Switching between 2 apple id accounts

I share a account with my wife which works great except i cant backup my contacts and photos. I want to switch between her account and mine but want to make sure nothing bad will happen, as in losing stuff. When i delete her account of my device what will i lose and will it affect her account at all? If i backup under my new account and then delete it to switch back to hers will i lose all my contacts off my device until i log back in?

Switching accounts risks losing my photo stream photos that are older than 30 days. When you delete an account your my photo stream photos are deleted. Since these photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, when you sign back in my photo stream photos older than 30 days would be lost unless saved to the camera roll before deleting the account. Your contacts and other data the appear on iCloud.com will remain on the server after deleting the account, and will sync back to your device when you sign back in.
As David mentioned, it's usually recommended that users have separate iCloud accounts. Another option would be to create a secondary iCloud account on your device by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with a different Apple ID. Secondary accounts can sync mail, contacts, calendars and notes, allowing you to keep your contacts separate by syncing them with the secondary account. Secondary accounts do not, however, support photo stream so you would still be sharing the same photo stream in the primary account with this arrangement.

I have a need to be able to quickly* switch between two Skype accounts on my Windows 7 desktop computer.
Both accounts have high-security difficult-to-remember and hard-to-type passwords.
Many products have a facility for doing this, remembering recent account/password combinations, or having linked accounts.
Does Skype have a way of doing this?
And if it doesn't, how do I request it get one be developed?
I use a password manager, LastPass, but of course Skype isn't a browser so it doesn't work with Lastpass.

This can be done by setting up an another Skype client in a separate directory and with a shortcut containing the extra /datapath, /removable and /secondary switches.

For your purpose you can make use of a copy of Skype.exe of the already installed Skype application.

Delaying when switching between apple mail and safari

just on mavericks.
it more or less looks and feel ok but...
when I switch between apple mail and safari, everything "freezes" for some seconds (up to 30).
anyone similar experiences?

I am a little puzzled by the libraries and switching between the libraries. My personal computer has the majority of the movies and content that would be transfered to the appletv. I chose to only select a minimal amount of content (of movies and tv shows, music via playlists) so there would be space left that would hold photos. Also, i just want to send over only what I want to view (manual synch) If I switch to my Kids library, it streams all the content well (movies & tv shows)(which is fine and streams well) If I switch back to my library, it shows every movie, every tv show, hundreds of music playlist that I did not choose to see. (stream mode) The only fix is to reboot the computer, and all is well. anyone experience this issue?

Can things in the icloud be shared between apple id accounts?

I would like to add my iphone and my wifes iphone to icloud. If we each have our own apple id, will we be able to share our photos
between accounts, or would it be better to have one apple id and place both of our devices under the one account? If we do this, is it possible to keep things like contacts separate, or will they be merged on both devices.
Basically, how can I utilize the icloud to share some stuff and also keep other stuff separate or individualized.

I might be very ignorant on this but I think you can not share some things only within the same apple ID account in multiple devices.
In address book you can try to create groups, one for each user - but you both are still sharing all contacts anyway...
I also don't think you can share info from the iCloud from two different apple ID's.

HT3296 how do i watch movies on tv using apple tv. I use to have an icon in itunes that switched between apple tv adn commuter. that has disappeared.

I had a friend set up the appple tv but somehow I ahve screwed it u. I use to have an icon in itunes that allowed me to switch between computer to apple tv. That ability is gone now. He also enable the ipod to act as a remote. I cn't do that any more. Can someone help?

Hi, does anybody know if there is a fast way to switch between email accounts on the iPhone? Currently when in my outlook inbox, I have to go back 3 screens to get to the list of accounts, to be able to switch to another account and then 2 screens forward to get to my inbox. Thanks for your help.

Well I only have to go back 2 screens then 2 screens forward, quicker! But not much help

Two Apple IDs? Not a good idea. I believe that you will find that if you switch the Apple ID associated with your iPad that you cannot switch back to the other Apple ID for 90 days.

I had an account for iDisk before Apple introduced the iCloud. At that time, they were using just mac.com email names and passwords. Now when I log onto iCloud it asks me for my Apple ID and it takes me to the iCloud, but none of my information is on it. You are just one year too late. Now all content is lost to you. Idisk was lost back a year ago, but other info could have been moved back then. As far as I know Apple was sending reminder emails about move since January of 2012.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

I have an Iphone issued by my employer. What would happen if I logged out the the company Apple ID and logged into my own so I can download apps?

On of the problems arises when you have to update apps. If apps were installed under the company id, you would have to log back in with that ID to update the app. Also, your IT department may have utilized a company ID for a specific reason. You should check with them, many companies don't have a problem with employees putting personal content on devices.

No. The iPad is not meant for multiple users. You can change the Apple ID, but if you download a previous purchase with the second ID you will disable the first one for 90 days.
That means you won't be able to use it for that period of time.
So no, you should not be changing ID's all willy nilly.
If you transfer your music from iTunes on a computer unless the library on the computer contains both sets of music (yours and bf's) you will delete the music that's in the iPad and replace it with yours.
