Switching between apps launched through RemoteApp from Windows 2008 R2 server

I have a problem with RemoteApp on Windows 2008 R2 Standard SP1.
When I try to switch between apps, launched from RD Web Access web-page, it is not always succeded. Instead of it the target app blinks and I still remain at the previous app. In another words, the next app window remains behind the previous
app window and I have to minimize the previous app before switching to the next app.
Following the recommendations given by the TechNet Online Chat assistant, I've been installed all the available updates on that server from the Microsoft Update, but it didn't help us.
Is there any way to resolve this trouble?

Which version of RDP client you are using? I can suggest you to use RDP 8.0 for better assistance.

Internet Explorer Security Support on Windows 7 & WIndows 2008 Std Server

I have an app page (tomcat https) that i was able to open from a windows 7 professional remotely but could not open from a windows 2008 std server. Is there a security settings I need to disable from windows 2008 std server? The firewall is disabled.
Both Win 7 & 2008 is on the same network.

I need the error information from the Internet Explorer, if the error code is 404 that should be the webpage is not correctly developed, error code 500 means the tomcat server is not available, you should check the tomcat server, or another situation is
the port number is in use by another application, normally the default port number is 8080, you can try another port number in the comcat configuration file to see the result.

How do I stop Firefox mobile from having to restart when switching between apps?

When I'm switching between apps, firefox takes 10 seconds to load up again. Why isn't it already loaded since I just had it up? The Opera browser doesn't do that.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Microsoft, you've created a major screw up and offer no solution for this. I purchased a new laptop, (has a touchscreen), and I can not get rid of the "Switch between apps" tab without restarting the computer.
Swiping it does nothing, it stays. Clicking the top left corner or touching there does nothing. It just sits there determined to be a pain and take up part of the screen.
What idiot designed this function. Have they been fired? Why does Microsoft refuse to respond with a fix or answer to all of the people asking to resolve this?
Really ticked off customer.

I want to provide my help to help you get rid of this issue, instead of restarting your computer.
Open Local Group Policy Editor, you can press Win+R to get the prompt, type
gpedit.msc and press Enter.
In the left pane, click/tap on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Edge UI
In the right pane of Edge UI, double click/tap on Disable help tips to edit it:
Set the configuration to Enabled.
Select Apply and exit Local Group Policy Editor.

Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1 Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

Switch Between Apps shortcut doesn't work, tip won't go away

The only solution I could find for this is to move my mouse to the top left of the screen, but it doesn't work when I do. Therefore, whenever I have an app open, the ****ing tip to switch between apps won't leave my screen. Same thing for the tip that
shows me where the start button is, only when the tip isn't actually there, I can use the button without a hitch. Seriously frustrating considering I haven't had a computer for almost a week and this happened the moment I started it up.

How can I switch between apps without going to home screen?

Is there anyway to switch between apps with one tap? (ie. without going to home screen first). Kind of like a command-tab feature.

Well, you can have one app that you can get to with a double push of the home button (set in settings which you want), but I think it's only your contacts list, or your ipod app. Still useful though.

Switch back to Mac OS X from Windows 7

I got a MacBook Core Duo 2.0 13" (White). This was originally my cousin's and she gave it to her parents but her parents installed Windows 7 and they cannot get it switched back to Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.8).
I have been searching over the internet on how to install the Snow Leopard OS back as I have the disk installer. But the problem is, the machine ejects the disk. I tied to do internet recovery but only Windows appear so that means Mac is really gone in this machine, also tried to boot it on disk reboot (start then hold the letter C) to no avail.
Would you happen to know how I can switch back the OS to Mac from windows 7 without me going to the Apple Store?
I am not tech savvy. I would need dummy-like instructions.

One way would be to boot into internet recovery, and then see if you can format the disk (back to MacOS formats) and then install MacOS again. After that, update to the latest you can, and you're all set.
(Basically, the same advice as Allan's, but you could try internet recovery if you wanted to ensure you were using the latest OS and installer bits that you could...)

IPod on iPhone 4 starts playing when switching between apps

My iPhone 4's iPod starts playing when I switch between apps, it goes on and off

Not sure if this is the deal or not, when I click on my ipod app it's playing a song, I can't here any music but the pause button is showing, is it playing and running down the battery.. BTW I never seem to have earphones around to see if it's playing, however I have sync in my car and it is playing when I switch to aux..

Hold down the cmd (⌘) key and briefly press the tab key (⇥) then use the left/right arrow keys to select the application you wish to switch to. When done release the cmd key.

No. The closest you'll come is the "Multi-tasking" bar: Double tap the Home button.

What do you mean here? You can only restrict the camera itself, not any options within the camera app.
