Swipe keyboard for Lumia?

Hi.
Currently have an iphone 5C and is quite frustrated by the small screen and keyboard. Had Android phones in the past and I miss the swipe (or slide) to type feature of the system's keyboard.
Is there such an app or feature that I can download so typing will be a lot faster and better?
Please advice.

I think for me the swipe action is not crucial. But is essential in typing things faster.
This isn't a Nokia issue, it's a Microsoft Windows Phone issue. There simply are no keyboard hooks in the API, meaning that it is not possible to implement any third party input method.

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Let's start with your concern on the keyboard size of the Lumia 900. Unfortunately, there's no setting on the phone to increase the size of the keyboard. Alternatively, I would suggest using landscape mode when typing a text message. This is because the letters are wider compared when using it in a portrait mode.
For the predictive text or auto correct tool, you can disable it by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on Keyboard
3. Tap on typing settings
4. Tap on Keyboard, which is located above the Typing improvement section
5. Remove the check mark for the "Suggest text and highlight misspelled words". You also have the option to disable other keyboard settings.

Czech QWERTY keyboard for Lumia 820

Hi,
I am a new Lumia 820 user and I am using Czech language in the keyboard settings, but I need to have QWERTY keyborad instead of QWERTZ, which is preconfigured as a standard layout in this language option. Is there any possibility to switch Y/Z on the keyobard, while still having Czech language set? Thanks in adavance.
(BTW: In nomal Windows OS, you can choose keyboard layout between Czech or Czech-QWERTY)

I'm afraid this is the only option currently available. Windows Phone 8 is not Windows 8, so we shouldn't expect the same functionality. Maybe in a later update the option might become available, you can always suggest it to Microsoft HERE

Alternative keyboard on Lumia 710 (WP7.5)

Are there any alternative (slightly bigger) keyboards available for Lumia 710/ WP7.5? I understand that the only option is to turn phone in landscape mode. Any apps available or expected soon?

Totally sure, it's a Microsoft limitation, not a Nokia issue. It's unknown if 3rd party or bluetooth keyboards can be used with WP7.8 (the 710's upcoming update) or the new WP8 OS (that will be on new models).
Personally I had no issues using the keyboard in portrait mode on the 710 due to the excellent word prediction. & correction. If you are struggling you may want to consider trading in your phone for a larger model like the Lumia 900 or the upcoming WP8 models the 820 & 920.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience in the Swype keyboard beng removed in the Kitkat update. No worries, though! You can simply go to the Google Play Store and there are many Swype keyboards you can use. Most are free and many can be personalized to your style!

I need to reprogram the delete and enter key to the left side of a external keyboard for the ipad mini. I don't need the caps/lock or ctrl key. Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.

Yes that was my next step but I removed the Swift key app I had installed with slightly different functionality than the Apple default screen keyboard. I figured I really didn't need that functionality since the Bluetooth keyboard offered far more flexibility. Sure enough the well designed default Apple keyboard seems to know it is not needed when an external keyboard is in use. Apple software just works better as always.

Where can I find a certain keyboard for my laptop?

Hi there!
I sadly spilled water on my laptops keyboard and some of my keys display two letters at once.
For example when I hit 'y' I get 'y6' and when I hit 6 I get 'y6'
This goes for other keys as well were they are flipped.
Is there any way to fix this problem?
If not where can I find a keyboard for my laptop?

My iMac keeps typing a minus sign. I switched my wireless keyboard for a plug in Windows keyboard, and it keeps typing this one character. I took the batteries out of the Mac keyboard, so that is not the problem. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Upgrading OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) to 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion) is not an update. It is a paid upgrade. Just as with 10.7 (Lion) you must purchase it from the App Store with yor Apple ID and install it after backing up your current computer state for safety.

You may need a wired keyboard to carry out some of these steps. It's a good idea to keep a cheap wired keyboard and mouse or trackball as backups for a desktop Mac anyway, because Bluetooth isn't completely reliable.
Step 1

The keyboard should pair automatically when you reboot. You may have to press and hold the power button on the right side of an Apple keyboard until the LED starts flashing.
