Welcome to the world of Mac!
Pages (and other iWork applications) has their dictionary ties to your Mac's international settings. Go to *System Preferences > International* and check (the list on the left) if you have Svenska installed in your system. (If you don't, you can click on *Edit List...* to add Svenska to the list.) If you prefer, you can drag it to the topmost of the list, making it the 'default' first-choice language for your Mac.
Once you set the language, the language in Pages will be automatically set to Svenska the next time you start Pages. However, if it doesn't, you can set the document's language by going to the *Text Inspector > More*, and select Svenska from the Language drop-down menu.

In the Swedish language package for SP 2013 server there is a wrong translation.<o:p></o:p>
The wrong translation is the abbreviation for billions (Swedish: "miljarder"), the correct abbreviation for billions in
Swedish is "md" and NOT "mf0". As you can see in the picture below where we have made a diagram in Power View in SharePoint 2013.<o:p></o:p>

Multiple language spelling checking

Hello everyone
I am writing to ask an advice on how to enable multiple language spelling checking.
What i mean is that when i write in russian, Pages automatically checks my spelling but when I write in english it just underlines every single word. So i would like to know if there is a way to turn on language spelling check for both russian and english as i am a student now and i need to do my english homework in english language.

Language is a text attribute like bolding, font, color etc. and can be part of a style.
So you can have Russian styled text and English styled text. Select the appropriate text and:
+Inspector > Text > More > Language+
Pages should then use the appropriate dictionary to check the text.

Problem with Swedish language in 10.2.1

Just upgraded to iTunes 10.2.1.1 and my Swedish language setting doesn't work, all product language is still in English. Anyone else has this problem?

I had the EXACT same problem after upgrading to iTunes 10.2.1.1
(exept my danish language settings disappeared and changing "language" in iTunes settings did not work - though I selected "danish").
Your work-around using the "Controlpanel", "Repair" iTunes fixed the problem
and all the iTunes menus are now in danish

I left out a couple details in my last post. Installing the AD AWS is very easy, and you will be able to quickly test that it correctly imports your users with the special characters.
If this works for you, you will then need to migrate the users from the old native auth source to the new remote auth source. KB article 11807 gives directions on how to do this.

KDE & International Languages & Spelling

I have two questions related to KDE's support of international (other than English) languages and one related to XFree86's configuration file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4:
Question 1
I have aspell/ispell dictionaries installed (other than English) but they do NOT appear in
K -> Settings -> Control Center -> KDE Components -> Spell Checker -> Dictionary
Only English dictionaries appear there.
In this way I do not have spelling support in KDE applications.
Question 2
How do I add Languages in KDE?
In
K -> Settings -> Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility -> Country/Region & Language -> Locale -> Languages: English US -> Add Language
only "English US" is available.
Question 3
How do I pass the Switching Option (Policy)
available in
K -> Settings -> Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Layout -> Switching Options

In order to add more language to the spellchecker you have to install them
pacman -Ss aspell
for the list of the avail dictionary package, by modifing one of the existing PKGBUILD you can easyly add your language if it is missing.
The same for kde language
pacman -Ss kde-i18n
this give you the list of the avail language
They are all kde 3.2.1, do not worry they work as well with 3.2.3.
If it complains about missing dependencies (for kde language) force the installation, ie
pacman -Sf kde-i18n-it
this force the installation of the italian pack for kde.

Swedish language Ipod touch

I had been using my ipod touch with a Pc laptop. Upon hooking up to my Mac it wouldn't work so i reinstalled the OS while trying to save my data. When it came up it was in swedish. This would be great if I were a 1960's movie director, but i'm not.
I can't get past the basic menus on it. How do I reset the language on it, without losing my data?

Swedish language settings, Adobe Reader

I have Windows 8, Internet Explorer 11.0.2 and Adobe Reader 11.0.06. I have problems to open pdf-files with names containing Swedish å, ä or ö, directly in the browser. I have to save such files on my PC and when trying to open the file I'm asked to choose a program from a list, e.g. Adobe Reader. Than I can open the file. Are there any settings in my softwares tha enables me to open such files directly in the browser? Or is the problem easier to solve on the senders computor? If so, how?

Characters with accents are not a legal part of a URL. Many applications let them through one way or another, but you cannot count on it ever working, and some browsers will fail completely. Best to avoid it completely.

How does one spell check and grammar check languages other than English???

If it is an empty document open Inspector > T tab > More > Language, change to the language you want. Now spell checking should work
If you already have written something select all text and then do the above procedure

Swedish language on checkout is bad, how do I change it ?

Multi-Language spelling!

How come I can choose my language in Mail or iWeb or Text edit or even in Word 2004, and have my text correctly spell-checked in Portuguese, French, Spanish and Mandarin (I use all this languages in a daily basis) while with Pages I'm stuck to English?
I've tried changing the system language, and also deleting all but Spanish with the command+I, but it wouldn't work. Once again stuck with English.
The world goes way beyond Rio Bravo, trust me.

I have tried out the Trial Version of iWork '08, and the language selection is still rather minimal. With automatic hyphenation, it is impossible to hyphenate unless your language is supported. And of course, it is a major flaw not to be able to hyphenate in a software which is meant for simple DTP.
One way to remedy this would be to introduce the ability to insert soft (optional) hyphens. Unfortunately, Pages does not allow for that.
Soft hyphenation would not only be useful for those writing unsupported languages, but for everyone else as well: automatic hyphenation is probably never fool-proof in any language. Just the ability to bypass hyphenation for a word is not a solution (especially for longer words). Therefore, soft hyphenation is sorely needed!
