Switching back to DirectTV first chance I get.

DVR cuts 3-5 mins off the tail of recordings. LIVE shows are cut short if games run long. When told to record "first run", DVR records everything filling up with 80 episodes of Top Gear, many of them repeats. Remotes are unresponsive, slow, GUI is a soggy mess, recordings are listed by date, not show title like DirectTV.... Overall much less pleasant viewing experience. Oh yeah, and On Demand can't fast forward... So I have to re-watch the first half hour of the new Blacklist as the first half of my recording was the Super Bowl.
Fed up.

Can't say that I have heard anyone else claim that DVR is cutting off the end of a non-live show that runs long.
Pretty sure no DVR can extend the recording of a live show that runs long (ie a football game).
On Demand FF is controlled by the content provider. I belive people have stated they see similar on other providers.

Yes, using the windows photo capture application is how you get photos taken with the iPod onto your pc. You should store them there, and organize them in folders.
Create one main photo folder. Inside that folder create additional folders to hold photos. Each folder will become an album on an iPod, iPad, or iPhone. Do not next any other folders inside the first album folder.
Then start iTunes on your pc and connect your iPod. Select your iPod in itunes and select the Photos tab that will be ps enter. You will most likely have first find your main photos folder. Ten select to sync all photos from your pc or select only those albums you want to have on your iPod. The click on Apply or Sync. That will copy the photos to your iPod.
If you should do something later to cause these albums to disappear from your iPod you can quickly copy them back by doing another sync.

The profile manager only shows my new profile. How do I switch back to my default profile?

I just made a new profile to use exclusively with an alternate version of Firefox. My regular version accidentally opened this new profile, so I tried using profile manager to set it back to the default. However, the profile manager is only showing my new profile. /appdata/roaming/mozilla/firefox/profiles shows that I still have my default and my new profile. Putting -P "default" in the target line just opens up profile manager. How do I switch back to my default profile or get it to show up in profile manager?

When a profile doesn't show in the Profile Manager then you can register this profile by using the Profile Manager to create a new profile.
You can click the "Choose Folder" button to make Firefox recognize and use an already existing profile.
It is best to create a desktop shortcut that selects a specific profile (-P "profile_name") to avoid opening a profile with the wrong Firefox version.<br />
Make sure to select the profile for the default browser in the Profile Manager, so that is used when you click a link in an external program.

IPhone 4s call waiting; how do I get back to the first call?

When I'm on a call and a second call comes in I tap "hold current call and answer." I get connected to the second call and the first call is put on hold. But when I am done with the second call, how do I get back to the first call? I can't find any way to get back to the call that is on hold. I usually end up hanging up on both calls. Not good.
Also, how do I switch back and forth between two calls? How do I put the second call on hold, go back to the first call to tell that person I must call them back, then return to the second call?

Firefox was fast when I first started using. Now, very slow to open and freezes often. Frequent message is "Warning-unresponsive script". Do I need to switch back to Internet Explorer?

Switched from Internet Explorer because seemed slow. Firefox was fast at first. Then upgraded to Firefox 4 and frequently have trouble opening. Sometimes page doesn't open, or is very slow. If I try to open again I will get Mozilla Firefox Unresponsive or a message that say "Warning-Unresponsive Script". Often have to restart and do the whole thing again. Don't really want to switch back to Internet Explorer, but getting tired of taking a half hour to get into my emails!

I am having the same problem, but not sure what's causing the slow down. Restarting in safe mode fixes the performance problem... but disabling all plug ins and extensions in normal mode (and restarting firefox) still shows the bug. Any ideas?

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. The shelves should show the ibooks that you've got in the app i.e. your downloaded purchases from the iBookstore. At the top of the shelves there should also be a Store button (for browsing, purchasing, re-downloading books from the iBookstore), and Collections (where any PDFs that you've synced/copied into the app go).

if you hid the menu bar and the navigation bar simply press the alt button, this will bring back the menu bar and form there you can right click and select which bars you want shown

I have no idea what you did or what happened - but I can assure you that loading from a different camera does not create a new library
So you need to supply information and someone here will assist you in sorting this out and figuring out what you really did
What version of iPhoto do you have? What version of the OS? Why do you think that a second library has been created? What do you see when you launch iPhoto with the optipon kep depressed and use the select library option? Where is your iPhoto library normally?

I was told once they put in a new sim card and use it, whatever software the police have, it will show up.

Honestly? In the US (I can't speak to other countries, though I doubt it works much differently in a lot of the world) The police took your report and filed it either in their computers or, on paper. They will now not think of this again. The only time it will cross anyones mind is if, in the course of entering information into evidence about items recovered or seized at a crime scene, the serial number of an iPhone that was found/seized happens to match yours, in which case you will be contacted.
The police in the US can and will do nothing to 'blok' the phone and it's not worth their time to try and locate it unless you know for a fact that it was stolen by a big time drug lord, master criminal, or some other such prime target and they can get a court order to track the location of the phone in order to locate this individual for your own purposes. If they do that, they'll probably keep him under surveilance for a year or so before they act.
Basically, the police don't care about your phone. If they find it, they will give it back to you. They are not, however, going to go looking for it. They have better things to do.
