Swiss store: where is the direct link to the books in french?

I just noticed that the direct link to the french books disappeared from the swiss store.
How can i search books within the french books list only?

I can still see the link. It is both on the right-hand bar and on the drop down menu.

TS4068 I preordered a book. When it came it, I must have initiated a download but it got paused for some reason. I cannot get it to un-pause. I go to purchased section in store and see the book with a download button next to it won't download

I go to "purchased" in store and see the book with a download button next to it but when I hit the download button, I get a message saying that I have already purchased the book and that I should go to purchases and hit download. Weird and vicious circle. How can I fix this or get my money back for the book and start over?

Where are the iBook files located in OS X 10.10.1? I do NOT want to use iCloud but much prefer to make hard backups of all my books but I can't find the files

Where is the books tab on iTunes?

I have a new MacBook air and I am trying to take the books from my hard drive and load them to itunes so that I can sync them to my ipad.
I have been struggling with this for days. All the books are Kindle, and I have the Kindle app. This is worse than SAP.

EReader - where are the books and is this the original 'reader'?

If I sound confused, it's because I am. First, I have a Sony Clie NX70V, but this confusion isn't really related to that. Sony says to do whatever I feel like with ereaders, and the fact the people refer to having been given 'ereader' as a TXT and PDF reader, on some of their Clies seems irrelevant. Mine did not come with 'ereader'. I downloaded software with that name both to my XP desktop and to my Clie, without a hitch. (In fact, I want to say that the whole Palm experience has been a complete pleasure.) But it seems that, like Fictionwise, of which it is a branch, Ereader.com is purchase only, more or less, and the software itself does not allow you to just browse for a directory of txt books and open them. (Even Mobireader allows that, though it's a bit hidden.) It says no books are installed, on the Clie, and that's it.
So, is there some OTHER software named "ereader" out there that was originally put on Palms and Clies? If not, can someone point me towards it?Orjustexplain?Thankyou!

App Store: Where's the DEMO versions?

Hi All,
Am I the ONLY one that think it should be a piece of cake for Apple to enable a 1-2 week demo period of apps from the App Store?
I know, I know - it's only 1-5 bucks, but hey - maybe the app simply does not handle the data for Your country, or maybe it does not play Your favorite radio station.
Right now I'm holding back A LOT on the pay button, simply because the only info I have about an app is the screenshoots, the intro (selling) text + reviews (if there is any). I want to TEST the app before I buy it, and 1-2 weeks would be more than enough.
Let's hear it for a DEMO option for the paid apps!

That's an excellent idea. It would require cooperation from the developer to use the DRM API, and it would still be up to the developer if they wanted to offer a trial. Moving from Palm, where most apps had a trial period, I really miss it.

After downloading and install 10.8 from the Mac Store, where does the install app go? I would like to burn the 'InstallESD.dmg" package to DVD.

Hi folks -- i downloaded ML 10.8 from the Mac Store yesterday, and before installing saw the install app in my Applications folder. Following a posting on Macworld.com, I would like to make a DVD backup of the installer, but after restarting from the installation process, the Installer app is gone from the Applications folder, and I cannot find it anywhere... In would like to make that DVD backup in case I have Internet issues and need to do an install.
Do I need to download the installar again (and if I do, do I have to pay for it again), or is it hidden somewhere invisibly on my drive?--

It gets deleted as soon as you install.
You need to quit the installer and extract from the app package before installing or download again.

Power Problems- Where's the "Book" in my Powerbook?

I recently purchased a PowerBook 180c, and started it up. It couldn't find any System Software, so I placed in the software installation disks that came with it. When I tried to install, it couldn't find the hard drive! I have contacted the person I bought it from, but I would like to know. How can I find out for sure if a hard disk is installed on my PowerBook? There doesn't seem to be any way to open it, and the included manual was no help at all. Any answers will be appreciated. The person from whom I purchased the Powerbook from said he used to bring it to work with him, so I would think it would have a hard disk inside. Please post any ideas on how to fix this problem

Please note that a plain System 7.1 is not sufficient to start the PowerBook 180c. This computer requires an additional system enabler (which will be there already if the system floppies are specifically for said model).
Before you try anything else, you may want to test a PRAM reset.
A hard disk not appearing on the Desktop may be linked to a bad hard disk drive driver. If you have access to a Disk Tools floppy for the PB 180c, or if you use the SCSI Disk Mode variant suggested by Denis, you could check whether Disk First Aid is able to detect the hard disk (if so, verify/repair). Then, as Denis also indicated, you could try Apple HD SC Setup or Drive Setup (look for the button or menu command used to update the driver). Alternatively, you could reformat (initialise) the hard disk (this will erase the information on the disk).
If necessary, a startup floppy (the Network Access Disk 7.5 here) can be downloaded from Apple. The NAD 7.5 does not contain any utilities, but can be modified to hold e.g. Drive Setup 1.7.3 (here).

Where have the books-pdfs gone

before iBooks for mac, books and pdfs were easy to maintain and locate and transferred via iTunes. Now, after moving these to iBooks, I cannot locate them anymore on my hard drive, though they are still in iBooks...? Where are they???

To add to the above Books are now in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks. The bookmark list with a star that normally appears on the right side does not show up. Where is it

Note that the screenshot shows that you have the Menu bar visible.<br />
The Bookmarks Menu button will only stay visible when you hide the Menu bar as you can access the bookmarks via the Bookmarks menu in that case.

Where is the search music gone?

Can't find "Search music/Artists" in store Where?

The keyword browser is still there. Just click on the magnifying glass beside the search window and choose Keyword.
