Swiffy Problem on Safari for IPad

I just finished an HTML5 site which was done using Flash CS6 / Swiffy extension to convert to html 5. Site looks great all links work on desktop browsers but in Safari on IPad I get the "operation could not be completed" message. The site validates fine and now I'm stuck with all this work done and an irate client who wants to know why this is happening.

hmm, interesting! The swiffy animation is inside a container, that container is wrapped around a main container which has a css file attached. that css sheet holds the rest of the html and images that make up the entire page as the swiffy animation is just in the header
I'm gonna do the following, upload two pages of just the Swiffy animation, if I get no erros on Safari mobile then I know its the way my doctype is done as the swiffy doctype and my regualr doctype that dreamweaver CS6 generates is a bit different.
I will reply back on my findings.

The feature has been removed to make safari even less useable. You need to download a third party browser like atomic web browser to get the functionality you want back.
Like many new IOS 7 "features", safari on the ipad is a FAIL.

I have ipad and iphone4 both.
But safari for iPad uncomfortable for me.
Safari for iphone4 have back button on the below of the screen but for ipad have back button on the top.
With my iphone, I can touch back button easly and I use that button frequently on the web surfing.
When I use ipad for web surfing, it is very uncomfortable to touch back button on the top of the screen and my hands are always on my legs.
I don't know why safari for ipad is different from iphone. It's uncomfortable.
Is there anyone have experience like me?
I would like to change safari for ipad as same as iphone's.
I wonder other users or apple's opinions.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Apple doesn't respond here. The will neither give you an explanation for why it's different nor chime in with whether or not they like it.
Why does it matter whether or not other people find it uncomfortable? Will that change how you feel about it? I suspect that, even if lots of other people say it's fine, you still won't like it. And that's ok.
There are two things you can do.
1) Try one of the many other browsers available in the App Store. I really like iCab. I think it's much better than Safari.
2) Submit feedback to Apple

How can I keep multipages in safari for ipad open if wifi is lost.

I can't keep multipage in iPad safari open to read when I am offline because safari refreshes a link when I change a tab . On PC with Firefox I can open many web pages as i want and read it when offline. Can I do it with iPad safari? Thanks in advance!

Problems with AIM for iPad

I am using the free AIM messaging app for iPad and having a problem getting the Buddy list to stabilize.
The app keeps changing my Buddy's names (actual name reverts to the "username") and when I delete one it reappears as an "offline" Buddy.
I can't find any form of a user manual or help function to explain what I'm doing wrong.
Can someone help me figure out how to create and manage a Buddy list with this app?
Or maybe suggest a better messaging app for iPad?

I didn't have the same problem, but many others. Our iPad AIM and iPhone AIM both had issues with not showing as available to each other sometimes, or other buddies not showing up. I could delete them and add them over and over, yet their availability was rare or random. I was also annoyed by the Facebook integration, and the fact that the preference to turn Facebook integration OFF didn't work.
It turns out that all my preferences that wouldn't stick and buddies that wouldn't show were solved by downloading the Mac version of AIM and changing several settings there. I dragged some fresh buddies from "recent buddies" to the "Buddies" or "Family" group and that account started showing them properly on the mobile devices immediately. The Facebook integration had to be turned off via the Computer version of AIM as well. Once AOL detects the changes on the PC or Mac version of AIM, the mobile version starts to behave.

YouTube problems with Safari for many users

It seems that quite a few other users are having problems with Safari and YouTube after the recent updates.
(On another note, there's even more problems with Facebook and Safari.)
It seems that Safari isn't getting along with the web's two most popular sites. I am having these problems myself. Chrome seems to handle them fine, being WebKit also...

In the last week or so my Safari is going crazy. THis is frustrating and I dont know where the problem could be... I just know that I wouldnt like to switch to other browsers and I would still like to use Safari. But this is too much...
So I have a one year old Mac Book Pro 2.3 ghz Intel Core i7 8gb memory
MAC OS X version 10.7.3
Safari 5.1.4
So what is / was happening.
Firstly I couldn't see any of my emails in my gmail mailbox. I could see my emails if I could go back to the old look. But I wanted to have the new GMAIL look so I Was wondering what to do. At the same time in youtube which ever button i pressed nothing happened. If I pressed the videos button so I could see more videos from the user nothing opened. If I pressed show more button to get more info on the video nothing happened. So then I googled a little to see if somebody else has a problem and then somewhere it was written to uncheck the "open in 32bit" box and I did that. And so there was some progress. Even though I would still like to know why I need to do that and what is the difference if you are opening Safari in 32bit or you are not opening it in 32bit... Anyway at least now I could see my emails in my inbox on gmail and when I pressed the youtube buttons stuff worked. But still YouTube doesnt work the way it is suppose to work. When I open some videos - most of the videos I have huge problems with the slider timeline scrolling option (I dont know if that is the right name for it). Anyway this slider doesnt work at all. The video is loading and playing at the same time and then at one moment the slider stops or jumps at the beginning while the video is still playing. And I cant jump anywhere on the slider. The video plays till the end, I cant even pause it and when it comes to the end I cant play it again... I need to reload. SO once again. The slider stops and the loading trace disappears but the video plays on... And I have no control over it - I can not jump in time I can not go to the beginning - all I can do is either watch the video or reload the page...
Plus my safari keeps on reloading after a certain time. This can be a total pain in the *** when I write a long reply to somebody on Facebook or write a new thread on Apple support community and it reloads and what I was writing is lost forever. Again frustrating.
Does somebody else have the same problems and what should I do about this ******** Safari. Will they fix these problems are they fixing them?

Having problems with ios6 for iPad

Just recently installed ios6 to my iPad witht he following problems:
Cannoct connect to itunes store
Cannot download any apps
The new Maps app is unable to locate my current location
Some Facebook features are disabled. "Tap retry" doesn't respond
Some other apps are not working
Safari is not able to connect to the server.
My internet is fine throhg my apple laptop. No problems on this end
I have shut the iPad off completely and turned back on. No difference
I have accessed all the apps in "Settings" to locate possible problem. No difference
HELP!

with network problems, try toggling airplane mode, leave it on for a solid 10 seconds, then off. if that doesn't help, try resetting the network settings by Setting> General> Reset
if those don't work, perhaps restoring the device would be in order. just be sure to save a backup of the device.

Problem with newsstand for ipad

Hi there, I have been having a small problem with newsstand on my ipad.
I have a free copy of Jamie Oliver's magazine on there, which is fine.
However, now all I can view is this copy. I want to browse the shop for other copies of the magazine, or for a subscription option, but can't do this.
I had this browsing option before I downloaded the free copy, but now can't browse anywhere. I've gone back to the store, but can't do it in there either... it just seems to offer me the chance to re-open the app.
I can't work out how to browse the issues of Jamie's magazine.
Has it glitched, or am I being a noob?

Rodrigo, I had the same problem, I think what causes it is the spanish keyboard. I asume you are using it. Unfortunately what I had to do to fix was perform a full restore. the problem is that the issue will return if you enable the spanish keyboard again. I hope this helps you.

Safari for iPad renders ebay page in ever decreasing size-microscopic

When I open my personal Ebay page (my ebay up on the menu) in Safari on my iPad (I), the rendering goes crazy. The page keeps getting bigger and bigger and the letters on the page get smaller and smaller to such an extent that I can't read, much less, tap on any choice in the page.
Any other webpage is opened in Safari normally: the NY Times, Apple, and such. But it is just Ebay that is giving me such trouble.
I know some websites give you a choice so you can get a better view by showing a mobile page, but I don't see such a choice on Ebay, at least while I can see anything with any clarity. I have the Ebay app but don't use it because it has a number of limitations. So I stick to Safari and the normal website, but it is very frustrating.

Safari for iPad has JavaScript issues with many sites

Two sites I frequent, Slashdot and Digg, are real pains to use on the iPad. On Digg, you can't just tap a headline, it won't open. You have to hold the tap and open it in a new window.
On Slashdot, when you click on a new headline, you jump up to the top of the page.
These sites have other Ajax features that make using safari agony.
Here's to hoping apple can get their iPad version of safari working like the desktop version.

Configurate Safari for iPad with pages instead tabs

I've just Bogotá aun ipad2. Safari doesn't have the new page symbol, now there is a new tab symbol. I would prefer the page version because i like to see a little image of all the pages that i have opened instead just a title, that's what happen with tabs. So, i would like to change tabs for pages, or to have the possibility to see small images of the all tabs at the same time. Is that possible? Why does not Safari allow both options:new window/page and new tab?

Safari on iOS 5 uses tabbed browsing only, thumbnail/paged browsing was in previous iOS version - if you want the option then you could try leaving feedback, and maybe in future iOS release we'll get the choice : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html .
In the meantime I think the iCab Mobile browser from the app store supports tabbed and thumbnail browwsing

Language Problems With Safari For Windows

I am using SFW on Windows Vista Media Edition.
I bought the whole thing in Spain.
First my Windows XP Media Edition is in Spanish and I cannot find the way to change the language to English.
The reason I mention that is because , having originally been using XP Media Edition, I have been using the very nice SFW for some three weeks.
However when I downloaded the SFW software it installed in Spanish.
Does anyone have the method (for a novice) of getting the whole thing to change to English please?

Unfortunately, you cannot change the language for Windows Vista, because Spanish is the default language for the version on that computer you purchased. You should contact the vendor of your computer system and ask them to provide you with a U.S. or U.K. English version, since you were unaware that the installed version was in Spanish. If they will not do that, you'd need to buy a copy of Windows Vista Media Edition in English and install it over the version you already have.
For Safari, you can change the language displayed, but keep in mind that Safari defaults upon installation to the default language of the OS. To change the default language for Safari, do this:
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Safari and look in all the folders for .lproj files. These are language resource files and they are in more than one folder, so you have to check all of them to be sure you find everything.
2. Remove all the language files or folders that aren't named "English.lproj"; (move them to a folder on your Desktop named so that you know where each group goes in case you have to put them back), then minimize or close the Find/Search window and try starting Safari to see if you have English again.
