Swipe on remote app just stopped working

all of the sudden I can't swipe (go left, right, up and down) on remote app for my apple tv. I can tap, press menu, even type on youtube search but not swipe. I can see app on my Iphone is reacting to the touch when i try to swipe as it slightly changes the light, but no reaction on apple tv. All the softwear is up to date, i tried turning off and on everything, re-instaling the app but no avail... help!

I am having the exact same problem. Quit Remote app, restarted iPhone. Restarted the AppleTV. No change. The aluminum Apple Remote works just fine. The Remote app let's me click to select and hit Menu to go back, but will not swipe to go in any direction. Any help would be appreciated. Using an iPhone 4S and an AppleTV2.

Two games apps just stopped working

I'm new to the ipod and was wondering if someone knows why two of my games apps have justed stopped working. The icons display a "X" symbol on the top LHS when you hover over the icon. Tapping the icon tries to launch the app but they always fail. Its frustrating as they did work. Reloading, re-syncing and updating these apps does nothing.

Try resetting the device. Hold down on the sleep and home keys, past the red slider, until you see the silver apple and let it reboot.
If that doesn't work, try downloading a free app. Any free app. This often clears the glitch. It's like the iPad 'forgets' who owns the iPad and when you have to sign into iTunes to download a free app, that act reminds it and clears up the non function of apps.

Keynote remote app has stopped working over Bluetooth

I've been using the keynote remote app on my iPod touch to control presentations in my classroom for weeks. Then a couple days ago, I could no longer link to keynote over Bluetooth. I've tried everything; even reset my iPod.
I can link to my Macbook from my iPod over bluetooth fine, but when I try to actually link to it in Keynote, I get nothing. Connecting over Wifi isn't a good option.

Found the problem. The iPad was connecting to my guest network rather than my main network as it is supposed to.

My apple TV remote just stopped working!

My apple TV remote (silver) just stopped working after about 6 months, I replaced the battery and reset the remote by holding the remote close and pointing it at the Apple TV, then holding down the menu and rewind buttons for 6 seconds... still nothing. I sometimes get a sound when I'm putting the battery cover back on but then I try the remote again and it still doesn't work. My older white remotes work fine. My iPhone works fine as a remote with the apple TV.... just not sure what happened to the silver one.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Do you have a mac that recognizes the silver remote?
If you think it has died, walk it into the nearest Apple Store and ask for assistance there.

Have you tried unpairing the remote? You do this by pointing your remote at the Apple TV and holding the MENU and Left buttons down together for 6 seconds.

The " My Verizon" app on my iPhone 5 running IOS7 just stopped working (connecting). Apps says it can't establish a connection. I've tried WiFi and LTE connection and it won't work on either. I've rebooted iPhone and even re-installed My Verizon App. What gives???????

Oh No! That indeed sounds alarming! We want all of your applications to be fully functional. Are other applications able to connect properly? Can you access web pages? Have you attempted to remove and reinsert SIM on the right side of the device? Please keep us posted, thanks!

YouTube just stopped working.

YouTube just stopped working. Has blank screen and can't access anything. Everything else is working fine. Any suggestions?

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Close all apps in the multi-task window
1.Double-click the Home button.
2. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
3. Preview will fly off the screen.

CS6 just stopped working last night.

PS CS6 Extended just stopped working over night and so has my version of CS5.1. I have a trial of CS6 Master Suite going and they are all dead too, and no the trial isn't over.I don't even get a flash screen. Actually I got bridge to open and it asked me to install ACR6.7??? I have LR 3&4, Element/Premiere 10 and they are fine. I have wiped my MAC twice with the CS cleaner and have spent the entire day on chat help and the phone. Nothing is working, any ideas?
Oh and NONE of them will recognise my camera, it's just plain bizarre

Oh I have a MacbookPro Early 2011, 8GB Ram 1333Mhz DDR3 , i7 intel core 2.3Ghz, 750MB HD and 4TB external HD. I had noticed how slow it's been running lately too

I suggest you try a factory reset of the hub

Mail server has just stopped working. No errors in any log. Help!

I am running OS X Server 3.0.2 on Mavericks 10.9.1. Today at around 14:30 my Mail server, which has been working fine for over a year and for nearly a month under Server 3.0.2 just stopped working! I have tried stopping and starting Mail in Server.app and via ServerAdmin but the servcies will not start... serveradmin claims that IMAP is running but that SMTP/SMTPD/Virus Scanner/SPAM filtering/Virus updating are not. I tried disabling the all the filtering services but to no avail. Even though it claims IMAP is running I cannot connect from any client...
I have rebooted the machine but this did not help. I have looked at all the logs (system, mail, dovecot, postfix, amavis) and theer are no suspicious messages in any of them!
I am out of ideas and my mail server is down which is very serious so if anyone has any ideas please pitch in.

My problems were:
1.    Server.app shows the Mail service stuck in 'starting' status
2.    serveradmin shows that IMAP is running but SMTPD, Spam filtering, Virus filtering and Virus updating were STOPPED.
3.    No clients could connect to either IMAPS or SMTP.
Diagnostics performed:
All the various messafge logs (system.log, Mail.log, mail-info.log mail-err.log, amavis.log) show no abnormal messages.
DNS is working just fine.
In the end I did the following:
1.    Stop all mail related services.
2.    Make a safe copy of /Library/Server/Mail/Config
3.    Restore the previous days version of /Library/Server/Mail/Config from backup.
4.    Start the Mail service
And all was working again just fine.
I then did a file by file compare of all the configuration files between the workign and not working configurations and I found just the following two differences in postfix/main.cf:
Not working:
inet_interfaces = loopback-only
smtpd_helo_required = no
Working:
inet_interfaces = all
smtpd_helo_required = yes
I don't think the second difference is so critical but the first seems to break everything (not too surprising I guess). All the other files were identical.
So, the good news is that all is working again but the huge concern is why this change happenned, seemingly at random. My strong suspicion is that Server.app, at some point when I exited it havign made some minor change unrelated to mail decided to apply these incorrect changes to the Mail configuration. Why it would do this is beyond me. I think there are some subtle bugs in Server 3.0 (and maybe Server 2.2 as well)...

Try to force quit the mail app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.
Failing that, go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars and remove your account info then put it back in and see if that works

What would cause my Game Center app to stop working & other apps to just shut off .

I've attached a stripped down version of the subVI which handles the UDP connection.
In the Init and Disconnect cases, I've had to remove the startup and shutdown commands as that's protected info, but they are just fixed U8 arrays. The subVI does not have any incoming errors when executed by itself or as part of the main VI nor does the Init case generate any errors. Also, the UDP Open and UDP Write functions process a nonzero Connection ID.
Let's see, what else? The Init and Disconnect cases operates just once at the beginning and end, as you might expect. While the Read case operating at 1x/sec during normal operation.
Let me know if there's any more insight I can provide.

Location Services just stopped working

So my problem is that I wasn't using location services really when I first got my iPad 2 but when I downloaded an app game it just stopped working. Facebook was able to locate me before and google maps as well. I've tried just about every troubleshooting advice I've seen in this forum. Resetting, hard restart etc. but I'm wondering now if there is a problem with my router since I don't use my iPad except when I'm at home. I don't know of an apple authorized dealer in Jamaica to fix this so if I can't solve it I'd have to send it to one in the US or if I travel there take it to one to be checked up. I don't know what to do next..but I really feel handicapped without the location services.
What to do?

Have you tried taking it out in the open where it can access GPS satellites?
The buildings around you may be blocking the GPS satellities.

Remote control suddenly stopped working

the remote control that came with my nokia 5700 XM just stopped working. in fact i haven't used it that much (something like a ten or 20 times for the 6 months i own it). the most interesting part is that i get sound with the earphones which are connected with the remote. i can't control the player but can still listen. the handsfree usage is also gone. i can hear the voice but can't speak to the mic of the remote. when i connect the remote to the phone i recognises it like the default headset. i did a factury reset of the system but it did't help. is it dead? i am waiting for suggestions. thanks.

Some nokia made remotes have a small battery inside (the one that's supplied with the N95 does) and it may have run out.
If you don't want to open the remote to check then you should take it to a nokia care point/service centre.

App Store stopped working on MBP

I'm running OSX 10.9.2 on at mid 2009 MBP. For some reason the App Store app take sforever to load and the just sits there. All tabs are empty (Updates, Featured, Etc) and response is extremly slow opening a menu item. Nothing new has been added recently. It just stopped working.

Rebooting didn't help BUT loging out, loging in to a different account, logging out again and loging in to my original account seemed to work. Must have been a cashe problem.
