of Windows?
I don't mind reinstalling Windows or Boot Camp drivers if necessary, but my priority is to keep all of the files and applications intact upon re installation.
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

Unfortunately my older MacBook is no longer accessible (long story) and I have no other Macs to test/clone this one on until this Tuesday when the Pro arrives.
I have the XP discs here. I guess in short, I'll just have to wait and see how XP behaves and try to fix as needed.
I was running 10.5.7 on the MacBook. I don't know what the Pro will ship with (its a Refurb from Apple Store) - http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB471LL/A?mco=MjE0NjE5MA
    Thanks for your help.
