Switch plan to prepaid

how do i switch a phone from a plan to prepaid?

Hi robbies,
I understand that some customers feel more comfortable with a prepay account. As circastreep indicated (thank you!), this is possible. When you are ready to switch from postpay to prepay please call 800-922-0204 and our representative will first check if your wireless number is eligible to be ported to a prepay account. If not eligible to be ported to a prepay account you can always get a new number for your prepay account.
Please note that if your current contract has not been completed you will incur an Early Termination Fee based on the time remaining on your contract and our representative will be able to determine the exact amount when you call.

  • Using Top-Up Cards To Pay Plan (not prepaid)

I'm considering switching from Virgin Mobile to Verizon because my father is giving me his Droid RAZR M. I am interested in the $60/month plan (not prepaid) and am wondering if it can be paid using Verizon top-up cards?

Verizon has locked this and a couple of other types of Droid Razrs from being unlocked and used on other US carriers. They unlocked the international GSM frequencies but not in the US. So I'm kinda stuck on Verizon with this one. So any kind of unlocking is impossible for this. I've been reading and researching it for several hours today.

  • Help!!! Switched plan, lost phone number, can't get it back

Over a month ago, I switched plans for my husband and myself - no new phones, just different pricing. Everything went smoothly for my phone, but my husband's number stopped working. The last five weeks have been a never ending hell of calling "customer service"  or going into the local store only to be told it would be fixed, "tomorrow", "in a couple days," or "starting in the next billing period." I have no idea why/how it can be this complicated, although I do now that at one point Verizon had the wrong identification code for the phone...which came from Verizon's records. Having already wasted over 15 hours on the phone or in the local Verizon store, I'd be happy to give up the number just so my husband could have a working cell phone (we have no idea how many text phone calls have gone unanswered in the last 5 weeks, but have had numerous - "why didn't you respond to my text moments") except for the fact that so many other things are tied to that number (credit card and bank accounts, etc.). I'm wondering if anyone has had similar problems and has advice on how to get Verizon to actually fix things, or at least acknowledge that is not unreasonable to expect a working phone within 5 weeks of switching Verizon plans!!!

never fixed, we both have basic phones. Have spent over 20hrs talking to customer service on every weekend for last 2 months. I have been told three weekends in a row that my case has been flagged (I think they say escalated) and that somebody will call me back the next week...guess what nobody every calls. I wish we could switch carriers at this point, but nobody else gets coverage in our medium sized town. Mamma warned me about monopolies.

  • Switching plans

I currently have the single app, Photoshop, with a 1 year plan. I was wondering if I could switch to the photography plan, Photoshop and Lightroom?

No, there's no fee involved when switching plans.
I've processed the switch and your new contract for the Photography plan will start today for $9.99 per month + tax.  You will receive a credit of $7.08 for the unused time on the original plan.
You will need to sign out from the CC desktop app and sign in again to activate the new plan.
    Kind regards

  • Is there a way to switch plans?

Hey. I took my girlfriend to the movies for her birthday, and I don't have enough for the $14 unlimited plan this month, but I have enough for one of the cheaper plans for this month. Is there a way to switch to switch to one of those for now?

The issue of cross store purchasing comes up frequently so I'll just quote one of the most complete explanations (courtesy of Dave Sawyer) from the many given:
In order to buy from any given country's iTunes Music Store you must be able to show some form of residency which would be either:
    a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
    b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
.......this is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice. And this also applies to all the legal download stores that carry major-label content, not just the iTMS.

  • Have 4 phones on ALLTEL Family, want to upgrade 2 to iPhone. Do we all have to switch plans? Can we stay on one bill?

    Hello,
My parents sister and I currently use the old Alltel Family National Freedom 900 plan and have four basic phones. We would like to upgrade 2 of the phones to iPhones and leave the other two phones as basic.  Do we need to change plans?  Would we need to switch all four of us to a More Everything plan?   Or is it now possible to have the two basic phones stay on the old ALLTEL plan and use More everything for the 2 smartphones/iPhones AND keep everything on one bill?
To restate slightly, can this transaction be done online, and will the website calculate the total monthly service charge per month for all 4 phones at checkout (hopefully using the 2 mentioned plans)?
So far, I've run through the process, and it looks surprisingly possible.  But I am very wary of clicking the red button without assurance. This may need to be sorted out at a store.
    Sincerely,
    Mike

It is possible but you cannot have 2 family share plans on one acct, you can do single line plans for the upgraded phones and leave the other 2 if they are on a share plan, or move all to the more everything share plan, or you could move 2 lines to a sub account so that you are under the same account but you will get 2 separate bills. I would definitely go to a store or call if that is easier for you to go over all your options, good luck :)

  • Month-to-month paid 1 yr plan to prepaid 1 yr: old subscription terminated?

    Hi,
I have subscribed to monthly paid CC plan with 1 year commitment in 10 May, 2013. Approaching the end of the one year, I was offered to renew my subscription and the option to prepay the entire year in one payment. I have decided to go with this option, however I regret to see that my new subscription is not added to this previous one, but started today, instead of 10 May. It's only a couple of weeks, but it's not a nice policy I think, especially because the term until 10 May 2014 has been paid and no parties can terminate this contract without penalty.
May I get back my lost subscription term so that my new prepaid one ends in 10 May 2015 instead of 25 Apr 2015?
    Thanks
    Gusztav

    Hi Gusztav
Your plan was changed from annual paid monthly to annual prepaid on 25th April.  Your new commitment starts on this date and runs until April 25, 2015.  You will receive a refund for the unused days on the paid monthly plan (from 25th April to 10th May) - €25.
Hope this helps explain the situation.
    Kind regards
    Bev

  • Switch plan(from Photoshop to Premiere)

Hello, today I just purchased the monthly Creative Cloud plan to use Premiere Pro CC.
However, I was not aware that I had to select a specific product(in my case I should have selected Premiere Pro) and Photoshop was selected as default.
I do not neet Photoshop, and I want to switch it to Premiere Pro plan asap. I have not used or even tried opening Photoshop since my purchase.
To whom should I talk and what should I do?
    Thank you

  • How to switch Planning to new Oracle schema?

We are on Planning 9.3.1 and we created a new Planning application on our Disaster Recovery Server. However, we created it to use the wrong data source. We then used Data Source configuration utility to create a new data source pointing to a new Oracle Schema. How do we switch our Planning application to use this new Data Source instead of the old incorrect one? (The new Data Source has HSP tables from our Production server. We are trying to replicate Planning on Disaster Recovery Server).
    thanks in advance.

Thanks John Goodwin for solving my problem using "out of the box" thinking. Reconfiguring my datasource to point to new schema did the trick.
However, my datasource name is confusing (it has the name of the wrong Oracle schema). The more elegant way is to rename the datasource name in HSPsys_datasource.

  • Regular plan vs prepaid

First off, Verizon should tell their web masters to raise the inactivity log out time on users.  I hate having to log back in 10 times a day if I'm trying to resolve an issue.
To get back to my topic.  Regular or Pepaid?  Which does Verizon make more money on?  In both cases Verizon collects from a customer on a monthly basis.  However Verizon will offer discounts on a device upgrade if you have a regular plan, but if you want to get a prepaid device you will have to pay the full amount of it.  Taking this at face value it's apparent Verizon would rather have people get Regular plans.  This must mean they make less money from Prepaid plans.
I think this is true because someone who needs a phone service, but doesn't use their phone often can get a prepaid plan such as "pay as you go".  Maybe customers should consider themselves lucky that Verizon even offers prepaid plans such as this.
I wasn't even going to consider a prepaid plan but Verizon kind of forced me to it.  As an Android developer I had to upgrade to an Android phone.  Then Verizon tacked on a $30 data plan.  For those of you who don't know.  Verizon will lose money if they make a data plan on smart phones optional.  This is because wifi is free.
They were nice enough to give me this upgraded phone for free of course, but since I can no longer afford their regular plan I had to go looking for the prepaid plan.  And then they make me have to change my device yet again because the one I got is not compatible with a prepaid plan.
Call this a rant if you want.  I am just sharing my experience with Verizon.  From my experience, in every instance, it comes back to how Verizon is going to make money off me.  Well what do you expect?  Of course they only want to make money off their customers.  I guess I was just hoping they had a customer's (who's been with them for over 10 years) best interest in mind.  It is ok though because I will suck it up and accept their ways.  And Verizon knows that too.  They won't lose much if I get fed up and cancel their service.  I just think it would be nice to have a service provider say "Oh, I see that you already pay for internet through your home connection.  Ok then, we won't force you to pay for it through your phone too."

First of all Share Everything plans data is part of the plans. Second you don't really pay full price for a phone on prepaid. The highest price smartphone on pre-paid is $140. You really think a smartphone only costs $140? Also pre-paid is 3G only. You don't get the benefit of 4G data that's why it's cheaper and you're limited to which devices you can use with that plan.
As was said you can get a Share Everything plan with 250 MB of data for $60 a month and you can use ANY Verizon smartphone with it. Not sure how much cheaper you think you should be getting service for.
Also not everyone has access to wi-fi.
