Switched from American iTunes to UK iTunes

So I just moved to England, to attend university, and I switched from my American account to a British account. All of my purchased songs have vanished, and there are a bunch of albums I need back. Does anyone know what to do?

Vanished?
You did not save them to your computer?
You cannot download U.S. Purchases from another country

How do you switch from one iTunes account to another on your apple tv?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
I assume you do mean a different account and not simply a different iTunes library. Unfortunately, in order to switch accounts, you would need to log out and log in to the second account.

  • How do I switch from my iTunes account to my wife's?

I have two MacBook Air's registered to my Apple ID and my wife and I have been sharing an iTunes account tied to my Apple ID.  Now that she finally has an iPhone after my iPhone 5S purchase, we decided it would be easier to "register" one MBA to her Apple ID and sync her iPhone and iPad mini to her iTunes account on that MBA.  How do I untether her iPad from my iTunes account, and how do I accomplish the transfer of the MBA and her iPad and iPhone to her Apple ID and iTunes account, respectively, without wiping out the MBA and starting over?  Thank you in advance.  I've been really struggling with this.

Doublechecking, tex ... are you using the following instructions to create backup DVDs for migration to the work PC? (The plan being that you then take those to the work PC and then "Restore" the backup to the different PC?)
How to back up your media in iTunes
... or are you using a different sort of technique?

    yes, you are.
*From the itunes store terms of service*:
+to purchase from an iTunes Store in a particular country, you must have both a residential address and a billing address in that particular country. Items on any particular country's iTunes Store are available only for distribution to customers who use a credit card, debit card, iTunes Gift Certificate, or iTunes Gift Card issued in and for that country.+

  • My daughter wants to switch from my iTunes account to one of her own.

I removed her phone from the devices list under my iTunes account, but how do I move her phone to a new account? I created a new Apple ID for her but the phone still wants to synch with my Apple ID. Will she lose everything currently in her library once we switch to an account of her own? Thank you in advance!

I have signed in to her new account in the iTunes store, and plugged in her phone, but upon synching her phone, I think it is still synching with my account. Does that make sense? Even if it results in her losing everything (not too much invested) , how do I know her phone is synching with her new iTunes account?

  • How can I switch from the itunes store and go to my iphone/ipad section?

If I want to add or uncheck some music. etc..   Right now I have to close out itunes take off my iphone and plug it back in to get there.  Kind of a pain.  In other words when I am at the iphone console and click the store, I can not get back to the iphone console without closing and unplugging and plugging back in, real pain.  Old itunes never had this problem.

Click Done in the same spot you clicked to got to the store. Another option is to press Ctrl+S to show that sidebar and then the device will be listed like iTunes 10
    Hope that helps

  • My apps are invisible, it switches from the iTunes to the Reminder's app. They still work perfectly fine it's just that it's invisible, or at least I can't see it on the screen anymore. The only thing that shows is the name of the app at the bottom.

This is a pic of what's happening.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

  • How to switch from one iTunes account to another on iPad ?

Hi there, I was using an old iTunes account until it went all weird. So I created a new iTunes account and I'm wondering how to get these onto my iPod touch 4th gen and iPad 1st gen ? It comes up under the iTunes store ( at the bottom ) but when I go to update the apps that are required for update, the old username comes up ..... ANY help  to solve this problem would be GREATLY appreciated !!! Thanks

Those apps are tied to that ID, you can't transfer them to a new account.

  • If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content?

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
    Cheers.

You canot easily change your country settings.  The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.

  • I have the iPhone 4. I recently switched from PC to IMac. I am trying to sync my iPhone, but iTunes will not let me add or remove anything. Do I need to change a setting since I changed computers? Help!

I have the iPhone 4. I recently switched from PC to IMac. I am trying to sync my iPhone, but iTunes will not let me add or remove anything. Do I need to change a setting since I changed computers? I try to add songs from my music into my phone section and it will not go... Plus the playlists on my phone are not updated on my iTunes phone on my computer. Its like it never updated. What am I doing wrong??

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content.
Make sure you have copied everything from your old computer to your new one first.

  • Is it possible to switch from the preinstalled iTunesU to the original iTunes on an iPad. If it is can someone explain how to do it?

Is it possible to switch from the preinstalled iTunesU on my iPad to the original iTunes. If it is can someone tell me how, and is this something that commonly happens?

I'm not sure what you are asking.  There is no "preinstalled iTunesU" on an iPad.  The iTunes app is a portal to the iTunes Store. Use the icons at the bottom of the page to switch to different sections of the store.  Use the Music app or the Videos app to access iTunes media you have synced to the iPad.
