When I published the new site via ftp all the å, ä, ö letters in swedish got all messy.
What do I do? Need some help to solve this...

Some pictures turn out with wierd colors when published
when i added some pictures to my iweb project, they looked fine, but when I published tho a folder and viewed it, the color went heywire. For example, one picture went black and white except for the green grass and bushes which went purple. On the other, the skin and faces of people turned reddish..What gives???

How to turn off linking on folder when publishing it as portlet
when I publish a folder as a portlet. The display name of the
portlet becomes a link. I just want to display the folder items
under the name rather than have a link on the name. It confuses
the users and looks weird. How do I turn it off?You'll have to wait for the next release. The only solution in
the current release is to turn off portlet headers in the region.

Javascript "out of memory" error when publishing for HTML5
I've created a Flash animation using the "HTML5 Canvas" format in Flash Pro CC. When I publish the file, I get the following cryptic error:

I have no idea what this means. I have a brand new 27" iMac running OSX Mavericks, with 16GB of memory. I tried restarting the computer and still get the error. It's a two-minute animation with quick cuts between about twenty different short little shots/scenes. The file exports fine as a .mov video file, for example, so I don't understand why it says I don't have enough memory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!If you get that error that quickly that sounds pretty suspect to me as well.
When you rendered your .mov did you set it to render in RAM or Disk from the settings during export? If you rendered it in RAM, something else is going on.
If there's nothing proprietary in the animation I'd be happy to try to export it on Windows to isolate it to a potential OSX issue. I have a 16GB and 32GB system with Win64 Flash CC on it I can try. Just post a link or private message a link and I'll give it a try.
Typically export issues are related to ADT limited to 128MB ram by default but it doesn't seem likely CreateJS or JSFL would utilize it. Just for fun you may want to increase the default size of the JVM at this path:
/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CC/<language>/Configuration/ActionScript 3.0/jvm.ini
Close Flash, open that file, increase the value from 128 to say, 384:
-Xmx384m
Save the file, restart Flash. See if it can export. -
Usually I just connect my phone, itunes opens automatically and the phone syncs. It downloads any new appointments from my husbands updates into my phone from the computer and updates the ical on the computer with my new appointments. This system has allowed us for a whole year to keep a joint family calender. One phone still works but not the other. Any suggestions would be greatly apprciated!
I should add that I get the message "iTunes could not sync calenders to the iPhone because the iPhone disconneced". My iPhone is still connected and my husband uses the same cable successfully to sync his phone with our computer. My apps, contacts, music etc. all sync without any problems. When I download pictures from my digital camera into iPhoto, they turn out a nice large size (usually almost the full screen), but when somebody e-mails me pictures and I import them into iPhoto, or when I transfer old photos from an old library into my new iPhoto library, they turn out very small--not exactly thumbnail-size, but too small to use for calendars or photo books. I don't know much about computers, so I don't know how this happened. Also, I can't find any discernible pattern to why this happens with some pictures and not others--ie: what I described above is usually true, but I have had e-mailed photos or old photos turn out the way I want them, which is in the larger size in iPhoto. Why is this happening, and how can I make all the pictures the larger size?
Some mail programs, including Apple Mail, can reduce the size of images that are attached to a message. It's happening at the sender's end, and all you can do is ask the sender for a larger image.

Please helpWell, I was able to get it to sync by opening iTunes first, and THEN connecting the iPhone. And it does sync but still will not sync with iPhoto. I also unchecked and rechecked the option to "Open iTunes automatically when this iPhone is connected" and now iTunes opens and syncs automatically. But tried the same thing with iPhoto to no avail.
Any ideas for iPhoto syncing?

I opened a file on my desktop that I don't remember putting there. We use many photos and I thought it was a photo file I was looking for. It turned out to be a keychain certificate from a client of ours. Does this mean that they were spying on me? What is the deal with that? Any ideas?
Interesting tid bit. I created an AAC of the original file, deleted the original MP3 from my library and also deleted the Clean matched track from the icloud.
Result is that it matched with the explicit version of Mrs. Officer this time.
What I am curious about is which songs this is happening for. I've went thru a few batched of about 500 songs at a time and redownloaded in 256k for many tracks. Sadly we don't have people to bring this to our attention and I have so much music that it's impossible to go thru every song to make sure I am getting the right version. -
I accepted/installed an update for iMovie and it turns out that this version is not compatible with my graphics card. So now I can no longer open or use iMovie. Any ideas on how to get around this - how to revert to the previous version??
Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

I can't get my projects in Final Cut Pro X to work in 1080p. One turned out to be 1080p by "accident" but I did everything the same as the ones that did not. Same camera/settings (shot in 60i). I didn't really care cause I had to get some stuff done, but now I know I "can" dp them in HD but can't figure why the one went up to YT in full HD (and made a copy in my movies folder. That one project acted totally different than the other 5 but I didn't change anything. Can't get it to work again. ***? Any ideas?
No problem! If you're worried about more complicated edits (which in all honesty, should work no matter how many clips you select or how many effects are attached to them), you can always compound a clip first, and then copy it over after if you're afraid of lots of track clutter getting in the way. Not sure if they would break apart afterwards though if you wanted them to.

I was having problems burning DVDs' from iDVD and it turned out my burner is at fault.
I have a 27 inch iMac using a OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5680H. Where can I buy a replacement in UK? I have seen these with SATA is this the correct cable for my mac?
I have also tried the Mac superdrive but my imac wont recognise it as it's been configured for macbook air and mini mac. I know I can "make" it work by doing something or other in com.apple/plist, but dont want to mess about in there.
I'm also told an external drive would work but does "mac compatible" mean only for air and mini as their own superdrive is or all macs?
Any help appreciated before I convince myself mac is no better than windows pc!Thanks but this didn't really help.
I can buy the drives at a dozen places but none of them seem to know what connection is correct (SATA etc) and that includes the apple store. It was the store who told me buy the superdrive and all my problems would be over. Wrong! It isn't recognised by imac as it's confifured for air and mini mac. Only way to make it work is as i said in earlier post. (Would you be happy buying a car you were told would start and then discover you have to open the bottome and fiddle to make it go?)
The apple store I would not even consider taking it to. Days without the pc, over priced and don't have a good reputation for actually fixing things!

I have a problem that I can not load or even close the download in iTunes, it turns out I have hanging in the mode, and because of that I can't download from AppStore, because it turns out that the other programs I have on standby. What do I do? Thank you.
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Long story short. plugged my i phone into my computer and my sons itune acct. came up ithought it was mine and hit restore now i have all his stuff and mine is gone. turns out i never backed up. Help. I have a new ipad which had 238 photos and it only would share 190 with my phone. I pretty much just deleted his stuff, reset to dfault to get my clock and calendar back. The biggest problem now is my old icons show up but wont launch so I figured I coul delete them then re install them but HIS apple account keeps showing up with his account info. How do I change that to get my name and password back on there?

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your data. It sounds like you need to sign into your own Apple ID again on the iPad, then download your previously purchased iPad apps again. We have an article on how to do exactly this, and it can be found right here:

I have upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and found that all folders/files/pics in my disk drive have 'dotted' (either white or black) patterns on them. But it turns out fine when I open up the affected files/folders/pics. And this phenomenon persisted even after updating to the latest software. I proceeded to upgrade to 10.8 and updated the latest software thinking that this might resolve the problem but still stays the same way as it was. Could it be the Adobe flash player that is causing this problem? Please help.
