SWF file is not working in Portal PROD System

Hi All,
We have written custom mxml script in Adobe Flex 3 which displays the list of applications stored in the DB. Then we have posted that .swf file into our Portal KM and then we have created one URL iView with the location from KM.
These days we are facing issue like the output of the script is not working means the applications are not listed on the portal prod system.
Whenever the issue arieses we are requested to upload the file once again into KM and it works after the upload been done.
We are not sure what could be the reason for this issue and I request any one to assist us to resolve this issue.
Please let me know if you need more info on this issue.

I belive this should be a portal issue, anyways let me give it a try.
I never worked on flex in SAP but did similar stuff in portal content development.
Do you have any traces in that development..?
Did you check any messages being loged in portal...?
Check if there is any issue with the file like couldn't recognise a resource from KM which is required etc.

Swf file does not work from InDesign

I am not sure if this is a Flash or InDesign question, so i will post on both..
I am trying to embed an “animated” swf file (that was created in flash) into an InDesign layout and then export the InDesign layout to swf. in the resulting html file my navigation works ok but the swf file does not play “animate” when viewed in html or flash. It only shows up as a graphic.
I have tried exporting the ID file to xfl and bringing it into flash but then none of my animation works. What am I doing wrong?

You´re doing nothing wrong. SWF export of InDesign CS4 doesn´t support any media files. You can place videos, sounds and animations into indesign layout, but if you export to SWF, they won´t work in resulting SWF. They work in interactive PDF.
And you can export your basic layout to Flash CS4 by using XFL export and import those media elements in Flash, but that may be quite a job. I have been strugled a lot with that method. My files used to go really messy when I open them in Flash.

[SOLVED] SWF files are not working in Firefox 5.0.1. When visiting websites with 'zoom' on photos Forefox asks how to handle rather than just going to zoom

On previous versions of Firefox I was able to use the 'zoom' feature on photos at retail websites. This no longer works. (You can go to Territory Ahead as an example). Firefox asks what to do with the SWF file. There is no option to use Shockwave (I think this is a Shockwave file). Thanks for your help. Warren

Ooops. Never mind. I recently upgraded other programs and I no longer had the Shockwave player installed in my system. Reinstalled it and all if well.

My website containing a swf file does not work now since update of 3.6.4

I have recently set up my own site using flash panorama player (swf file) which has been successfully working for a few months now: annedoncaster.co.uk. I recently did an update on my firefox browser which I am sure has caused an issue with my panoramas showing, they no longer load or show on my website. I have tried all the other browsers and they all load the panorama, which is very odd.

That is a tough one.
I can only make it work if I disable OOPP for the Flash plugin and close and restart Firefox.
It works if I copy and paste the URL of the Flash in the location bar, but as soon as I use HTML code then it fails.
Apparently the plugin-container process isn't able to play that file.
You can try to file a bug report for it on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ to see if anything comes up.

BW query not working in portal

Hello Experts,
We have this issue when we have a BW query which is running well in RSRT but the query is not working in Portal.
The error message we have is
User when running the report is getting the error message “Error in File SMT-0454 - Contribution Analysis (Cx) : Error in formula Running Total Condition Formula: 'HierarchyLevel (GroupingLevel ({YPAXXM01_YPAXXM01_QC001.[YGLSUBBRD GSK1CXBRNDCATH]-NodeId})) = 1' This field name is not known..”
Explored the possibilties , Could this be issue with BW query.
We have this query getting fed to BO's. Please advise.

Hi Santhosh,
Error... This field name is not known, check your formulas in query, there might be some changes happenened with the characteristics used in formula.
Check the formula by going up to base level, you might removed some field ex: YGLSUBBRD from your query. Repair it appropriately.

Flash file, clicks not working in one environment

Hi everyone,
I have produced files using Captivate 2, that have output as .exe. These work perfectly across all of our sites, except one.
The only issue with the site where the files are not working is:
- Click box within the Flash file do not progress to the next page
I have output with 'Playback control' and the users at the site in question are able to progress through along the Playback bar. However, I only placed this in for the purposes of testing the file. The final files need to not have the 'Playback control'.
Does anyone know what I can do differently, to ensure the click boxes work on this site in question?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. You seem to be saying a Click Box isn't working. But you say the "Click Box within the Flash File". I'm not sure if this means you have used Flash to create a button or something that you are trying to use with Captivate or if you simply mean that you have used Captivate to create a SWF, and inside that SWF the Click Box doesn't seem to work.
What would be helpful is if we could see the project first hand. Are you able to post the .CP file for us to download and view? If that's not possible, what about posting a screen capture of the slide with the issue where we can see the entire timeline and all objects.

Learning Solution: Instructor / Tutor iView(s) not working in Portal

Hi all . . .
We just installed the Instructor/Tutor package in our sandbox portal. I gave the role to myself so that I could see the Instruction and Tutoring tab. Yet, when I click on Work Overview to see the Instructor's Work Center iView, it throws a Portal Runtime Error. I have already reviewed the following:

SP 19 upgrade issue : Log off Button not working in Portal Masthead

We have recently performed an upgrade from EP 7.0 SP12 to EP 7.0 SP19 stack level.
After the upgrade we are facing these 2 issues:
1) Log off button is not working in Portal Masthead
2) SSO to BW reports also not working.
Any immediate pointers and help is highly appreciable.

I have tried rebuilding and redloying the par file after removing the function "'releaseProducerSessions()' " which is not available in SP 19..but still the issue persists.
Any other process to be followed?
2) SSO is working for other stuff, and the issue is specifically for Bex iViews/Reports

Swf playback controls not working correctly

Hello all -
When I publish the Captivate project that contains a swf file
and an audio file everything plays well until I use the controls.
Stop/pause works fine,but when I use rewind or ff etc the swf file
will not rewind nor start over.
Any help would be appreciated

Uninstalling Glimmerblocker fixed the problem of Safari being able to access all web sites. One of the other many procedures I did must have solved the issue of the apps not launching.

*.swf file works well in explore, but not in safari browser.
So I cann't see the flash contents(*.swf) in safari, even if flash player v11.0 is installed.
I mean *.swf file dosen't work normally.
Please let me know the reason.

Link from flash file/moving not working on a page

I will apologize first for what maybe a very elementary
questions. I was sent an swf file to add to a web page. I got the
movie to run on some of the pages where I inserted it into a
template and the template updated those pages. I think had to
insert it into another page and the movie does not work there. Does
this have something to do with the script in the script folder? A
conflict of some sort?
Also, I need to link the file a URL and putting <a
href> brackets around it is not working. Does the link to the
page have to embedded in the swf file?

wrapping an A HREF tag around a flash .swf object will not
work.
the link has to be "in" the swf, back when it was an FLA file
in flash.
Or- the .swf has to have actionscripting in it so that it
will take a url as
a parameter.
On the flash not showing--

There is no \ backslash in a web path or url.
you can usually "get away with it" on a windows server, but
it's incorrect

Dreamweaver Cs6 Uploading to remote server to web-host,the.swf files do not load on the webpage

all the content works fine with the file path being the computers harddrive :/C "etc"
once i upload to webhosting server all the swf files don't work.
My website is fully complete and ready to go on the web can someone help me and tell me why my content is not showing.
the webhosting customer service rep told me i need to upload with media files checked? im like i never heard of that lol.

.jar file is not working properly :developed in NETBEANS

i am using NETBEANS IDE 7.2.
i am developing a project that interacts with databases 10g and COM ports of machine , these all processes are performed by .bat file which i am trying to run from jFramform , code works perfectly .bat file is also called perfectly when i run the project using F6 from the NETBEANS, for testing i placed some dialogue boxes on the form to test it ,
but when i run executable .jar file , form run successfully and dialogue box works perfectly but .bat file is not called by executable .jar file.
this is how i call the .bat file...

and below is the contents of portlib.bat file

you must probably ask why i am calling a .jar file using .bat file .
reason is that this .jar project sends message using GSM mobile , System.exit(); is compulsory to complete a job and then do the next one ,
if i use the same file to execute this job it makes exit to entire the application (hope you can understand my logic).
that's why i use extra .jar file in .bat file , when single job is completed .bat exits itself and new command is given.
Problem is that code is working perfectly in NETBEANS when i run the project but when i run .jar then .bat file is not working ,
