Does anyone know how to configure-retreive these settings for a 3560 POE switch?
I would like to be able to configure individual ports to cut-through, fragment-free etc...

Hi,
This is a global configuration for the switch and it effects the whole switch. This cannot be done on per port basis.

Consider an account "Fixed-Assets" supported by movement analysis in Custom1, as follows:
ClosingBalance
OpeningBalance
Additions
Disposals
If you mark the Custom1 member Disposals as SwitchSignForFlow, you will enter positive values in Disposals but HFM will subtract from the other two members to calculate the Closing Balance. You may use this functionality if your client prefers to see all values as positive on the reports.
Using the same example, you might recognize that while Closing and Opening balances are of balance type (they provide a snapshot of the account at a specific instant meaning that you see the same number whether you view the YTD or Periodic values of the account), Additions and Disposals are movements, which means that they accumulate during the same year starting from a zero balance on 1/1/201X and therefore you will see different numbers depending on viewing the YTD or Periodic values of the account. In order to provide with this behavior you have to mark both Additions and Disposals with SwitchTypeForFlow. If you don't they will behave as the underlying account (the Fixed-Assets account) and like the other two Custom1 members, Opening and Closing balance members.
As for the BalanceReccuring, an account of this type behaves like a normal Balance account, but once you input a number in an intermediate period (say June), the same number will be copied to all following periods (July-December) until you override the numbers by explicitly inputting new values. With a normal balance account, all following periods will be empty.

Hi,
If the data types provide by SAP doesn't meet your requirement then you need to create a custom domain by copying the existing one and assign it to the key figure.

CIS initialization -- cis.config.server.type

Hi,
In CIS developer guide in the CIS initialization section (server mode)
there is a property called cis.config.server.type (ICISApplication.PROPERTY_CONFIG_SERVER_TYPE)
it can be "oracle", "weblogic", "standalone" , "sunone" etc.
what is this property for and what difference does it make to set it.

Basically what you are seeing there is the list of supported Application servers on which you can deploy the CIS ear files and start using the CIS GUI and other features. The difference would arise from the fact that different application servers have different set of start up sequence and scenario and hence CIS to get initialized it would be using the property value.

Cast test apparently switches types.

I'm having a strange casting problem when using livecycle and flex client classes.
My setup is something like this:
at the server side:

Now I would expect the returned object to be of class ServiceImpl. But apparently the labelField here doesn't exist on the object. The object is also show in the debugger as Object@... so I guess it's a dynamic object. First I thought this was an error on the display of the debugger but it's getting a little bit weird. With serviceName as labelField this does work and when I put a cast test on ServiceImpl the labelField name suddenly does exist on the object. Anyone any idea why this behaviour occurs?

How to config movement type 261?

Hi, all,
My process GI to production is as follows,
1. Stage material from a storage bin to 914
2. Issue material from 914 to production with MB1A/261(movement type)
My question is: when I finished the MB1A/261, the system also generated a TR which I wouldn't deal with any more concurrently, so there're lots of such TRs stacked in the system as time goes by...How can I config the movement type 261 to fulfil this purpose?

Try MIGO with Goods iusse and order option processing with your order number.
In the WM tab there is an icon for " No Transfer Requirement". Try out this option.

How to config TTY type

Hallo,
during my installation I had 132 chars or so on my TTY.
Installing the nvidia server switched this to 80.
How can I change the TTY setting back to more chars, maybe even coloured?

Nvidia proprietary drivers don't use KMS which results in lower screen resolution and thus, fewer characters.
You can use the fbset tool to adjust console resolution.
Colors have nothing to do with this, they depend on the application that is printing to the screen.

Where are config.py type scripts located for 11g?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I just installed OEPE which includes the WLS 10.3 server, and I can't seem to find the config.py and config.properties scripts used to build servers. Where are these located now or what do I need to install? Using the package: oepe (dash) helios (dash) installer (dash) 11.1.1.7.0.201101271036-win32.exe.

Fixed Assets Config - Trans type to partially reverse a previous retirement

Hi experts,
Is it possible to create a transaction type to partially reverse a prevous retirement? When trying to create/define a new retirement transaction type I am unable to specify a balance type, as it appears a retirement always defaults to a credit balance. I also tried setting up an acquisition transaction type, as this allows me to specify a debit/credit transaction assignment; however, I can not set it to belong to the retirement transaction type group. I also tried creating an acquisition trans. type that belongs to the acquisition trans. type group and set it a debit assignment, and retirement for both the consolidation trans. type and asst hist sheet grp. This transaction allowed me to debit the asset to reverse a previous retirement, but the transation display on the asset acquisitions report and not the asset retirement report. We need this partial reverse retirement transaction to display on the retirement reports for tax reporting purposes.
Our business users need this transaction type as they will retire assets in month 1, and then in month 2 recieve additional data that reveals the retirement in month 1 was too much, so they want to partially reverse the month 1 retirement in month 2 (so leave the original retirement transaction in place in month 1). Is this possible?

Go to AB08 and enter company code/asset and select the month 1 retirement document and reverse
And post a new retirement in month 2.
After month end depreciation all values will be adjusted in GL accounts as well

Hi
You can add new condition types in SPRO-> MM-> Purchasing-> Conditions-> Define Price Determination Process-> Define Condition types.
You need to assign the same in the Calculation schema,
SPRO-> MM-> Purchasing-> Conditions-> Define Price Determination Process->Define Calculation Schema
then the condition types will reflect in the PO

Setting up Multicast Routing for Imaging on HP Switches

I've just spent a bit of time getting multicast imaging to work on our
HP ProCurve switched network so I thought I'd post what was necessary
so if anyone else had to look for it then they'd have some help.
You'll need a switch capable of routing such as a 5300 series that is
already routing regualr IP traffic. By default IGMP routing is disabled
so that multicast traffic will not cross VLANs. Here's how to change
that:
Log into the 5300 in Manager mode (aka Admin)
type "config" /goes into config mode
type "ip multicast routing" /sets up IGMP routing
type "router pim" /sets up Protocol Independant Multicast routing
type "vlan *" /where * is a VLAN numeric ID
type "ip igmp" /sets up IGMP routing on that VLAN
type "ip pim" /sets up PIM routing on that VLAN
Repeat those last three steps for all necessary VLANs
type "exit" /to get back out of config mode - you may have to do
that more than once
type "wri mem" to save the config changes
Then go out to any other switches in the network path for multicasts
and login in Manager mode
type "config"
type "vlan *" /where * is VLAN numeric ID
type "ip igmp" /turns on IGMP routing
Repeat those last two steps for all VLANs that need it
type "exit" /to get back out of config mode - you may have to do
that more than once
type "wri mem" to save the config changes
That's it and it meant I went from "Session Master not found" to "New
Image successful". I hope it helps somebody.

Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 - Support for Cisco Catalyst 3560-C Series Switches

I have a customer which uses the following switch. Last year I have installed LMS 4.1 for him to manage the switches. Unfortunatly the switch model is not supported. According to the information found on the following site the switch is supported for most of the modules in LMS:

Supported Software: 12.2(55)EX (Customer has 12.2(55)EX3
Version Support Type: Device Update
So I updated all device updates I was able to find.
Step 1: For that I went to Admin > System > Software Center > Schedule Device Downloads and created a job where I have downloaded the latest versions of all packages.
Step 2: Installed the downloaded packages Admin > System > Software Center > Device Update and installed all the packages.
Unfortunatly I don't see the same result like described in the Supported Device Table for LMS 4.1.
- Cisco View -> works
- Inventory and Config Collection -> works
- Fault Monitor not working -> Error Code Unsupported
- Network Topology Layer 2 Services -> Device Type ciscoProducts.1465, Symbol Question Mark
- VLAN Management -> Doesn't work
- User Tracking > seems also not to work
When I open the report for supported devcies (Reports > System > Device Support) and search for C3560C... I find the following devices, but not mine which i need:
C3560C-8PC-S     .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1466
C3560CG8PC         .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1317
C3560CCG8TC     .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1318

Thanks but I just heard back from my Cisco SE and he assures me that an AP will NOT use up a license.
I've asked him to verify his answer for me.
Is your answer based on real world expereince (the best there is)? That is, are you running Prime LMS 4.1 and does it indeed use up a license for each light-weight AP it discovers & manages?
Thanks for mentioning options 1-3 but I do not wish to employ any of them. I don't mind buying the additional licenses for APs ... I just need to know if I have to or not.

Vlans on 2 switches

Hi,
Our network's as follow :
router (2611XM) --- switch1 (2950G) ---- switch2 (2950T)
We've configured vlan 2,3 on switch1 and vlan 4,5 on switch2.
The router do intervlan routing :
IP: 192.168.2.254 for vlan2
IP: 192.168.3.254 for vlan3
IP: 192.168.4.254 for vlan4
IP: 192.168.5.254 for vlan5
on switch1, the port connected to router and switch2 are configured as trunk
on switch2, the port connected to switch1 are configured as trunk.
Users on vlan 2 and 3 can ping each other.
Users on vlan 4 / 5 can't ping 192.168.4.254 / 192.168.5.254.
When switch 2 is connected directly to the router, vlan 4 and 5 can ping each other.

I suggest configuring these switches as VTP server-client. The VTP server should be the switch connected to the router since this device will forward the VLANs that are known internally. It will not forward VLANs that reside in another database.
In order to fix your problem, follow these steps:
On Switch1:
config t
vtp domain cisco
vtp mode server
vlan 2
vlan 3
vlan 4
vlan 5
exit
On Switch 2:
config t
vtp domain cisco
vtp mode client
exit
Wait a minute or two and then issue SH VLAN on
switch 2, you should have all VLANs from switch1.
Make sure the port connected between switches is set
to trunk and verify if it's trunking with the command
sh int trunk.
Please let us know the outcome.

Connecting two san switch in cascade

I am planning to connect two San switch in cascade because the 2/16 san switch that I am using now only have one unused port and I am planning add four server more. So my less expensive solution is using a second 4/16 switch that I have.
- My questions
How I do that ?
Do I need a special license?
Do I need some other change in the ports configuration for this purpose?
Some care I must take?

The answers to your questions are really going to depend on the make and model of your switches.
Some switch types require a license to configure E_Port (switch-to-switch) functionality, but most do not. Whichever port(s) you use to make the connection will need to either be configured as an E_Port or configured in a mode that will allow it to auto-negotiate itself to E (this could be a GL_Port, Gx_Port, or U_Port depending on switch vendor) after the switches establish communication.
If the switch that you are adding has some zoning defined on it that is different than the existing switch then you may run into some conflicts so it is often best to just clear the zoning config on the switch that is being added. Finally, you would want to make sure that each switch has a unique Domain ID otherwise the two switches will segment and not merge. By default, most switches are set to Domain ID 1 so just make sure they are both not set to 1.
