SWF Compilation Failed with "Submit All" Option

Hi,
I am using Captivate 6.1 and created a quiz with single choice questions. When I turn on the "Submit All" option, I can not preview/publish the file anymore. It says "SWF Compilation Failed." and I am advised to check if any user variables contain AS keywords. I am not using any user variables in this project. Whenever I turn the "Submit All" option off, preview/publish are possible again.
When publishing to HTML5, the error does not occur.
Can you please help me with this issue, since I would appreciate using the "Submit All" option.

SWF compilation can come for following reasons:
1) If you use action script keywords in Captibvate project variables.
Resolution: Make sure you don't use action script keywords.
2) If you have invisible characters present in text fields.
Resolution: Don't Copy/Paste text from some other application to Captivate text fields like Project information etc. Type with key board. Create a blank project and publish, if you still get SWF compilation issue then your 64 bit JVM might be corrupted.
3) if your installation is 64 bit Captivate, 64 bit JVM might be corrupted.
Add Use32BitJVMForPublish = 1 in AdobeCaptivate.ini file
Close and Re-launch Captivate.
Re-publish the project
Captivate ini file is present at “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 x64” location

Error: "SWF Compilation Failed"

I am currently working on updating an old CP4 file. While I can open and save the file in both CP5 and CP5.5, I am unable to preview in browser or publish the file. Instead, I receive the error "Swf compilation failed. Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript keywords is used as user variable name/"
After reviewing some of the discussion items on the forum, I was able to try some fixes, but with no luck. The project does not contain:
Double quotations anywhere in project information or name
User Variables
I also tried removing any text entry boxes, but that did not solve the problem either. Oddly, I have had several separate projects to update and only one has this issue. It is preventing me from updating the file.
Any help on how I can update and publish the file is appreciated.

Did you tried copy and pasting all the slide of this project to a blank project ?
Note : If the above step do not work, then try this :
1) Copy 5 slides and publish
2) If publish is successfull, try another 5 and publish again
By these steps you will find the slide which has issue.

Also can you confirm if you are getting this issue will this one project or all the projects? Try to copy paste this project on a new blank project and then try to publish.

Getting "Swf compilation failed" error

Whether trying to publish a simple PowerPoint presentation from Captivate 6 or Captivate 8 (Trial), I am getting the following error:
Swf compilation failed.
Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript keywords is used as user variable name.
Does anyone know what this error means? I am not using any variables.

Please try the below steps and check if it helps :
Go to C:/programfiles/Adobe/Adobe Captivate(version)/AdobeCaptivate.ini
Open the file with notepad and add the line Use32BitJVMForPublish=1
Save it and Try to publish the project .

Swf compilation failed--error msg

This is an ordinary project with no user-made variables. I had been working for hours, adding effects to text when I got this msg which went on to say, "Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript keywords is used as user variable name."
I rebooted the project, and still got the message when I would try to save or preview.

I am running into the same problem as mentioned above. When I try to publish as a SWF I get the warning

When I asked Adobe chat about this they said it is caused by having a special character in one of my names. I went through each slide and do not have any special character in my slide names. Could it be caused from naming multiple slides the same thing?

Swf compilation Failed.

How do I get rid of this error!!!! I have read through your discussion thread for hours and see tons of people with this issue. I see no explanation of how to resolve it. What good is this program if I can't use it?
I have re-installed Captivate, Updated Java and Flash. I tried to even create a new project with only pages created from your templates and no outside info and I still get "Please verify if any of the actionscript is used as user variable name."
Some one said to remove the JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environment variable. I have no idea what that is or where I would remove it from. non of the other suggestions to fix this issue have worked.

[Solved] kernel 2.6.28.1 compilation fails with reiser4 patch

has anyone had problems compiling the latest kernel with the reiser4 patch?
The patching process itself completes successfully apart from this part:
patching file include/linux/fs.h
Hunk #1 succeeded at 1372 (offset 3 lines).
Hunk #2 succeeded at 1811 (offset 3 lines).
patching file mm/filemap.c
While the compilation fails here

Using cpInfoElapsedTimeMS variable with Submit All quiz

I've created a branching scenario with the cpInfoElapsedTimeMS variable to have my quiz time out after a set time and it works great if I don't have the Quiz Preferences set to Submit All. Because I must allow my learners to go back and review their answers before submitting to the LMS, I need to use the Submit All setting, which stops the variable from working properly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I put a query in a WAD or when I Execute a Query from the Query designer. When I run the query the variable on the filter kicks in and it requests I select something e.g. cost centre. When I do the drop down in the variable to select a cost centre I dont get a list of cost centres. Only ?? where a cost centre should be. However when I select a ?? it does know what the cost cejtre is as it populates the variable with a cost centre. All the cost centre data is loaded etc.

We're trying to compile a package and we're getting this error that we're not sure how to debug and/or tackle. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

I have tried dropping the package and re-compiling it but to no avail. I can compile other packages/procedures/functions without any issues.

Kernel compile fail with CFLAGS

Well something really strange is happening when i try to complile my 2.6 kernel with these flags

i really dont understand why i am getting this error.I believe that i must include some features to my kernel config since i am trying to get the best out of it.Any help?

Simply don't do hardcore optimalization for your kernel, it is already optimized by hand where needed, so it shouldn't make that much difference. Don't do much else than -march=cputype, and best you can do is compiling it with a newer GCC version. It's better to keep it small by choosing only the features you need than to make it unstable or break it with extreme optimalizations that only work counter-productive like -O3. If you want something big and important to attack, then take a look at glibc...

Compiling failed with "unrecognized command line option '-Wl'" error

I have here a fresh installation of Archlinux and I fall into troubles with compiling a few of applications from AUR.
The problem is this:
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-Wl’
It happens for example with bubblefishymod package from AUR. I've never seen this error.
Any suggestion, what is wrong, please?
I have 64bit Archlinux installation, intel core i5, base-devel package group is installed.

Seems like a straightforward error message. Read about -Wl in "man gcc" if you want to know more.
In the meantime, removing "-Wl" from the LDFLAGS in the Makefile (I used a sed line in the PKGBUILD) should allow you to compile it successfully. Whether or not it works as expected though, is another matter entirely. Contact the author and get him to fix his Makefile.

Perl 5.10 64bit compile fails with gccfss 4.2 on Solaris 10 (5/08) SPARC

I am having problems building my own perl 5.10 using the new GCCFSS 4.2 compiler running Soalris 10(5/08) on SUN T5120 server. Applescript compile fails with "Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier"

Hi,
I've written my first applescript to move messages in Micorosoft Outlook to a specific folder. It is based on existing scripts I found on the internet. However my version keeps failing to compile with the error "Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier". I tried the exact same script on another Mac and it works. I created a very simple version of the script to show the error. All I am trying to do is get the current selected messages so I can move them:

    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
        set selectedMessages to current messages
    end tell
end run
and I still get the same errors on the word "messages" above.
MAC is running OSX 10.9.4
Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 - version 14.4.3 (140616)
Since the script works on other computers the only thing I can assume is something wrong with the setup.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Parentheses have the same function here as they do in mathematical equations. They are cues to the compiler about the order in which different parts of the statement should be processed. The problem here, I think, is that the word current is part of a lot of applescript nouns: current date, current application, current messages, current user, current track, current location, etc. That's exacerbated by the fact that message is also a noun in its own right in Outlook, creating an ambiguous bit of grammar. Applescript has to interpret the presence of that word in context, and several factors - different versions of the OS or of the relevant applications, the presence of different osaxen, runtime issues that alter how the Applescript system reads in the scriptability information - could affect how that interpretation plays out.
Context is (apparently) everything, sometimes.
