Switch on classic GL after upgrade to ECC 6.0

We are in the process of upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. We intended to use the classic GL for the start and switch to the new GL next year. However we inadvertently failed to switch on the classic settings during install. Is there a way to turn on the classic GL on the fly without starting over and reinstalling?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

There is no such thing as to 'failed to switch on the classic settings' . By default when you upgrade the classic GL runs. Only if you want to use the New GL, you need to activate in the Financial Global Settings, the new G/L feature.
When you activate data continue to populate the old tables namely GLT0. This is for you to compare the data in the old with the new, if satisfactory, then de-activate the old GL.

Hi Experts,
I have a question.
Recently our system went for upgrade and during testing phase we have found one issue.
Error message is appearing in PPOME transactio code after upgrade to ECC 6.0
The screen is getting defaulted to Budget section and unable to find the subtype as there are no subtypes available there and showing error message as "Fill in all required fields".
Please let me know your solution on this.

- you can deactivate the budget tab in the IMG-activity 'Hide/Show Tab Page'
(SIMG_CFMENUOHP1HFW20 alternatively use SM30 on view 'T77OCTABUS')
1. Create new entries for the following KEY:
a) Scenario OME0
b) Object type 'P', 'O', 'S'
c) Tab Page 'PBC_ORIG'
2. for each of this entries, set the 'Exclude Tab Page'-Flag.
- in case you do not want to deactivate the Budget tab:
The error occurs due to missing entries for subtypes in table T778U
for infotype 1516.
Please maintain the according subtyes you want to use if you create a
budget.

Special Characters in Packed Field After Upgradation from ECC 5 to ECC 6

Hi All,
After Upgraded from ECC 5 to ECC 6, we are getting error as 'Packed field contains incorrect BCD format'.
I found the error in below code..

Statistical-relevent delivery date not showing up in PO after upgrad to ECC

Hi Gurus,
After upgrade to ECC, Statistical-relevant delivery date (PO Item details --> delivery schedule tab) is not showing up when I convert PR to PO from Stock requirements list(MDO7).
Could you please help me out this issue.

Maintain the item category in your material master at sales organisation level and try again.
Also Please Check the delivery item category determination in trxn code 0184 there you define which item category is to be found for the combination of delivery type NL and item category group.

Barcode doesn't work after upgrade to ECC

In sapscript, we used bardcode. But after upgrade to ECC, it doesn't work.
Could you help me about it??
And we don't want to convert the sapscript to smartforms and use the new barcode technique.

I think some function moule is missed, please check the driver program also. In production you are getting Barcodes ?. Or otherwise goto se73 - we have bar codes types.. system and printer barcodes . please assign the printer bar codes in output devices.

Error AA662 in Asset accounting after upgrade to ECC 6

Hi,
After upgrade to ECC6 from R3 Enterprise, when we try to browse an asset, using transaction code AW01N, and go to posted values/Comparisons tab we get the following error:
SYST: You cannot change the depreciation periods
     Message no. AA662
Asset affected: 000000003983-0000
Diagnosis
    Processing terminated because the number of depreciation periods in company code 1100 has been changed. However, you cannot change the number of
    periods in your live (productive) system.
Procedure
    Change the depreciation periods back to the original value in company code 1100. The number of depreciation periods is determined by the fiscal year version and the use of half-periods. At least one of these parameters was changed.
     If you want to change your system so that you can now work with half-periods, you have to use depreciation keys with time-dependent period control in that company code.
    If you need to make general changes to the number of periods for calculating depreciation per fiscal year, you will have to consult your system administrator.
We were not getting this error in R3 enterprise. We have tried implementing sap note 1009699 but it does not resolve the issue. What we observed is, AA662 occurs if you change the number of period in the fiscal year version or the use of half-periods, after you have already posted to assets. The most common cause is a different value in field ANLB-PERFY which is the number of periods in the fiscal year. If the number entered here does not correspond to the number of posting periods of the fiscal year used, the system raises error AA662 (except for none posted areas for which ANLB-PERFY = 000 or areas with depreciation to the date for which ANLB-PERFY = 365). For us there are many assets with ANLB-PERFY=24.
Is there a way to fix this problem by some config change or data fix. If any of you have come across a similar issue or have any insights on the same, please respond back.

I could not find any solution to fix this in new depreciation calculation method. I also did not get any help from SAP or SDN. So, we decided to switch back to the old calculation method.
There are 3 ways of implementing the old calculation.
1. SAP Note 984161 : Code change at ABAP level.
2. User Level : By setting the user parameter FAA_DC_SWITCH to OLD
3. By default Config : If we make an entry in V_TABWD_VID in SM30 and create a new entry with Acct. Transaction ID to 'AMBUAFAR000000000000', It should use old calculation method.

Distribution rule creation is not possible in CJIC after upgradation of ecc

We are using settlements for PS in ECC 6.0. Trying to partial settlement for WBS from CJ70 tcode, unable to find Final Settlement button/ icon where we give amount for settlement after some service patch upgrade .Can any one pls suggest any alternative /solution for this. Even it is same with T-Code CJIC too. your information we have undergone upgradation from 4.7 to ecc 6.0.we can be able to run these transactions in 4.7.I know this can be done through CJ88.But due some specific reasons i want to run these t-codes.(CJ70 & CJIC)

No in addition to display ,you can maintain settlement rule also. In cj88 we are not able to settle by amount.so will maintain settlement rule by amount in cj70 & we will do settlement by cj88.this we did it in 4.7 version but after upgradation we could nt do it.

Short dump in BP after upgrade to ECC 6.0

Hi,
We have upgraded system to ECC 6.0 from ECC 5.0
After upgrade system is giving short dump in transaction BP, event tried to navigate on BP screen.
Short dump description:
A RAISE statement in the program "CL_OS_TRANSACTION=============CP" raised the exception condition "OS_COMMIT_TOP_FAILED".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program, processing was terminated.
Please advise to resolve this issue.

When exactly does this error appear? On save? clicking on a specific entry?
I suggest opening an OSS call for this problem, this doesn't seem to known (at least I didn't find any notes)

Missing some entries in trasaction OKB9 after upgrade to ECC 6.0

We're missing some entries in transaction OKB9 after the upgrade to ECC 6.0. Pariculary, a significant number of records in table TKA3C were not copied over to ECC 6.0.
Have anyone experience this same problem as well. We're at the early stage of unit testing a we're worried that there maybe some other config tables that were not properly copied.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi friends, i fixed this issue.Its a configuration problem.In table T882 they didnt maintaine fisical variant filed for particular compony code.Once this is maintained the problem got solved

After are upgrade from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 on an iSeries machine we have noticed an increase in the number journal receivers being created by SAP approximately twice as many that were being created on are 5.0 system. I've checked all the attributes for the journal receivers and they were set the same on both versions. This hasn't caused use any issues but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows the cause of this. Thanks, Jason Duncan

after upgrading to SAPGUI 7.10 I can´t switch to Excel in ALV. Even Export to Spreadsheet isn´t working.
Switch to Excel inplace:
View cannot be switched: Product is not installed or integration is not active.

Export to Excel:
Sap ties to create a XXL-List Object.
Any idea or solutions?

SE07 doesn't show Import status after upgrade to ECC 6.0

Hi,
we were on 4.7 and we recently upgraded to ECC 6.0 EHP4. When we were on 4.7, after a release, we used to monitor the import status of all the transports going in, using transaction SE07. Looks like this transaction wouldn't work anymore in ECC6.
I can access the transaction, but I cannot expand the "Execution" to see the status of the transports which went in today. 4.7 used to show all the transports which were impoerted on that day.
I know we can check the import logs by pulling up each transport, but SE07 will show you a consolidated list with all the detail and will be very easy to find what we are looking for.
We are on Oracle 11g on Solaris 10. Please help.

We have made a test upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. OS --> AIX 5.3; DB --> DB2 8.2. After upgrade we have a lot of syntax errors, why? Anybody has the same problem? Do I must to check all my programs?

Network Mode Switch No Longer Possible After Upgrade

Hello. I can't switch from 3G/H+ to 2G any longer. I could do this when I still had the OS 7.0 running on my Torch 9810 (AT&T). This changed after I upgraded to the OS 7.1. Now, when I go to the "Networks and Connections" option, all I see is "Manual and "Automatic"...I don't see any options to switch between 2G or 3G/H+...Even when I try switching manually to 2G (selecting 2G from the list of available networks), it still stays on 3G/H+...I have just upgraded to the latest official release: OS 7.1 Bundle 1997 (7.1.0.694 , Platform 5.1.0.507) but still, there are no changes on that. I need to have this feature because staying put on 3G/H+ means faster battery consumption and I don't want that. Please, your assistance is needed. Thanks.

BADI's in classic scenario after upgrading to SRM 07

Hello,
We are using the classic scenario, just finished upgrading the SRM 4.0 (server 5) to SRM 07.
We are using ECC 6.0.
We used the BADI's:
BBP_CREAT_PO_BACK
BBP_CREAT_RQ_BACK
I have understood that in SRM 7.0 the BADI's that I have to use are:
BBP_CREAT_BE_PO_NEW
BBP_CREAT_BE_RQ_NEW
Do I have to work with the new BADI's or can I stay with the old one?

Hello,
As far as I know, once you activate new badis, old ones will not be called anymore.
So, if you do not activate them, old badis will still be called.
Just remember that these badis are valid when follow on document is created via RFC in ECC.
If you have activated ESOA (creating POs in ECC via XML), PO badi is not valid anymore.
