  • Clone between two images in Aperture

Is it possible to close between two images in Aperture? I have a photo from a friend's wedding where I have two photos; the first is great - good light, everyone looking at the camera, etc except one person in the front row has closed eyes. In the second photos her eyes are open. The position of her head, etc is the same so I think it would look OK.
Is it possible to cut her eyes from photo 2 and paste in photo 1?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
    regards

You'll have to use a pixel editor as William said, like Photoshop, and then send the images to further edition via aperture by defining your external editor in the preferences and then right click (ctrl+click) and 'edit with external editor'

  • Selecting the difference between two images

    Hi
I have two photographs exactly the same which I have taken using a tripod, lighting and general studio conditions.  However, in the second picture I have inserted an subject - in this case an intricate sculpture.  Can Photoshop merge those two images together AND in doing so select the difference between the two images - in this case the intricate sculpture?
Basically I need to select the sculpture and don’t want to spend the time manually selecting it due to its complexity.  I need to separate the background and sculpture for editing on their own layers.
    Thanks

I have a center of energy program similar to the one used by IMAQ. I have attached an example using your data. I first found the center of the entire image. Then I split the array in two and found the centers of each half. That gives you the position of the two spots. This program won't work if the spots are too close to each other or are separeted in the other axis.

    Open picture file
    Duplicated background layer
With eyedropper tool, sample the color of the dark gear. This will be the foreground color
Shut off visibility of the background layer by clicking on its eye icon
Working on the background copy layer, use the magic wand tool to delete the white background. Tolerance 32, with "contiguous" checked worked well for me. You should see the 2 gears surrounded by transparency.
Duplicate the layer from step #5
On this layer, use the eraser tool to get rid of the small gear. You will be left with the large gear. Press CTRL+left click the layer thumbnail of this layer (not the name). You should see "marching ants" surrounding the large gear. Go to Edit>fill selection>use foreground color
Go back to the background layer, and with the eyedropper tool sample the original color of the large gear
Repeat this process on the middle layer to fill the small gear with the foreground color.

  • Cannot import still image: jpeg/tiff/png/gif/ai/psd

    Hello all:
I'm running into a strange error. No matter what size image I try, I cannot seem to import a still image into Adoe Premiere Pro cs4 running on Mac OSX 10.6.2
The error I receive is a "File Import Error: File Video Dimensions width/height too large."
I've tried the following to isolate why Premiere is returning this error:
    - importing images at different sizes: 100x200, 1000x2000 etc
    - saving the image as different file formats: jpeg, tiff, gif, png etc
    - importing it as an illustrator file
    - importing it as a Photoshop file
None of that worked. I'm at my wit's end and I can't seem to find anybody that has experienced this error before.

  • Can My Dad and I Swap iPhones between two different accounts???

Last week I purchased an iPhone 3g. Now I find out the 3gs is available. My dad saw my 3g and is going to purchase one when he switches from Verizon in August.
    I want the 3gs.
    He wants the 3g.
Here is what we want to do. He wants to purchase the 3gs and swap it with my 3g. Is this possible? If so, what do I need to do? These are two different accounts - its not a family plan.
    Thanks!

Thanks, I did just that. They said since I'm a premier customer that I had a 30 day buyers remorse policy and they allowed me to upgrade for the difference I paid for the 3G (16GB) and the 3G S (32 GB)!

  • Please Help~Need to swap data between two 2010 MacBook Pros

Ok I have a 13" mid-2010 MacBook Pro and my wife has a 15" i7 2010 MacBook Pro. I need her MacBook's processing power to start doing some short videos for our church (After Effects, Premiere). She prefers the lighter 13" anyways so we've decided to swap. I've made two "complete" backups onto a partioned external hard drive using the software, Carbon Copy Cloner. My objective is to swap all data AND settings from one to another and vice versa. She has very important settings on her MBP that cannot be lost. What is the best route to take from here?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Pretty easy, using the original Install Disc that came with each computer restart the computer while holding down the Option key. Choose the Install Disc to boot from. Then choose the language and next choose the Utilities Menu-Disk Utility. Once you are in Disk Utility choose the internal HD of the computer-Erase tab (ensure it's set to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)-Erase. Once the erase has been done then exit Disk Utility and continue with the installation. At the end of the installation it will ask if you want to restore from a Volume connected to the computer. Choose that option and choose all the options and within a couple of hours the machine will look and act like your old machine. Do the same with the other computer and you're done with the swap.

  • Can we swap numbers between two activated phones

We added a line for my daughter but my husband wants the newer phone. Is there a way for him to keep his number on the new phone?

Yes you can. If the 2 phones use the same size SIM card, the easiest way would be to swap the cards between the 2 phones. You can also do so in the owners MyVerizon account. You can also call CS or stop by a Verizon store.

  • Swap numbers between two smartphones same account?

hi all I just upgraded to the htc m8 from the htc one, I need to move the old number to the new phone and the new number to the old phone, could you tell me the steps?

I'd be happy to review your options for processing this change jfaulk1111! Normally, you can make changes like this on My Verizon. However, in this case, it sounds like you're trying to trade phones between lines. You would need a Verizon Representative to process this change for you. You can call 1-800-922-0204, or you can Follow me on this message board, and I can get the details needed to help you complete everything.

  • Picture Library Slideshow Web Part - Is it possible to switch between two image librarys in one slideshow

In our office we have a screen at the front desk that runs a PP slideshow showing welcome messages to guests arriving.
SharePoint may not be the solution, but the overall objective is to find a way to have a library of X number of photos (say the library size is 30 images) and a separate library of X number of welcome messages (usually ~5 images).
We want the slideshow to randomly pull 5 images from the 1st pool and then play the images in the 2nd Pool.
Let me know if you have heard of a solution similar to this. Thanks!

    Hi Twirlz03,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display teo picutre libraries in a picture slideshow web part in SharePoint 2010.
By default, one Picture Slideshow web part only display images fron one specifical picutre library, it is unable to apply for multiple picture libraries.
You can try to utilize Content Query web part to aggregate picture items from the site collection or site. However, you mean that you want the slideshow to randomly pull 5 images from first library and then play the images in the second library, I’m afriad
that it is hard to achieve it.
More information about aggregating picture items , please refer to section 4 of the link below:

  • How can I swap users between two computers?

Essentially, I have User A using Mac 1 and User B using Mac 2. User A and User B want to swap machines but keep their user profiles. So basically I want to swap the "user" on each computer to the other. I'm sure there has to be an easy way to do this, but I have no idea what it is.
    Any help would be apreciated.

Well, since no one ever replied, I finally worked this out:
Run Migration assistant on computer 1 to transfer only the user to computer 2. Then do the reverse, again only migrating the user you want swapped. Finally log out the user on each computer, and log into the newly transfered users you want.
    Easy peasy.
