Switch application failed.

Hi,
I've got strange problem. After first succeeded use between phones (N95/N96) Switch applications stopped work on both devices. I can't even open them. N96 v.12 - N95 v.21
Has Anyone any idea what to do?

No, only the phone's internal memory (C: drive) is formatted when you perform a soft reset (*#7370#). A hard reset is to be used when the phone no longer responds to key input, and is performed by switching the phone on with the '*', '3' and 'call' buttons pressed.
Some software corruption can, however, be put down to corruption of the mass memory. I recommend you back up what you want to keep from the mass memory and you reformat it anyway.
Note that you have to use OVI suite to back up media activation keys. If you don't, then any DRM-protected media there was in the phone will no longer be playable after you've restored it.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

White Squares instead of Application Icons in Switch Applications

My "Switch Applications" (Command-Tab) has started sporadically showing a white square instead of one of the icons for the applications I have open. I can still click through to them, but it is a little disconcerting.
No particular application seems to be involved more than the others - Firefox, Finder, iTunes, and a Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client have all done this at one time or another today.
This may be related with the other problem that arose today: some application sub-windows sometimes appear simply as white window. (I mention this here because it may be relevant, but this problem has a separate thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=13094719#13094719)
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you.

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Premiere Elements 11 application fail

Recently purchased Premiere Elements 11 as an upgrade to Elements 9 installed on my windows 7, core i5 PC. The application seemed to install OK but the desktop short cut failed as did trying to activate from c:/programs/adobe. I uninstalled and downloaded again - fail. I followed one of the question strings on Adobe Community and found out about dependency walker. I downloaded the program, did a dependency check and recieved the following warnings:
Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a mising export function in an implicitly depended module.
Error: Modules with differnt CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved inport due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.
I am not a technocrat. I am a basic consumer. I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. Do I need a computer expert to sort this problem out?

Thank you for the response Jeff. I do not receive any error messages from Premiere Elements. The install process appeared to work ok. I got the standard sort of prompt commands, the install program selected the directory in C drive, the install program set up the shortcut icon on the desktop and I clicked finish at the end. There was nothing obvious to indicate an install problem - but the application fails to activate when the shortcut is clicked or if I select the program through windows, start button, all programs, premiere elements.
Dependency Walker is a free program for Microsoft Windows used to list the imported and exported functions of a portable executable file. It also displays a recursive tree of all the dependencies of the executable file (all the files it requires to run). The program was suggested for use in one of the Adobe community forums discussion threads. I used it, it told me there were errors, they mean nothing to me as a non-technocrat and I dont know where ot go next. However, I will try the troubleshoot-install-logs link you included and see if that gets me closer to a solution. Thanks again.

Error Message "ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe unable to locate. This application failed to start because ExtendedScript.dll was not found". This error message is seen when first starting Windows Vista, prior to starting Photoshop Elements 12.

This error message is seen every time when first starting Windows Vista, PRIOR to starting Photoshop Elements 12.1
It does not seem to interfere with the normal operation of Photoshop Elements, but it is a constant annoyance.

Switch version fail. CCX 8.5.1SU4 - 9.0.2

Hey All.
When i try to switch-version from version 8.5.1su4 to 9.0.2 then after app. 30 min, the cli says "Sync after switch version failed" and then stops.
I have tried to reinstall the 9.02 on the inactive partion, but still the same issue. all network connectivity (DNs, NTP etc.) is running så they should not be any network issue that causes this.
I have also tried to force a switch-version thru the recovery CD, and the swtich version goes ok, and the 9.02 comes up, but no services will start (Waited 45 min - and monitor the utils services list on the console)... so im back on 8.51su4.
Installation is on vmware version 5.0 and is SA
On the console, i can se 1 error in the startup,
But the interface is actually answering from remote.
Anyone have any idea what i could be??
(the refresh file was install before the the upgrade file...)

in the uccx_install.log file. and after that i runs the rollback script.

Failed while creating virtual Ethernet switch. Failed to connect Ethernet switch port

Hello Folks
I am completely stuck with the configuration of my virtual networks. I have one logical switch left to add to one of my Hyper-V 2012 R2 hosts when I started getting the error below when I try to add logical switches to either Hyper-V Host. I have been using
the document. 'Hybrid Cloud with NVGRE (Cloud OS)' to implement the virtual networking. Basically using the exact configuration that is in the document. I have added the PA Logical Network and the Network adapters and added the logical switch for it to my
hyper-v 2012 R2 host and everything was fine. I am now trying to add my ISCSI Logical Switch to the host and this is the error I get. My other Hyper-V host I get this error for any logical switch I am trying to add. Can someone help me with this error. I haven't
been able to find any information about it.
Also a some quick info on tracing an error like this so I can figure out what is causing it.

notice your GUID? you may want to consider ensuring that is the same GUID associated in your database. Sometimes during data corruption theres a smidge of a chance your sql database kind of either pulls old guids esp if this was reverted to snapshot
without it being powered off etc.
I would try that first. then i would consider if you get to configure that with your current liscense associated with the host. I would need way more info to help any further

That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

Firefox 3.5 was downloaded fine, but when I try to open firefox page, "the application failed to initialize properly" error sign comes up.

I've been using firefox fine until now. But when I launched firefox page today, suddenly "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b).
