Switching between accounts on iphone 4

My iphone 4 is logged on to my dad's account and i cannot change it.  i have changed accounts in settings but when i try to update my apps it is still logged into my Dad's account.  Please help

The apps were purchased on my account.  My dad didn't have an account so i  set his phone up for him.  When he tried to update his apps he created a new account and now i am locked out of mine.  I have already signed into my account  in settings but my app store will not change over to my account from his.

  • Switching between accounts in Mail 6.0

    Hi there. Is there a gesture that allows me to switch between accounts in Mail 6.0, instead of viewing an account by clicking the inbox button. Sparrow use to do this but gesture have been disabled since lion. Does any one know how to restore these gestures in sparrow as well? I just upgraded to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard. Thanks!

    You can't do that. Sparrow was bought by Google and it won't be updated for get new features

  • Getting the spinning wheel when switching between accounts

    Hi all,
    I am getting the spinning wheel when switching between accounts on a mac mini. There are two accounts and quite often when we go from one to the other we get the spinning beachball after putting in the password to log in. I am finding the only real solution to be is to put the machine to sleep (button at the back for a sec or two) wait for it to go to sleep and then wake it up and it mostly will then log in and keep working.
    It's an older intel dual core mac mini with an upgraded HDD. I previously had an iMac running snow leopard where the same problem occured and recently migrated over the account to the mini running Lion. It seems to be happening more often.
    I also seem to remember that occasionally when using say Pages you would get the spinning beachball and then you would have to hit the desktop or go to another program and then back to pages to get it working again.

    Does it occur no matter which way you're going say? i.e, both from
    User 1 -> User 2
    User 2 -> User 1
    If its only one way, have a look at the 3rd party loginitems for the account your going to. If its both ways, see what 3rd party loginitems both accounts have in common. The best (though time consuming) way to eliminate the culprit is to remove all 3rd party apps from loginitems and add them in one at a time, testing for the problem each time.
    If you get the BSOD while actually logged in (say, while using Pages), try running activity monitor (or use terminal.app with the command 'top -u' (without the quotation marks)), and see if you can notice any process running at more than 30%CPU.

  • Loss of Truecrypt volume when switching between accounts in Mountain Lion

    I have just upgraded to mountain lion and I use different user accounts extensively.  When I switch between accounts, I lose the truecrypt volume I use in in one account and have to dismount mount again when I switch back into the account.  This did not used to happen.  It may be a consequence of moving to OSXFuse from MACfuse and compatibility layer.
    Any insights welcomed.

  • How do I disable the cube effect when switching between accounts?

    Hello, I have a friend who wants to turn off the animated cube effect that happens when they switch between theirs and their wife's accounts. After a lot of googling I am not having much luck finding out how to do it. Does anyone here know?
    Interestingly, you can see what a difference it makes by loading "Quartz Debug" and unchecking "Enable Quartz Extreme" - makes fast user switching really fast! But I don't want to permanently disable Quartz Extreme, I just want to turn off this one animation.

    You can't disable the animation, as it is a part of the system/account controller as far as I know.

  • Mail takes forever when switching between accounts (account settings)

    It already happened under Mountain Lion, so I wouldn't say it's just a Mavericks issue. The thing is that whenever I go to Mail Preferences, Accounts tab, I get the spinning wheel for about 3 to 5 minutes until I can see the accounts. Then I can switch between the sub-tabs of the current account settings, display, edit... but as soon I as click on another account, again the spinning wheel for 3-5 more minutes, 100% CPU use.
    OS is running on a SSD (Mac Pro) and everything works fine, it's just this Mail settings thing that makes that changing one single attribute of, or just displaying each one of my accounts (right now 4), a 15 minutes task.

    Does it occur no matter which way you're going say? i.e, both from
    User 1 -> User 2
    User 2 -> User 1

  • How to switch between views in iPhone SDK

    I have been tasked to learn the iPhone SDK. I know Actionscript, Javascript and some Java, but I cannot understand the iPhone SDK at all. I cannot understand the syntax or how the multitude of files work together. Also, there are no tutorials for complete beginners that show step-by-step what to do and why.
    All I am trying to make is an application with a couple of views that change when the user touches a button. What is the easiest way to switch from one view to another?
    Also, what is an AppDelegate? What is "synthesize"? What is "nonatomic,retain"? Why can't I write code like this... theButton.onClick=loadView("NewView");

    Ok, you really need to read up some on how Objective-C and Cocoa work.
    That said, If you make a new project in XCode using the "Utility" template, you can immediately run it and see a view transition (flip).
    Ultimately, however, what you're looking to do is way beyond what you should be expecting to be to be able to do at this point. Programming a scripting language (Javascript, ActionScript) is much different than programming in C/C+/Objective-C/Objective-C+. While not directly applicable to the iPhone, you'll probably want to buy and read Aaron Hillegass' book "Cocoa Programming for Mac OX X 3rd Edition".
    There is a tutorial on the iPhone Dev Center (log in, main page, bottom right, under "resource types", click "Guides", and look for "iPhone Application Tutorial" on the next page) that is worth reading.

  • Fast user switching between accounts treats 2nd user as new

    It's not so much a problem as simply annoying...
    But I have set up a 2nd user account for my wife on both our eMac and our new MacBook. The MacBook has no issues, but every time she logs in to her account on the eMac she gets the "Welcome to iChat!" setup routine. (iChat, Mail & Safari are set to launch with her login.) It's especially odd because iChat remembers her AIM account name & password, but the fields for her account user name are empty even though her information is in the address book AND the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
    She humored me when I took the time to set up her account on both computers and learned to keep all our common information shared & backed up with .Mac & iSync---and it's all gone off without a hitch---but this having to click iChat's "Continue" a half-dozen times is trying her/my/our patience. Any suggestions?
    MacBook, 700 MHz G4 Emac (plus an original iMac)   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hi Paddy,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions
    That is odd. iChat is supposed to store the info in two places.
    An AIM login is held in com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist
    Sometimes deleting this plist whilst iChat is open and then restaring iChat can sort things.
    The Account/screen name and password is supposed to be stored in the Keychain. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=121885

  • Switching between CC accounts on one PC

    Hi everyone,
    I have my own private Creative Cloud subscription - everything works great. Recently I've got the corporate account for teams from my work. Is there any way to switch between accounts smoothly? Especially I'd like to have both Creative Cloud folders on my PC available to synchronise, without uploading/downloding files through web browser.

    Moving this discussion to the Creative Cloud forum.
    Are you planning on continuing your current personal subscription to the Creative Cloud?  If not then you can deactivate your current license by selecting Help>Deactivate.  You can then relaunch the software and choose the option to License this Software and enter the Adobe ID for the subscription you are wishing to use.
    Regarding your inquiry for the Creative Cloud Connection you can sign out and sign in with the other account.  I would recommend just utilizing the web interface at https://creative.adobe.com/ if you only need occasional access to files on your personal computer.

  • HT201272 Can't download any apps.  I have 2 itunes accounts, and happened to switch between them, now neither works.

    I can't download apps from appstore.  I have 2 itunes accounts and happened to have switched between them last night, now neither works.  Someone broke into my original account and racked up charges, Apple closed it for me and suggested I open a new one,which I did, then they reinstated the original account.  Some apps need to go to the second account to update since I had to resort to the new account while Apple took several months to figure out what happened, so I am stuck switching on occassion to update apps.  When I went back to the primary account, I cannot download anything.  I tried quitting both accounts, but nothing works.  Help please!

    Hello there, Gwald.
    The following Knowledge Base article offers some great recommendations for troubleshooting your issue:
    Can't connect to the iTunes Store

    Specific to iPad are the following:
    Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Double-tapping to switch between or clear running apps is not working with iPhone 4s.

    when I double tap to close out or switch between running functions, it does nothing ever since yesterday. I have the most current update since last week and the home button works for all other purposes so it's not broken. Now my battery is draining because I cannot shut off running apps. Please help!

    Hi Kate,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like you’re running into a multitasking issue that’s preventing you from switching between apps or forcing them to quit. Try restarting your iPhone, as shown in the article linked below.
    Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    If that doesn’t do it, you can always try restoring the iPhone to factory settings too.
