Swipe right to next story, swipe up to read story

I'm having a heck of a time asking the right question. I want to make the navigation in an epub book (inDesign 2014cc) move right to the start of each story and move down to read each story. I have a feeling it is in the article tool, but i can't find any documentation (yet!). Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction!

It only took a couple of weeks of dinking around to find what i was looking for and its the DPS tools.
I suspect there are a lot of people like me who want to make interesting magazines, love InDesign and just needed to find out where the good stuff was. I found the Levine class on it on Lynda already and it is just how i thought it should work. DPS for me started with CCI, Linotype, Studio DoIt, Ventura Publisher, Pagemaker, FrontPage, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Pagemaker, VideoworksII, Macromedia, Director, Metropolis, Authorware - Part of the Gang of 10 at the Seybold conferences whew!

Is there a way to prevent DPS from going to next article when using swipe left/swipe right?

I have placed web content in an article in Indesign with swipe left and swipe right function and it works just fine except for one thing. When swiping the animation starts but it also goes to the next/previous article in the folio. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

I am searching this forum to find somebody that has noticed this weird behaviour. The closest I came so far is your post.
So let me explain a little easier... The problem I think you mean is:
When switching bewtween applications using CMD+TAB it does switch to the space an app is open BUT the app switched to is behind all the other windows on that space. Is that correct?
This problem is also bugging me alot because I am used to to switch fastly between apps and this just renders the whole process useless. The best workaround I found so far is to stop using spaces (or Mission Control) and keep all the apps in one space to prevent this from happening.
I really hope Apple aknowledges this bug very soon because this LION deal is a complete mess. Tons of bugs. No fixes.

Is there any event of swip left and swipe right in ListView control ?

As in Android phone in call list we can call to some one on right swipe and can message to same person on left swipe. Is it exactly possible in ListView Control for Windows Phone or not?
Actually I need to get the Swipe left and right Event on these bases I have to download and delete the selected listView item.

That probably require you to do some extra coding on ManipulationDelta event.
We can get the initial touch point at from ManipulationStarted while we can get current point from ManipulationDelta, do some calculation we can know whether user swipe left or swipe right.

My new iPad 2 touch screen will not swipe right and left

At least not with Safari. There are many other browsers in the App Store with more features than Safari has to offer. iCab Mobile is my favorite and my browser of choice. You can swipe from web page to web page with one finger with iCab Mobile. It's the best $1.99 app I ever bought.

I think the swipe left and swip right ability interferes with the formatting of web page content to fit the screen - can this be fixed?

I have an android HTC EVO (Sprint) w/ firmware version 2.2.
Using the original Google browser I can expand web pages (such as forums) not optimized for mobiles and it re-formats to fit within the right/left screen size no matter the orientation of the device. I can read comfortably left to right and only need to scroll up/down.
Using Firefox 4 Mobile on the same web pages, when expanding the type does get bigger but they do not reformat left/right - they run off the screen, no matter the device orientation. Reading becomes tedious because I have to scroll right/left as well as up/down.
I believe this is related to the swipe left/swipe right design of FFox 4 Mobile.
Is there a fix for this?
If not, I'll have to go back to the original Google browser.

This feature is still experimental, and we plan to improve it in future versions.

It's not currently possible to hide items directly on iOS 6 devices, but you should be able to do it via your computer's iTunes

Swipe left and swipe right not 'sticky' enough in DPS

I've found that when using the Swipe left and Swipe right function in tandem with DPS, the swiping action swipes away from the page. Any way to make the action 'stickier' so that it actually does what the action is set up to do and not swipe away from the page?

Thanks for your replies Elaine and Neil. I'm referring to the 'swipeleft' and 'swiperight' actions within Edge. I'm attaching a screenshot (swipeleft and swiperight at bottom of list). The deal is...when I set up a button in Edge to swipe left or swipe right, my finger doesn't seem to 'catch' the button which cause the whole page in the app to swipe.
I was wondering if there is any js that can be written into Edge to help this.

Swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center. You will then find the orientation lock in the top row, last icon on the right. White is on, black is off. Tap and turn it off. If you see the lock symbol, then orientation lock is on, and that is what is keeping it in the portrait mode.

Grab icon appears and resizes a fullscreen to half on the right border next to scrollbar

This is a very, very annoying bug and seems to only affect the right border next to the scrollbar. Everytime I miss the scrollbar and grab the right border and try to scroll down, either 2 things will happen:
1. The fullscreen resizes to half size
2. The grab icon will automatically half size and grab the whole window. Sometimes this results in the window getting thrown to a separate desktop (I am using Gnome- Classic)
It would seem like the top bar grab has extended its way all down to the right border, but with an added annoying feature.

This problem resolved about a week ago but has now returned following Windows updates. Is there any solution?

Can I get rid of the adverts on the right of the screen as it makes reading my mail very difficult/annoying ?

On the right of the screen is now given over to an avert section and many items coming into my letter box I now have to move the letter back and forward / from left to right and back to the left to read each line of the letter so as this is really very annoying can I get the section reduced or removed all together to make life a lot easier many thanks

Why is the 'Next' button in 508 Screen Reader mode not working for RichTree

Hi ADF Experts,
My JDeveloper version is 11.1.1.8. The 'Next' button in 508 Screen Reader mode for tables works fine.
However, it does not work for trees, I can see only the first 23 or so items.
Any ideas?
What am I missing here?

There is no official JDeveloper version is 11.1.1.8.0!
If you use an internal build ou should post to an internal forum.
If you use an official version please tell us which on.

How to disable right-click and keyboard shortcuts in adobe reader?

Hello All,
We are currently working on an issue. We want to display a pdf to users but not allow them to save it. Though we are able to hide the menubar and toolbars, the Shortcuts F8, F9 and Ctrl+Shift+S is the undoing of all. The user can still use these shortcuts to enable toolbar and menubar. Can anyone suggest how to disable the right-click and keyboard shortcuts in adobe reader?

Impossible, and illogical. PDF files are not streamed or RAM-cached so if someone is viewing a file they must have already saved it.

perhaps you can call a javascript function to display a table of options on your jsp with a layer:

How can you prevent that you can swipe to the next article?

Hi,
I'm creating a folio for a fair.
The purpose is that the clients can choose from a menu which "presentation/article" they would like to view. Then when the article is at his end it should go back to the menu at the beginning.
But now when you are at the end of an article and you swipe to the left you automatically go to the next article.
So my question is: Is there a way to put a "stop" at the end of an article so that the people can't swipe further and so they have no other option than to go back or to click on the home button??

My solution for a simililar scenario was to create a full page, 2-state dumb MSO set to play the slide-show once. Then the home button (or any navigation buttons) was available to tap, while the page itself was resistant to any swipes.
