  • How to swap between to sets of item categories in sales order

    Hi,
We receive Idocs from a different system that creates sales order in the R/3 system. For some of these, we want to be able to use an alternative sourcing mode - basically switch between standard POs and 3rd Party POs. The orders has many items, and we find it impractical to manually update all items - also because the order might contain different materials with maybe 5-10 different item categories, that needs to be changed to 5-10 others. This will be very difficult for our business users, since we do not have a simple naming convention of item categories to ease this.
So we are looking for alternative ways, where we can change all items by changing on header level.
We have thought of these alternatives :
    1. Change distribution channel. Requires all materials and customers to be set up in 2 DCs - not realistically.
    2. Change sales order types using VOV8 alternatives. This seems not to be allowed for materials in BOMs and with E consumption. See other thread named "Can not change SO order type - disallowed by item settings" for more details.
    3. What we we really need is changes on schedule line level, and I suppose we could have a logic in MV45AFZZ change this dependent on some user field. But I don't think this will work, as other settings controlled by requirement class etc. will be inconsistent.
Proposals for this are welcome - it should be a common issue.

    Hi,
We ended up designing a solution where item category was swapped by shipping condition. For shipping condition 11, we simulated that a specific 'usage' was active. It required a few tricks to get the Source determination to run, and a further trick to avoid a re-pricing B to nuke the pricing conditions. This is still draft code, but it seems to work :
Enhancement points ES_SAPFV45P / VBAP_FUELLEN_10 : Ensure ‘usage’ is set according to shipping condition

  • Swap between two different item categories in sales orders for sub-contracting

    Dear gurus,
my requirement is to have the ability to swap between two different item categories for sales orders for sub-contracting.
This should be controlled by a combination of the material and a value maintained the Usage field in the Customer Material Info Record (for example by entering a ‘V’).  A combination of Sales Doc Type, Item Cat Group and Usage should result in the creation of a purchase requisition.
In the event that a process order is required instead of a purchase requisition (i.e. the product is to be manufactured in-house instead of sub-contracted) the user must have the ability to change the Item Category within the sales order to produce a process order.
The user would just change the item category within the sales order, and the system would automatically remove the purchase requisition assigned to the SO, and create a process order and assign it to the SO.
Can you suggest any possible solution?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Majlo,
In my system, I checked.  First created sales order with third party line item and then changed item category to normal item category.
Till Purchase order not created, I can change Item category of my sales order line item.
In this case SAP inform by log and once save delete purchase requisition of that line item .
For this you need to assign another item category as an manual item category in SPRO Item category assignment.
After this user can manually change item category to other one manually, if PO do not exist.
Please let me know if your query is different.

  • Problem with sales order line items

    hey All,
I wrote a simple test program this morning Using DI API that creates and updates orders, and I found some weird behaviour:
    1. Once an order is created, if a line item is deleted off the order in B1 - the updates work fine.
    2. If an item is added to the end of the order, the updates work fine.
    3. If an item is added in the middle of the existing line items, the next update does weird things - it swaps prices and item keys and screws up the order total.
    4. If an item code is changed to an existing item (such as changing the AddModel the actual item code), the update does weird thing, same as #3.
Has anyone experienced issues such as this? Or has anyone successfully completed an application like this that works properly?

Ok can anyone from SAP comment on this please? I have some more details if you want to duplicate this.
My simple program just creates a sales order from DI API. Then you complete step 2, 3, 4 as listed below using a Business One Client.
I then go back to my program and do some simple updates to the sales order through DI API using the SetCurrentLine method and looping over the Lines object count. Once I call the update method and go back into B1 to look at the order the DI API has updated the wrong items.
Anyone have any ideas or run into a similiar problem? We are desperate here for a fix.
    Steps to duplicate
    1. Create B1 sales order using DI API with 4 line items for example
    2. In B1, delete a line item in the middle of the order
    3. Change the first any item Code to a different item
    4. Save the order in B1.
    6. Run a sales order update from DI API.
    7. Recall the order in B1 - the totals will be all jacked up and the prices will no longer match the items

  • Discontinued product to appear on sales orders

How can you see a replacement item product number appear on a sale order when the discontinued item is used in error .
Do you do this in MRP?

Please if you have any suggestions

    Hi,
In SAP to swap one material with another material, material determination functionality is available. These are the steps to configure material determination:
    1. Create condition table
    2. Maintain access sequence
    3. Define condition types
    4. Define material determination procedure.
    5. Assign procedure to sales document type
    6. Define substitution reasons
    7. Strategy
    8. Outcome of substitution
    9. Maintain condition records for material determination
Please configure this and check in the system.

  • How to create a credit memo for an existing sales order !

Can any body help for how to create a credit memo for an existing sales order !

    Hi,
It is actually possible to create credit memos from sales orders though it is not followed in most of the scenarios.
We have got a scenario in commodity trading that a sales order will be created with positive value. Once the swaps are settled by the portfolio mngt team, if we have to give some money to the payer, then a credit memo will be greated (as in their case all invoices will have only +ve value as net value) with reference to the sales order. In the copy control, the main field to be taken care of at itme level is the PRICING TYPE for which a value of F has to be maintained. This will convert the sign of the values and fix them. Now a credit memo will be created for teh saels order.
In this case, the document cateogyr of sales order will be C in VBAK, but it will be K in VBFA table which is the table for document flow.
Hope this answers your question. You can reward if it helps you.
    Otherwise the normal process is
    SALES ORDER---INVOICECREDIT MEMO REQUEST----CREDIT MEMO

  • Template BOM in Sales Order

    Hi Experts,
We have several Template BOM for sales. And template bom has Finished Product as child.  I just want to make it clear.  In the following scenario, is it by design or we can have other options to improve?
I was creating one sales order, once selecting one of template bom Item, then all its children appear.  At this time, I need to change the bom item Quantity to 4. But I found its children's line quantity didn't update correspondingly.  I believe it is not so good if this is by design. Because if we have more than 10 child components, I have to change them one by one.
Anyone can give me some explanation? Thanks.
    Best regards,
    Christina

This is the best work around I can find, without using the SDK.
I recommend using a Sales BOM type instead of a Template BOM type. This way the children quantities will properly populate based on the parent qty.
Now for the cool part. You can swap out any of the child items with different items by simply searching fro an item from the Item Description field and not the Item Number field.
    Enjoy!

  • Open Sales Orders Backlog Report

Hi All: I have been asked to create Backlog reports for Open Sales Orders and the revenue amounts for the next 15days, one month, 2 months, 3 months 6 months etc etc. Does anyone know of a standard report that covers that and the business content and cues that go with it?
    Thanks in advance
    Bobby

I haven't seen any standard content for it, with my client, we actually developed the open order report from Item extractor and status extractor. And compare the created on date to the system data to see how long it has been opened for and put it in different buckets.
    Hopes that help.
    thanks.
    Wond.

  • Open sale order aging report

Need a report on open order aging.  The open order means not delivered or partially delivered. Further with days range since its open or not fully delievered i.e. > 15 days or 15-30 days and so on.
The standard transactions Va05 and VL10c can provide the list but dont provide any aging info.
    Kindly help in this.
    thanks
    anu

    Dear Anu
    1. First in VA05 you can use Variants and get the report as desired by you, create one variant and use Filter along with greater then, less then (all are in selection option icon)
This way you can create three variants.
But limitation is dates has to be manually changed in variants each time.
    2. Try this Tcodes
    S_ALR_87014387 Display Document Flow
    S_ALR_87014392 Display Document Flow
This reports will give you document flow run report with ticking checkbox for sales order, delivery and goods isse then after getting the list expand all (Shift+F12)
you will get the quantities for sales order, and what is delivered and what is issued.
    3. As such if you want exactly the report you can take help of ABAP to create the ALV
    4. Report or create Queries in SQVI , or else create MCSI report

  • How to restrict manual changing of free goods in sales order

    Hi ,
    Goodmorning ,
We have some requirement : In sales order free goods quantity determination by system  should not be allowed to change manually , where can we do this ?
    Looking for your inputs
    Thanks and regards
    Venkat

As per SAP Standard, when the main Item quantity is changed, the Free Goods are redetermined. In this case any manual changes to Free Goods Quantities are lost.
But your requirement is for restricting the Chages of the Quantity of Free Goods Correct?
I believe there is no SAP standard solution for this. You will have to apply a User Exit, which will check the Item category of each LIne item & if it is free goods (TANN) then changes are not permitted.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Logic for Open Sales order qty

What should be the logic given to determine "open sales order qty" during designing a report.
Note the criterias are as under:
    1) Open sales order qty is the confirmed qty less the delivery qty.
    2) The delivery qty should be delivery order qty (The delivery should not necessarily be pick, packed & PGI)

sorry it doesn't work for services, since they do not create requirements.
in this case you can use VBFA table, subracting all the delivered quantities VBFA-RFMNG with VBFA-VBTYP_N = J and VBFA-VBELV/VBFA-POSNV = to your order/item from the ordered quantities
    hope  this help you.

  • Report for open sales order

    Dear all,
I need to create a open sales order report. Could you please tell me from which table i can get open sales order. Its standard report is VA05 and also I checked in table VBBE. but all record which i get from VA05 are not visible in VBBE table. It means VBBE doesnt carry all pending open records.
Please guide me from which table i can get it or what is the sriteria to get it?
    Thankyou very much in advance
    Punnet Sharma

    hi,
    my logic goes like this:
Note: Open cursor is used since we are dealing with huge amnt of data:
    * Select orders based on their Delivery status
      SELECT  vbeln
      FROM vbuk INTO TABLE git_vbuk
          WHERE lfstk = 'A' OR lfstk = 'B' .
    * Filter selected orders
    * Selection using open cursor
      DATA: lwa_op_sal_ord1 TYPE gt_comtab.
      IF sy-subrc = 0.
        OPEN CURSOR c1 FOR
          SELECT vbap~matnr
          FROM vbap INNER JOIN vbak
          ON vbap~vbeln EQ vbak~vbeln
          FOR ALL entries IN git_vbuk
          WHERE vbap~vbeln = git_vbuk-vbeln AND
                vbak~vbtyp = 'C'.
        DO.
          CLEAR lwa_op_sal_ord1.
FETCH NEXT CURSOR c1 INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF lwa_op_sal_ord1.
          IF sy-subrc = 0.
            APPEND lwa_op_sal_ord1 TO li_op_sal_ord1.
          ELSE.
            CLOSE CURSOR c1.
            EXIT.
          ENDIF.
        ENDDO.
      ENDIF.
here filter orders based on 'A' and 'B' from VBUK...
then frm header table VBAK get order for vbtyp ='C'.
now li_op_sal_ord1 will have open sales orders..
Moreover as per ur query y do u need the item data frm VBAP as u are only concerned abt VBELN.
If u need item u hv 2 run another select.
    regards,
    ags

  • Open Balance on Sales Order Cost Report

    Hi SAP Group -
I have a couple questions about the settlement of manufacturing variance to COPA.
When our settlement process is complete (production order and sales order both settled to COPA), there is a balance remaining on the sales order cost report which is equal to the manufacturing variance on the production order.
It seems that the manufacturing variance is posting from the production order to the sales order, but is not being assigned to the PSEG and flowing to COPA.
I am looking for advice in two areas:
First, how do we "clear" these balances on old orders that are already settled?
Second, how do we prevent this from happening on future orders?
    Thanks !!!

Refer to OSS 183250 and note 186485.
If you don’t specify in the settlement profile for the production order that the variances are not transferred from the production order into CO-PA, you will settle the variances to <b>CO-PA twice</b>: once from the production order (broken down into variance categories), and once from the sales order item. The settlement rule still references the material and not the sales order item.
Special Features of Product Cost by Sales Order with Valuated Sales Order Stock
<a href="http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/90/ba66cc446711d189420000e829fbbd/content.htm">Read the topic on 'Special Features of Product Cost by Sales Order with Valuated Sales Order Stock'</a>
You may want to check the period of the variance settlement from mfg order to sales order and ensure the settlement of sales order is also done the same period, if the type is PER.

  • Close Open sale order items

    Hi,
We have a business scenario of one sales order --> one delivery document. Any items which have not been confirmed for delivery need to be closed out so that they do not show up as open requirements.
One way is to reject the open line items. However, rejection reduces the original customer sales order value.
Is there any other way that the open sales order line items can be changed in status so that the pricing is intact, but the item is closed out ?
Would appreciate inputs from the forum
    Thanks

    Hi
In standard itself this can be achieved
In t code OVAG itself for your reason of rejection if you maintain BLANK in the statistical column
Then those rejected values will not be reflected in sales order
Suppose  a sales order contains three materials say
    Material A  qty 3 units
    Material B  qty 3 units
    Material C  qty 2 units
Each and everything is priced as 10 US dollars
then the nett value of this order will be 80 US dollars
Suppose if you reject Material C  qty 2 units with a reason of rejection by maintaining the settings that i mentioned above the sales order value still Will  be  80 US dollars and will not become  60 US dollars
This is what you are looking for (i hope so)
    Please try this
