    Hi,

The ides type: ECC 6.0, MS SQL server 2005, Windows 2003 server x86.
It's windows, not linux, where is the swap space?
Could somebody give me a kindly help?
       Thank and thank

    Hi,
In Windows, Paging File Space (Virtual Memory Space) concept is called as similar to Swap space thing  in Linux/Unix OS. Both terms are used for virtual memory concept as per OS.
Minimum 20 GB of Paging File spaces is required for the SAP Installation on Windows. So ,allocate them from different drives  or from single drive partition of your available Hard disk space.
Follow this path [to change your existing Virtual Memory or Page File size in Windows|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737315%28WS.10%29.aspx].
    Control Panel -> system -> Advanced Tab -> Performance section-Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Virtual Memory ->Change

  • Silly issue: Unable to install network drivers for Win2008r2 or Win2012r2

It must be because it's Friday evening and I'm just lucky like that but for some reason I'm not able to install the network drivers for my Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 R2 installs in B200-M3 servers.
I've mounted the Cisco driver ISO (ucs-bxxx-drivers.2.1.3.iso) and in each OS I've gone to Device Manager, then had to View -> Hidden Devices to show the Network Adaptors, then tried to have it install drivers from the ISO but no luck.  I did go to the correct subfolder Windows -> Network -> Cisco -> etc.  and even tried just having it search the whole CD, searching subfolders.  It either says no drivers found, or--for Windows 2012-- it says that Windows has determined that the driver software is up to date.
I've got to be missing something obvious.  Any help would be most appreciated!

    Hi Benjamin
We have done this many times; which UCS version are you using ?
    Check
    Interop Matrix http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/interoperability/matrix/r_hcl_B_rel2-21.pdf
    and Installation Guide
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/os-install-guides/windows/b_B-Series_Windows_Install.pdf
    Please use
ISO image of UCS-related drivers  Release Date 12-DEC-2013
    ucs-bxxx-drivers.2.2.1.iso
Normally you are asked during the Windows installation if you would like to install additional drivers; say yes, unmap the install iso, map the above driver iso, install fnic and enic driver; then unmap driver iso, map Windows install iso; do a refresh.
    Good luck
    Walter.

  • VPN issues. unable to install and use

I currently have a 24" iMac running snow leopard fully updated.  I am trying to install tunnelblick VPN onto it so my girlfriend can work on her PC (poor girl) at her office from home.  I can download the program, but when I click on the install window (asking me if I want to install this download) nothing seemed to happen.  The iMac seems to then freeze to some degree and I had to preform a soft reset (holding control, command and the power button).  Any reason why this does not seem to work or any suggestions on what I can do to get this working?
    thanks

You might want to ask for help in the Tunnelblick Discussion Group
Where did you get the copy of Tunnelblick that you are trying to install? Don't forget that you need to have an OpenVPN server at the remote end (her office), and that Tunnelblick/OpenVPN only sets up the VPN -- it doesn't set up screen sharing, for example, or remote control.

  • SWAP SIZE Recomonded during instalation.

    Dear All
When installing Dialogue Instance, it shows an error as below :
    Code:
    Condition : Swap Size
Result Code : Condition not met
    Severity : MEDIUM
Message : For the selected services at least 74228 MB swap space are recommended. Current value: 65536 MB. (Updated 2005-06-24)
Before it's size is of 40128MB, i extended it up to above value 65536MB.
But from that, i cant extended it as per the requirement mentioned above.
If i try to extend it shows as :
    Code:
    extendlv hd6 1G
0516-787 extendlv: Maximum allocation for logical volume hd6
            is 512.
Please suggest me, How to proceed further, or is there any other way.
    Waiting for your replies,
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards
    Vamsi.

    Hi Vamsi,
    extendlv hd6 1G
0516-787 extendlv: Maximum allocation for logical volume hd6
    is 512.
try this, find your rootvg pp size
#lsvg rootvg | grep "PP SIZE"
VG STATE:           active                   PP SIZE:        64 megabyte(s)
Need to calculate how many new PPs are needed in the hd6
    size x 1024 /PP Size
    1x1024/64 = 16
    extraPPs+current=New
    16+512=528
    extend the LV
    #chlv -x 528 hd6

  • MPS 200 with J 4.6. We are having issues with encryption and unable to install latest, J 4.7.2

We have an MPS 200 with J 4.6. We are having issues with encryption and the tech assigned to our TAC case informed us that version J 4.7.2 would resolve the issue per release notes (confirmed). Unfortunately we have been unable to install latest, J 4.7.2. Every time we select the 4000j472.tar.gz file, the MPS displays software upgrade failed. We have used IE 8, 9 and 11 and have opened them up as much as possible, still no joy. We have unzipped the file, but do not know which file to select for the install.
    Would appreciate any assist.

As the others have suggested - download the file again - and check that the MD5 Checksum (with something like WinMD5) of what you have downloaded matches what it should be (for J4.7.2 is b328946e6ca24f181c937d90d8e5cc12).  Then upload the .tar.gz file as downloaded (wihtout extracting it).

  • Space issues and unable to install iOS 7.1

I am not able to download apps or use the camera/video recorder. I've checked my settings for usage and I am only using 1.1 GB's. my phone has 5GB and I am also using iCloud. I also, am unable to install the iOS 7.1 update, or transfer data (pics/video) to my pc. Please help!

    Your iCloud account has 5GB.
Your iPhone storage itself is either 8, 16, 32, or 64GB depending on which you purchased.    This is the space you are running low on.
Go to Settings - General - Usage.    This will tell you where all of your storage is being used.
In meantime, you can always update your iOS using iTunes which won't require you to clear out any space.

I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer.  Any help is appreciated.  Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard?  I will try that, but would
like to resolve the issue here with R2.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Alan

ServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller.  Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?
Running this page through Google Translate should give you an clearer idea on getting this installed.

After I downloaded the update of iOS 8.1.3,I was unable to install it and I see "an error occurred installing iOS 8.1.3"what can I do?

    Hi Josephineapo,
If you are trying to update your iPhone over-the-air rather than through iTunes, and you are having issues with installing it, then I'd like you to please follow the steps outlined below.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.
    Update does not complete
If you're installing the update and the progress bar appears to move slowly, be patient. The time an update takes depends on the size of the update and the number of files on the device.
When you're updating over the air, keep your device connected to a power source so that it doesn't run out of power. If your device does run out of power, connect it to a power source and turn on the device to let the update or restore complete.
If the update never completes and the progress bar hasn't moved for an extended time, try restarting your device. If you still see the issue after you restart, see what to do if your device appears frozen or won't start.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've searched the web for solutions to the GPG error, and most of them relate to GPG not working in a chroot because the right things don't exist in /dev. However, I was under the impression that lxc.autodev=1 would take care of this, and indeed /dev/pts, etc. all exist in the container.

    Try
    # pacman-key --refresh-keys
from within the container. Though, I do notice a segmentation fault, so I am not sure if it'll work.
I just did this, and the command succeeded:
gpg: refreshing 75 keys from hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: requesting key 5263801D from hkp server pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: requesting key FFF979E7 from hkp server pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: requesting key CDFD6BB0 from hkp server pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: requesting key 4C7EA887 from hkp server pool.sks-keyservers.net
    ... snip ...
    gpg: Total number processed: 74
    gpg: unchanged: 74
    However, the installation still failed.
I was able to get pacman to install openssh by turning off signature verification. I then ssh'ed into the container, turned signature verification back on, and was able to install other packages just fine.
So the issue seems to be with how lxc-attach connects to the container. A temporary solution would be:
Add openssh to the list of packages installed when running lxc-create.
    # lxc-create -n test -t archlinux -- -P vim,openssh
Attach to the container and run systemctl enable sshd.service, and set a root password
Detach, then ssh into container and go about your business.
However, I'd rather have the option of not using sshd on the container, and still be able to install packages, so I don't necessarily consider this problem solved yet.
Can anyone shed some light on what I might be doing wrong when I attach to the container?

  • Increasing swap size??

    Hello all,
I am trying to get a very old G3 up and running with 10.3 and I am wondering, is there a way to increase the default swap size? If I use the default it won't run very well so I am wondering if I can compensate with loading up on swap.

    Lovell,
First, don't compare the performance of the Beige with OSX to your newer Macs; it's at least nine years old. My upgraded Beige G3 felt very swift with OSX until I got a G4 MDD at works.
Hardware config is everything for the Beige G3 series. T'is a wonderful yet strange beast that came in three form factors, three logic board ROM revisions, and with both SCSI and ATA hard drives. All those affect getting OSX installed and running with acceptable results. If you can repost the question in the Beige G3 forums here, I believe you will get focused help from people very familiar with the hardware issues this machine presents. Make sure you post as much about your hardware config as possible, especially case form factor (desktop, minitower, or all-in-one), processor speed, RAM installed, hard drive size and type, etc. Once that forum knows your hardware issues, they can walk you through the process.
Kappy is right: one of the hardware limitation of the Beige G3 ROM means OSX likes as much RAM as you can throw at it. Effective max RAM is 768MB regardless of what several outdated tech documents say.
