I recently switched from an iPhone 5 to a Galaxy S3. Now, when my friends and family with iPhones try to text me, their messages are sent as iMessage and I am not able to receive them. How can I fix this?

I just got the Galaxy S five and I have this problem too after weeks of searching online I finally figured out the problem it is with iMessage even if you have your old phones imessage switched off. you have to get your friends to text you normally and send. If the text bubble shows up blue, press and hold choose option send as SMS or text and the bubble will change to green green means SMS blue is the iMessage so its up to the iPhone user to take literally a half of an extra step to send a text to you and if they don't do that then they're just jerks

The simplest way to exit out of DFU mode is to hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons on the iPhone while connected to iTunes. Then just hit the power button as and this should reboot the device as usual.

No icon to switch from Apple TV back to iPad ios7

At times, there is no icon available to switch away from Apple TV back to my iPad screen. It is sending a video to my currently turned off Apple TV. How do you switch back in this circiumstance?

can i switch my main computer from and apple computer to a mac? how do i do it? Should i just install the software on the pc? I don't have access to the mac computer anymore (ex-boyfriends) help...

Yes you can switch from Mac to PC, but with some caveats:
Windows PCs cannot directly read a Mac formatted HD (or iPod).
Macs can read and write to a Windows formatted HD if it is in FAT32. Macs with OS X10.3 and higher will read a Windows NTFS formatted HD, but no Macs can write to an NTFS HD. iPods only function when formatted in FAT32. iPods cannot function as a MP3 player if formatted in NTFS.

Download and install the Windows versions of iTunes and the iPod updater (but do not restore or update the iPod on the PC, yet).

Switching from iOS to Android

Hello all,
I unfortunately had my iphone 5 stolen and decided to switched to Android. I love Android more so then Apple, but thats besides the point. The reason for writing this post is for some reason, I can't receive SOME texts from people with iphones. I emphasize some because some come through and others don't. I have changed my apple ID, password and everthing possible in an effort to resolve this problem. I refuse to call apple because they will tell me to sign out of imessage on the device, despite having it stolen. I'm sure there is a way to fix this but after reading hundreds of blogs and forums there hasn't been a clear answer. I refuse to go back to an Apple phone because this is a ridiculous problem.

Do you know if Apple are sorting out Bluetooth? I'll have no alternative but to switch from Apple if not - it will be cheaper than changing my car with Bluetooth built in

Does anyone know if Apple are sorting the Bluetooth problem out? I had hoped the latest update would do it - but not so. I now have a reat in-car phone system that's unusable with my latest phone. It's cheaper to switch phones than the car but I'd rather not if a fix is being worked on.

The iPhone 5 has BT 4.0 hardware which is activated in iOS 6. While BT 4.0 is compatible with BT 2.1 (which your car is probably using) by design it turns out that some BT 2.1 drivers have bugs which make them incompatible with BT 4.0.
Some audio manufacturers like Pioneer and some auto manufacturers have already issued firmware updates to correct this problem.
Since there is no error on Apple's side I doubt you will see any change coming from Apple

In GERMANY i have no credit card.
Some weeks ago I got as a gift a iTunes Prepaid Card of 15€. I entered the code when I was connevcted to the BELGIAN stroe and was able to use it. Today there is a credit of 3ct. left.
Today I wanted to switch my account to my GERMAN adress in order to buy a free of charge application. This gets refused with the message:

So I'm currently blocked to the BELGIAN store. What can I do ? There is nothing to spent 3ct. on.

So your tv would normally have a couple input sources.
On the tv remote it would normally say input or source or something like that.
So if your cable box is plugged into hdmi1 and the apple tv is in hdmi2 you would click the input button to change channels between the 2 things and to get to other input sources like antenna or other stuff.
You would want to check your tv first to make sure it has multiple input ports to accept connections.
