Switch off Express Notification of Priority 1 Workitems

Hello Community,
is it possible to switch off the express notification for prio 1 Workitems ?
Is there any user exit or enhancement point, where i can affect workitems notifcation
properties ?
In wort case, I consider to make a modification...

Basically I agree with you. But í know from experience, that users responds where sensible by changing
cosmetic configuration.
We´re using prio 1 for incoming invoices which have cash discount relevance...The amount of documents is so high that the pop-up from express notification is an annoying damage for the receiving users. But the red highlighting is a good and fast way
to filter the relevant workitems in workplace...
I´will searching for an alternative way to highlight the workitems in workplace and deadlines are also an interesting way
that i´ll analyze.
Is there anybody else who can tell me how to highlight workitems in workplace without giving them the prio1 ?

I use thunderbird with a number of email accounts. There is one account I do not want to check for mail unless I specifically press the 'get messages' option for that account.
I have followed the steps outlined in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/990466 but desptire having unchecked:
[ ] Check for new message at startup
[ ] Check for new message every { } minutes
the mail account is still synched.

Are we speaking about collaboration tasks? If so, then on the UI there is a choice as follows for notification:
When a task is created using the collaboration task wizard, the creator can specify the conditions under which notifications are to be sent:
●      None
No notification is sent.
●      When Complete
When a task has been completed, a notification is sent.
●      On Updates, Completion, and if Overdue
When the task has been completed or updated or if it is overdue, a notification is sent.
So if this is the case, per user the user can choose None on the UI so that no notifications are sent for this specific workitems, otherwise, I think Shanti's suggestion, is the way to go.

How do I switch off Calendar Notifications in OSX that I no longer want to see?

I have several Calendars that I want to view but I do not want to see Notifications for all of them, only my main Calendar. I have tried all sorts of settings changes to try to stop the notications that I don't want from appearing but nothing I do makes any difference. Help please. What am I missing?

Turn off alerts for a calendar
Control-click the name of the calendar in the calendar list, then choose Get Info.
If you don’t see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List.
Select “Ignore alerts,” then click OK.

Notification Switch off in Lumia 710

How do i switch off the notification which pops up on the top of the screen when a message is recieved .. ?? I use a Lumia 710.

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
There is no setting to set your phone to switch on/off as per to a schedule. This is not possible with any application either, as they cannot access the core functions of the phone (such as power down etc.) by default.
So, I am afraid your only choice would be to put your phone on silent (press volume up and down and then tap the top right of the screen), check that there are no applications running (long press back button) and switch off Bluetooth, WiFi and location services to minimise the battery consumption. There are applications that will ease your access to these services, such as this.

Switching off notifications

Hey everyone,
Wondering if any of you can help clarify something for me.
I've switched off notifications through Notification Centre for all apps, but I've been told that this doesn't fully switch notifications off. Is that correct?
I assumed that when you switch them off through the phone's settings, they'd no longer push to your phone. Is that the case? Or do you also need to switch off notifications through the app itself? If so, what is the point of being able to move apps to 'Not in notification centre' in the settings?
I'm looking to save a little bit of data and imporve my battery life. Will moving apps to 'Not in notification centre' list assist with this? I understand notifications don't use much data, but they do use a little, and want to stop them doing so.

Just guessing, but I would think, as I look at mine, that it might have to do with when the apps were added to the device. To be honest, identifying this as a bug might not be correct. Lion may have replaced files that partially made up your printer drivers. Either way, HP saw fit to make a new set of drivers specifically for 10.7 so you may want to use it simply to avoid any bugs tehy found.

Application Express XE Installation: Switch off Swap Check

I am trying to install XE into a Parallels Container 6.7 (VPS).
I have created the container Oracle Linux template.
Oracle XE requires a SWAP setting. In a Parallels Container installation you cannot set a SWAP ... That on the service hardware.
Look through the forums I can see you can switch off the Swap Check for a full Oracle Linux installation

I just found the solution ... In Parallels Containers 6.7 the Swap parameters is now available
vzctl set xxx ram 4g swap 2g --save

WiFi issue: Is it possible to change WiFi settings in a way that it does not switch off in the screen-lock mode?

I have iPhone 4 and 4s. WiFi is automatically switching off on both phones when they are inactive (screens are locked). It is connecting back after some seconds I unlocke the phone. But because I have no subscribtion for the Cellular data usage, I am being cuted from Internet all screen-locked period. All that time people are not able to reach me by email, skype, or other programs using Internet. It is quite uncomfortable, especially when waiting for something important! Is there a way to change this setting?

The iPhone does not shut down WiFi completely when asleep. It does use a power conservation mode. You should still receive notifications. There is no setting for this. It should work for you as it does for me if you don't have a network problem.
There are lots of problems reported with D-Link routers and they don't have a great reputation. If there is no help available from D-Link you may want to consider installing the DD-WRT firmware. It's available for the D-Link 615. See here for information: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index
By the way, you do have Notifications enabled for the Apps you are talking about right? See Settings -> Notifications and Mail, etc.

Hi, I have a frustrating problem that seems to have occurred post iOS 8 installation. When my iphone5 is switched off the ring tone fails to sound i only get the vibration. If i am using my phone and a have an incoming call then the ring tone works as normal. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb" ... i see from the menu in "do not disturb" that under the heading "silence" there are two options "always" and "only when the phone is locked" This does not seem to make sense as i have to choose one or the other!
If anybody can help advise me on this problem i would be very grateful.

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

And it is only a problem if you want a blank first screen. Personally, it would drive me nuts always having to swipe over one page to get to my apps - the only time I unlock my iPhone is to use it or run an app, so no, I have no need nor desire to have a first screen with no icons at all.
But, if they'd put it in as an option so people like yourself can also have what they want, that's fine too So send them your feedback (they actually do listen - iOS 5 includes a number of things people have been asking for on these forums, like being able to delete individual entries from the call history, inproved alerts/notifications, being able to opt out of all the location based data they collect,...).

Switching-off the acceptance of changes while synchronize

Whenever I synchronize my BB with Desktop Software I have to accept every single change I made in my address book or the calendar.
Is it possible to switch-off this acceptance? I just want to start the synchronization and then my BB should do the rest by itself. I don't want to klick ten times while synchronization.

Switching off gnome-shell alert sounds

Here's something that's been driving me up the wall: Skype respects the setting of "Sound Effects", which in itself is kind of alright.
But the settings only let me choose between off or some sound theme, so I can't set the alert sounds to "none", while still being able to hear an incoming call in skype. How can I switch off these infuriating pops and blubs seperately? Relevant for volume change and typing, tab-complete and so on.

Switching off DEBUG messages in the admin console

I have the problem that I see a lot of debug information on the log when starting the admin console and navigation through the pages. It makes the admin console VERY slow. This must be some sort of low level debug stuff which I'm not able to witch off.
I already made sure that debugging is switched off for the server (AdminConsole->Debug) and no diagnostic options are turned on. I also checked for a debug command line option in the start script.
Some example debug output:
DEBUG struts.util.PropertyMessageResources (PropertyMessageResources.java:284) - Saving message key '.assistant.jms.server.resumeconsumption.title
DEBUG util.logging.Logger (Logger.java:118) - Delegating to RequestDispatcher for URI /jsp/contentheader/Messages.jsp

You could add a dynamic text field to your app, add it to the stage and send notifications for whatever you need to debug.
e.g. Just as you would use the trace("this message "+variableValue); in Flash to debug using the output window.
You would use
textfield_name.appendText("this message "+variableValue+"\n");
or if you were listening for error you could use something like:

When display switches off I can't get it back without forced restart

When display switches off due to low battery power & I can't get it back even when I plug in to the mains and have to force the PC to restart.
Is there a pref somewhere to disable this?

When the display goes off exactly? How much capacity has battery at this time? 5%? More?
Try to set this to higher level.
When you work with your notebook and battery level comes to low battery level and the alarm alert will be shown in task bar but you will be able to continue your work several minutes or to connect AC power supply.
I am afraid your notebook reaches critical battery level and then is maybe too late for any action.
Set Low battery level to 10% and when the notification is shown connect AC adapter immediately.
I presume the display must not be off at all.
